We visited on a Wednesday afternoon for a British Afternoon Tea. Our expectations were exceeded on every level - very friendly service, a fantastic ambience, and the Tea itself was outstanding. Beyond disappointed. This property is completely false advertising and essentially acts as two separate hotels. I arrived early hoping to leave my bags and enjoy the hotel - they did not offer any information of the property, any guidance to a cafe or restaurant, no advice on the area or where id be staying. I came back at 3pm for checkin I was shocked when told, my room is "across the road" this is in a modern airport style motel not in the historic building that is included in every image on the listing. Disappointed, I went up to my room and was shocked at the heat inside, the temperature was like a sauna and did not change. I asked for a fan and all it did was circulate hot air. I didn't sleep either night and had to spend the majority of the time off property. There was a single glass (see images), not kettle, two measly pillows that squashed to nothing and a filthy window smeared with some sort of liquid. The cost of this hotel alone should set the hospitality and facilities to a higher level but no. It was over $600 AUD to 2 nights, no breakfast, a room hot as hell and no customer service as I was shunned into the second property - this is not disclosed (what is written is that all rooms have a deck.. no they don't.) I went to see what I was missing out on in the cafe, no one served me.I checked out front desk said nothing didnt ask how my stay was. This is common courtesy. I asked, "is that everything then?" Or they wouldn't have even said goodbye.

We stayed at this charming hotel at the beginning of February 2025. The neighborhood of the hotel is not like in a 1.8 million city, but you feel like in a nice village. The furnishings of the hotel are of a high standard. The staff in particular contribute greatly to the feel-good factor in this hotel. The breakfast buffet is lovingly prepared and very good products are offered. A positve place.

Love the hotel for a calm family get away! Also the food and the drinks are amazing ✨ The Hotel was lovely decorated for Christmas and it always be a home away from home. They even had an advent calendar for their guests and my grandparents loved it.

The Hotel Louis C. Jacob is so cute! And romantically located at the banks of the Elbe river with a view to the Airbus Site. The main part of the hotel dates back to the 18th century and has its charm. The latter also counts for the staff. I was very impressed by how friendly everyone was. I noticed a young staff in the service and an easy-going work flow. The only challenge might be the way from/to the city of Hamburg. There's a public bus going though. Really recommendable!

Comfortable, charming and wonderful service. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. It was very quiet, which was lovely. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of north German specialties. The breakfast room overlooks the Elbe and was a wonderful place to linger. The living room was a charming place take tea with a fireplace and comfortable seating area. I have been to Hamburg many times, and this is the first time that I have stayed outside the city center. I will be returning.

Great view over the river but it’s Airbus factory. The service at the reception was efficient but a little cold. The restaurant staff were good. The rooms are very spacious and nice. The parking is underground - get instructions before arriving. Too expensive for the value considering it’s a long way from the city.

Never again. This hotel does not even have Aircondition. In no rooms! It is noisy from the street and the staff makes party in the little jacob until middle of the night. Then they trash the glass bottles when they finished their party.||All in all it is a no go, especially for the price!

I admittedly haven't stayed at this hotel. However, refusing to honor a reservation to a German chancellor candidate you just don't like is childish and ultimately unprofessional.
