Hotel L'Oustalet

We loved our stay at L'Oustalet. It is in a quiet street only 5 mins walk from the busy centre of Chamonix, the bus and train stations. It has free parking! Oliver and Audrey and the team were all friendly, generous and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet with views of Mont Blanc. The pool is wonderful after a hot day of hiking and the garden area perfect for lunch - had a delicious salad followed by homemade ice cream and wonderful patisserie treats made by their pastry chef. Highly recommended!

Definitely would recommend this hotel. Friendly services. Central walkable location. Savory breakfast had many choice and was delicious. The rooms were tidy with a great view from the balcony. Pool was beautiful and peaceful. We were so grateful they let us keep our suitcase in the ski room while we hiked the TMB.

A wonderful hotel in all respects - quiet, clean, great location 5 mins walk from town centre, bus and train stations. We had a view of Mont Blanc from our room and the pool is lovely. All this with free parking and charming, helpful staff. We had lunch in the peaceful garden away from the crowds - a delicious salad, homemade ice creams and exquisite pastries from their chef. Highly recommended!

Stayed 4 nights during our TMB trip. Nice hotel with very friendly staff/owners. Comfortable and clean rooms with a balcony that had beautiful views (overlooking Mt Blanc). It is strategically located near the Aiguille du Midi cable car station with many cafes and eateries nearby. Despite its central location it was quiet during the night. Food served for breakfast was good. Looking forward to stay here again on my next trip back to Chamonix.

I only came for lunch, haven’t stayed at the hotel but what an amazing lunch! The formule deal is fantastic value, highly recommend a blini with a fantastic handmade pâtisserie treat and drink for €16. Lovely friendly service and excellent food!

Nice rooms and nice view, good location close to the center and in a quiet street, but poor and disappointing service. Reception closes at 8h, not adapted to a 3 stars hotel. As a result, lack of atmosphere. Could do much better with some effort and some attention to services.

A lovely family run hotel. Wonderful hospitality, awesome breakfast, quiet rooms with plenty of storage and a spectacular view of Mont Blanc from every room.

Fantastic! We have just returned from our 3 nights stay and we will definitely be returning! The location is perfect, right in the town with lots of restaurants and bars nearby all within walking distance. |The staff at the hotel were extremely polite and helpful. We visited the spa room within the hotel which included an automatic massage table, steam room and sauna which was amazing after our two days of skiing. |The rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. We had a great view of the mountains from our balcony. I would definitely recommend this hotel. 🏨

Love this hotel for the location, privacy, and the spectacular views of the Alps. The owners, Agnes and Veronique were delightful and very gracious hosts. They cheerfully provided us with information and restaurant recommendations. The room was typical of a private, family owned alpine hotel - lots of wood, comfortable beds & pillows, clean bathrooms and great balcony with fabulous views. The swimming pool offered a welcome respite after hiking all day. Breakfast was the typical spread of croissants, fresh bread, cheeses, meats, fruit, yogurt etc. Eating on site gave us more time to enjoy the hiking. The price was very reasonable for a ski resort town. We will stay here again when we return to the area.

Attractive Chalet-style hotel with lots of wood and fair room prices. Free parking is a plus. Location is terrific: you can look out the window or sit on your balcony and Mont Blanc is right there, and seeing the mountain is a great way to start each day (when clear). Restaurants, shops, grocery are all close by. Center of Chamonix is a short walk and the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi (Mont Blanc) is less than a block away. Didn't avail ourselves of the breakfast @ 14 Euros each per day. There are other more reasonable alternatives. Bed is very comfortable, although the room itself and bathroom are both small. A very nice feature, however, is a small anteroom with another bed that we used as a sedan, reading area. We'd certainly stay here again.
