Hotel Lötschberg

we felt very welcome staying here. the staff makes you feel at home. the room was comfortable and breakfast was nice. good location to the city as well, things are walking distance away. if you come by car however you have to pay to park

We stayed one night. The location is a 25 minute walk from Interlaken Ost. The breakfast was good and main attendant (a younger guy) was very nice but the old German lady was not. The second the breakfast was over literally took my coffee from me and told me I had to leave. As I was leaving, I asked her where I could get a glass of water, and she angrily gestured to the service sink. She was downright hostile. As if my interaction with her couldn't get any worse, it did. We were about 15 minutes late leaving the room for check-out. There was a loud knock at the door, so we answered, and it was the Angry German Sau. She yelled at us for being late, and threatened to charge us for a full night. We were literally putting our backpacks onto our backs to leave, but she blocked the doorway and continued to scream at us for being late and disrespectful.||||She went downstairs and our friends in the lobby and heard her cussing us under her breath. We took the stairs and arrived to the lobby a few minutes after she did. I tapped on the desk and said, “See?? We are leaving.” She lost her mind. She had an unbelievable hostile outburst, SCREAMING at us that we needed to “own” that we were late and how disrespectful we were and how sick she was of disrespectful visitors. Her crazy rant lasted 3 minutes and by the end she was yelling “JUST LEAVE" like a lunatic. Several people have written about her hostility. I would never stay here again because she really doesn't want to "deal" with guests....she wants the minimum amount of required interaction. If you or your kids step out of line, be ready to get yelled at.

the hotel is old styled one and "classical" and good for non-caucasian travellers to try. It's close to city centre and has a big supermarket and mall nearby. It's quite expensive but that's what you would expect in Swiss. The breakfast was good and cosy. The female restaurant staff was nice.

We stayed 4 nights.||Pros: Clean room, convenient luggage storage, helpful and friendly staff, refreshing free-flow of cool, herbal tea. The common lounge with complimentary all-day coffee and tea, microwave, and refrigerator was most useful for chilling out after a day's outing. Breakfast was good, despite not having a toaster for toasting breads. Beat was welcoming and most professional and so was the gentleman who served us at breakfast. The hotel had laundry service, at a separate site next door, which we did not get to use. The hotel was in a quiet residential area, yet within 5 minutes' walk to the train station, which was excellent location.||Cons: The room had a distinct smell which we could not place a finger on, as to what is was. The toilet was small, which needed some strategic planning when using.||A pleasant stay and I will recommend staying there!

It is very close to Interlaken West Station. There are large Migros and Lidl supermarkets nearby, which was convenient. It is also located next to a residential area and a school, so it was quiet. The room was small and the bed was uncomfortable, but the air conditioning kept it cool. The breakfast was average. What I remember most was the friendly staff.

My favorite hotel during our stay in Switzerland! Quiet and quaint with very nicely sized rooms. Bathrooms and elevator are small, but that did not matter to us. Beautiful view from our room was a plus! It is a very short walk from the Interlaken West train station, as well as shops and restaurants. The worker at the front desk was very helpful in terms of public transport and day trips as well. The breakfast mainly consists of breads, cereals, meat/cheese, and yogurt. Plus, we were asked if we would like scrambled eggs cooked for us. We thiught everything was great and would stay again!

I don't understand why this hotel's rating is so high. The price is ridiculously high compared to the hotel's facilities. We asked for a replacement because the room was assigned differently from the one we reserved, but they said they couldn't change it because all the rooms were reserved. The condition of the room was not that clean and there were many differences compared to the photos. The only good thing is that the staff are friendly. If you are considering this as a travel destination, I recommend that you think again.

Lovely hotel in a really good area. We got a lovely warm welcome and everything we needed for our check in. The room was nice and large with plenty of windows for ventilation. Comfortable bed and very clean. Good facilities for making food and drinks in a common room although I would have preferred coffee in my room. We really struggled with the Wifi in our room too. Good breakfast included. Excellent location for exploring this beautiful area

This was a very nice little hotel, perfect for our short stay in Interlaken. Super convenient to the Interlaken West train station, Migros (grocery store) and a number of great restaurants within walking distance. The room was perfectly adequate and had air-conditioning which we really appreciated as it was pretty hot out. I thought the front desk host was very hospitable and pleasant. Our room was set up with everything I had specifically requested. Breakfast was filling and coffee was great. We would stay here again if we visited Interlaken.

Meh. We should've just sucked it up and stayed at the Victoria Jungfrau hotel. Upon arrival at Hotel Lötschberg, nobody is at the front desk. You have to use the phone they set on the desk to call someone to assist you. Then you're asked to pay 14CHF as the "city tax" wasn't paid when you booked the hotel. The room is eh. We specifically booked 2 beds and were only given one. The bathroom shower frequently overflowed. The charging ports were small and only fit a few of our adaptors. You could hear noise from other rooms. Free breakfast was just bread and spreads. Nothing worth noting. This hotel did the job but is one we'd not stay at again. Only plus side is you can easily walk from Interlaken West train/bus station in 3 mins. However, many buses can take you across town to nicer hotels.

This was a really nice hotel during our short stay in Interlaken. It's right in the middle of town so we were able to walk everywhere. The rooms were very spacious and fit 3 of us in our room perfectly. It also had a nice terrace outside with the best view of the Alps. It also has a lounge where we can sit and eat. They served breakfast with a wide variety of fruit, meat and cheese. Everything we had in the morning was really good. This was a wonderful hotel to stay at and I recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Switzerland

This felt like the perfect place to stay while exploring Interlaken for a couple of days. It's conveniently located right behind the Interlaken West train station, and makes for an easy walk for pretty much anywhere on the West side of the city. It has a boutique hotel feel and is very cozy. The rooms are nice with large, fluffy beds. Also, you can't beat the view of the mountains and para gliders right outside your window! You'll also find an outdoor terrace ( a.k.a the perfect Instagram photo spot), a shared living room with board games + complimentary coffee, and a dining area with a free, really delicious breakfast! We really enjoyed our time here. It's a great place to stay when in Interlaken!

I made reservations for Hotel Lotschberg through Booking.com (a site I had never used before) and got a really good price. While other hotels were $300+ for a room with a bathroom, Lotschberg turned out to be half the price! Arriving, I thought it would be another case of "you get what you pay for" and the room would probably be disgusting, but I was pleasantly surprised. One note, while I booked with Lotschberg, our room ended up being in Suzi's B&B right behind the hotel ... I don't know if that's normal or not. Here are the highlights (and lowlights): + located very close to the Interlaken West train station, so it's easy to get to + located very close to Migros grocery store + room, bathroom and sheets were clean + kitchenette (stove, microwave and refrigerator) in case you don't want to pay the exorbitant prices for restaurant food + free wi-fi that isn't slower that molasses - the bathroom is quite small and there's no ventilation so it smells a little - the soap that was provided isn't very good, so we bought our own - weird giant key and keychain instead of key card All in all, I'm happy and would stay there again.

We LOVED our stay at Hotel Lotschberg. We stayed in the adorable attic rooms (watch your head, but worth it for the views!) and were treated to 5-Star service by the staff! On the first day, one of the breakfast attendants ran out to the Migros to buy me gluten free bread...simply because she OVERHEARD ME WONDERING ABOUT IT! Amazing! And the rest of the stay was just as lovely! So nice to have a kind and safe place in a foreign land. Thank you so much!
