"The streets of heaven, we’ve heard, are paved in gold — but in Split, we can confirm that they’re lined with white marble. They’re a throwback to the city’s glamorous heyday: around 300AD, to be exact, when the Roman emperor Diocletian chose this seaside settlement as the ideal place to build his retirement palace. Thanks to the Roman ruins and the idyllic location on the Adriatic coast, Split remains one of Croatia’s most popular destinations — the kind of place where you’d like to stay close to the historic center, but not right in the middle of the tourist action. Someplace like the Hotel Luxe, a quick five-minute walk from the palace." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel is perfectly located for the old town and access to the harbour and restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious for a single guest. There is also the bonus on having access to a gym, sauna and whirlpool. Breakfast is classic continental and had a good mix of meats, cereal, toast, pastries etc. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (especially when looking for good restaurants). Unfortunately due to an emergency in the UK, I had to cut my holiday short after 2 days. Due to the situation the hotel graciously offered to refund me for my lost 4 nights. So can honestly offer 5* for the customer service experience.

As others have said, the location is great. Just arm's length from the crowds from the promenade and the palace. The rooms are clean and tidy, well appointment, and very quiet. What really shines at this property, though, is the staff. Housekeeping was the best I've experienced in recent memory, and I travel quite a bit and stay at higher-end hotels. The front desk, especially Yuri, were all super helpful and friendly. The breakfast attendant, Nataly, was always a great part of our morning -- we stayed for 8 days, so we saw the staff a lot. We really enjoyed our stay. Again, good room, great location, superb staff.

We chose this hotel and booked direct with the hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable with balcony over looking the harbour and sea. Location is excellent, only 5 minutes walk to the old town, and with all rooms at the back away from the traffic, there was no noise disturbance. Also close to the bus and train station and port for ferries to the islands. Staff were helpful in booking taxis. The breakfast buffet was not exciting but perfectly fine.

The location was excellent just 200 meters away from harbor and old town. The room was very spacious with great view of sea and cruise ships. The bathroom was equally good. Though the lobby was little small but it was very well done. They had a small gym, sauna, jacuzzi, hot tub and spa at underground level. The breakfast was was very good served at lobby level restaurant. The best part of this beautiful boutique hotel beside location was their reception staff who were always ready to help the guests with smiling faces. Full value for money.

Location was great. Outside the hubbub of the Riva and palace area, but just a 5 minute walk to both. Staff was courteous and consistently friendly and helpful. No pretense whatsoever. The ladies in the breakfast room should be especially commended. They do a great job. The lobby was comfortable and very clean, although the lobby AC was out while we were there. The gym facilities were clean, well equipped, and adequate. I might have used the spa, but you had to allow staff at least 30 minutes to get the sauna and hot tub ready. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, except it didn’t have a smart TV and there were no channels in English. The AC worked well. The room was refreshed daily. We stayed 5 nights and would liked to have stayed longer. I recommend this hotel for couples or individuals for cleanliness and location.

Good position in relation to old town. Rooms basically pleasant, clean and comfortable. Very quiet. One double room had a balcony so small very difficult squeezing 2 people onto it, and only 1 chair provided initially.|Breakfast was OK but not wonderful. Grilled vegetables rock hard. Coffee from machine only warm.| Bar initially closed for work to AC, then only open to 5pm.|Tea and coffee making in room but lack of teabags and coffee. Kept having to pick them up at breakfast. Then they ran out of sachets of coffee. No creamer or milk provided.|They were having problems receiving their payment from Booking, com and tried 3 times to make us pay again! Payment had been made by credit card several weeks before and reservation confirmed. This should have been their problem not ours.|Would we stay again. NO.

Poor customer service overall and in particular an issue with Air Conditioning was not dealt with at all despite several complaints and promises of a manager getting in touch with us . |Never heard from manager. |Left hotel with issue outstanding and no adequate follow up. Expensive room rate for service orovided.Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Absolutely horrendous reception experience. From the moment we arrived at Boutique Hotel Luxe in Split, we were greeted by Yuri at the front desk with an attitude that was unhelpful and unprofessional. Instead of a welcoming check-in, every interaction felt dismissive, leaving us with the impression that guests are more of a burden than a priority. For a hotel that markets itself as “boutique” and “luxury,” this level of service is unacceptable.||||The disappointment continued with the room. Far from boutique or stylish, it was small, furnished with basic pieces, and not tastefully decorated. The bed was uncomfortable, adding to the frustration of an already sour experience. Nothing about the space suggested comfort, charm, or value for the price charged.||||Overall, Boutique Hotel Luxe failed to deliver on its promises at every level. With unhelpful and unprofessional reception, led by Yuri, and below-average rooms, this hotel is best avoided. Split has far better options where guests are treated with respect and offered real comfort.
