Hotel Luciano K

I like the art deco elements for the building. The breakfast is more variety than I need but appreciated. The rooms are small but the bed is big and the room has everything we need. The price was better than expected. The rooftop bar is a nice refuge (everyone was there when the power went out for the whole country. It was very communal that night. I miss that element. Close to a cool dinner street with trendy restaurants and street sellers and performers. I have no idea what the “it’s dirty” people are talking about. The tiles in the shower and hallways are supposed to look 100 years old …that’s the point. The art deco signage. The same. The gargoyle was made 100 years ago and is cubist by intent.

Pretty solid hotel. ||I stayed here 5 nights, the area seemed a little sketch compared to where I stayed before but really wasn't bad. They lock the front door at night but there's always someone to open it if you're coming back late (mainly due to the Bellavista nightlife screen within walking distance). Uber driver told me, it's an ok area, be safe and make sure if you're walking at night, don't walk east towards Centro, going West towards Providencia is much safer. I had no issues at all. Just walk like you know where you're going and don't keep your phone in your hand - you'll be alright.||There's a nice bar on the rooftop. Breakfast was included and they'll make breakfast for you early (bread, cheese, cereal etc..) if you have an early tour before breakfast hours.||Front desk, I really forgot their names. I think one was Claudia and the overnight gentleman from Venezuela were great. Nice to chat to.||Room itself was nice, the shower area was large and great pressure, comfortable bed. Window was facing the main street on the back of the hotel but didn't really get a lot of road noise at night and I was up early for tours so totally fine for me. There is a safety box as well.||The only disconnect is between the rooftop bar and the hotel - as a foreigner you can be exempt from paying VAT (which the rooftop will charge if you pay by cc); they'll tell you front desk refunds it, front desk says only rooftop can refund. Not a big deal if you're only having a drink or two but just mentioning it for you to be aware of. ||The good thing is even after the rooftop bar closes, you can still chill up there and finish your drinks or buy beer from the lobby and drink up there.||It's definitely an older building but architecturally it's very cool - they have the first elevator in Santiago I think, works great.||It would be nice if they replaced the water bottle daily.||FYI..... One thing they don't tell you that threw me off a bit was; there's a lot of construction in front of the hotel so Uber / Tour companies cannot drop you off directly in front but they'll either pickup/drop off on the street adjacent or the main street on the opposite side.

Location is great for access to the furnicular, hop on hop off bus and the historic part of the city. Unfortunately the hotel is looking a bit run down and in need of some tlc, for example the rooftop bar and restaurant features dead plants. Still the art deco features are stunning. I recommend upgrading from a standard room which is tiny and has no window. The staff were excellent.

I wasn't impressed by this hotel unfortunately, though I was quite looking forward to the stay. The room seemed a bit worn - lose fixtures, a bed lamp that didn't work and was hanging lose from the wall, and I attached a photo of the bathtub. None of these things on their own made the room uncomfortable - the bed was actually quite large and comfy, and immaculate sheets and pillows. It just seemed a bit drab overall. The only windows were actually located in the bathroom, which was interesting. Make sure you remember to draw the curtains when you step out of the shower! 😅 Service was also decent, but could have used some improvement. I arrived with a couple big bags and some other items, and there was no offer from staff to help me with my bags, though there was ample staff on-hand. They did kindly store them on my final day, as my flight wasn't until the evening, and they were able to schedule a cab to the airport for me. Breakfast was good, and there is a nice common seating area on the first floor you can work from or just relax in. The rooftop terrace was also a nice place for some small bites and drinks, but again, service was mediocre and seemed indifferent, even though it wasn't busy at all. Prices were average, and the drinks were quite good. Food was decent - nothing to write home about. Views were fabulous though, and I took many photos from here. Overall, I wouldn't return to this hotel nor recommend it to anyone visiting Santiago unless you're on a budget, as it was well-priced for the location and amenities. It wasn't particularly bad, but just didn't meet expectations when there are some other great options to choose from in the city.

We enjoyed our stay at Luciano K. The staff was friendly and helpful and we felt like home for a week in Santiago. When there was an issue with our room, we were quickly upgraded to a better room. Delightful roof top with amazing views! Location is superb.

Enjoyed our few days in suite - good position for sightseeing , nice staff and pretty good amenities. Rooftop pool is tiny but it’s pleasant to have an outdoor area to sit at . On the Friday night we witnessed a full on riot right outside the hotel and even on the 6th floor with closed windows, we could smell / feel the tear gas . Quite scary and the rooftop was closed .

This such a beautiful, artistic hotel with incredible views from the restaurant terrace and super warm and lovely service. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough. It’s a great location for being walking distance to bars, restaurants, parks and sites.

Someone entered my room and stole a gift that was in a sealed gift bag. I had noticed that it seemed like someone was going through my suitcase so kept it locked but didn't put the gifts in the suitcase as i didn't want to squash them, thinking that they wouldn't be at risks as the bags were sealed. The gift bag was unstuck, gift removed and the bag resealed. It was only when the gift bag popped open when I was in transit that I realised. I contacted the hotel, they apologised but that was it. Overall I found that the hotel was quite dirty, but maybe the cleaners are using their time to do things other than clean. I also downgraded myself from a room because the room they offered me had no window in the room, only one in the bathroom so the room was very dark. I felt that the images on the website were brightened and did not honestly represent the room. You can stay in much nicer safer places in Santiago for the same price. Would not recommend.

Really enjoying our stay at this spot! The history of the building is really neat and the design and architecture make staying here a treat. There's a 100 year old original elevator and a newer one as well. We came in winter so didn't really get to enjoy the rooftop area but I went up to look at it and it looked fun. The guest rooms have old wood floors and our bathroom had a stained glass door. The bed is super comfortable. The room is medium sized- not as small as some European hotels, but still small enough that we had to rearrange some things to lay out our large suitcases. The bathrooms have nice shampoo, conditioner and soap. The shower gets super hot! The only possible downside of this place is if you have a room facing the main street out front you will hear traffic and people on the streets at night. It wasn't too bad, but not totally peaceful. Just part of an urban hotel experience though!

My sister-in-law a native Santiagan took us to this place. It was a wonderful restaurant. We had tapas of ceviche, crab cakes, and smoked trout. My son had a hamburger. The service was excellent. We were served by a young professional named Isis. The food excellent, and I was full afterwards. Also the price was right. With 4 plates between 3 adults and one child With 4 drinks it was $88 usd with the tip! What I especially liked about this restaurant is it's atmosphere.toy ride a cool old elevator to it. It is on top of a charming hotel, and it has spectacular views of the hill of San Cristobal. We sat in a table with a glass floor where you could see down through 7 stories of lights. It was kid friendly, but still sophisticated. If you bring your child they should have restaurant manners down. They also have a pool at the restaurant, and stairs for viewing from above the restaurant. Definitely go here the next time you are in Santiago, Chile.

This art deco inspired building is about 100 years old. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. There are two fantastic restauarants on the premises. A long narrow rooftop pool can be enjoyed weather permitting. The rooms are comfortable and loik to have been recently renovated. The bed is super comfortable too.

This is a cute little hotel in the perfect area in Santiago. The history of the building is interesting too, make sure to take a look at the pictures on the wall showing the architecture. Fun fact, the elevator was the first in a commerical building in Santiago. We were in the hotel for less than 12 hours, we got in late and left before check-out, but the staff were lovely for check-in/out. Everyone seemed very accomodating and were pleasant. I loved the look of this building, the tile floors, the stairs, everything had great style. The rooms were comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for being on a busy street. The shower was nice and big, and the door to the shower/toilet was super cute (I wish I had taken a picture). There was a diffuser in the room giving a pleasant fresh scent to our tiny room, a nice touch. Breakfast was sufficient, there wasn't a big selection but perhaps that was due to the time we went down, about 9:30am. It was good enough to get your belly full before a day out and about. All that being said, the rooms were so tiny that I would not stay here again. We had two twin beds and there was only a small bench with barely enough room to move past to get to the bed. There was no place for our luggage, we had to put the suitcases on the floor blocking the door, a fire hazard. I was glad we only had one night here, I would have been uncomfortable for a longer stay.

The Luciano K is perfectly located across from the Parque Forestal, close to many walkable dining options, museums, and sights. The staff is helpful and friendly, offering recommendations and tips to get around. A delightful breakfast is served downstairs in the bright and open dining room. A rooftop terrace provides a treat for drinks with a view. Definitely worth a return to this place.

Great location close to both Bella Vista and Lastarria. Metro stop right around the corner. Staff are accommodating. Loved the free slippers! Breakfasts were great with eggs to order but the star was the fantastic homemade yogurt, jams, and granola. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Stayed here one night in January, 2017. Small but well-equipped room, which is on a busy street but very quiet. Great location. The rooftop restaurant and bar is a pleasant spot for a drink, and the breakfast buffet is large. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially the people at the front desk. I'd definitely stay here again.
