Positioned on the edge of the old town, museums and other venues are easily reached on foot, though the tram and bus service is excellent and accessible using your credit or debit card. Just tab in, and of you go.
Hotel Lundia is a base. There are no restaurant, cafe, or room service. There are thermos with coffee and water for tea available throughout the day until reception closes at 9 pm. From that point, the hotel is not staffed. You use your key card to enter the building.
The style of the room I can only describe as a modern take on 1920, furniture with rounded corners and cupboard doors, and a cleverly disgused housing for the ironing board that bouble up as a key table just inside the door.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but with a skeletal staff, it can be difficult to keep on top of things. Though the staff were all happy and helpful, we had an issue with the shower gel despenser not working. Getting out of the shower to use the soap dispenser by the zink had the potential to be precarious as the floor got increasingly wet and slippy. Despite mentioning it twice, it didn't get fixed during our stay.
The breakfast was as skeletal at the staff allowance. Filled rolls, croissants, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Good news for the gluten-free among us though, if you ask at reception, they will bring you gluten-free bread and muffin.
