The hotel was clean and the staff was so nice and attentive. The staff all serve as the housekeepers, waitresses, front desk attendants, and bartenders and did an amazing job considering the bar was jammed packed every night. I never felt unsafe and it's only a block or two from Marienplatz and the metro. The hotel is very boutique and the decor is vintage chic. This isn't a hotel with a bar below it, this is a bar with rooms above it. There are definitely things to consider before booking here, especially if you are a family.|1.) The bar below the rooms closes at 2am and is packed nightly. The street around the corner is very lively. It's very manageable if the windows are closed, which brings me to the next point...|2.) There's no air conditioning. We were there the last few days of May and unseasonably warm. We were melting. We had to have the windows open all day and night to get any relief. But we still didn't get any sleep because of the next point...|3.) There's only one triple bed room and it's on the floor directly above the bar. If we could've kept the window shut, this wouldn't have been a problem. But with the windows open the noise was horrible. It was like our beds were on the sidewalk. We heard every drum beat, every flirty laugh, the cigarette smoke, the alcohol, the singing from the street around the corner, the chants coming from the Marienplatz - in detail. Having the window open at night poses more issues in my next point...|4.) The windows in the front of the building were lit for accent lighting. Our windows were in the front. Every bug and spider in Munich descended upon our windows. But it was a catch 22 since would've cooked like a baked potato if we closed it.
