Where to Stay in Berlin When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"This budget hotel sits in the center of the Regierungsviertel and offers extra-large beds (unless you opt for a single), some rooms with nice views, and a location within walking distance of many major attractions — a practical choice for first-time visitors." - Matthew Kepnes

The hotel was spacious, quiet and clean. The location was perfect for us and the value for money was great. We only stayed 2 nights and did not have breakfast. I didn't like that e had an emergency exit door inside the room which we could not lock.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially I really loved the balcony next to some trees in Zimmer 6. Especially when it's pleasant 10-20 degrees outside, it's a nice spot to chill. The location was very central too.

We were here for three nights, easy check in with a lovely lady on reception. Stayed in Room 3 - everything we needed, clean and spacious (separate private bathroom just across the hall), and bed super comfy. Only minus is the walls are a little thin, so we were woken up by our neighbors first thing. Location was good, cant speak on public transport (we're big walkers!). Took us about 25mins to walk to Berlin Hbf (train station), 20mins to museum island, and 40mins to the zoo. Shops dotted all around, pubs and a couple of restaurants just around the corner, fast food places also nearby for late night cravings. They also sell drinks down at reception, although they shut at 7.30pm (maybe just this time of year). Would definitely stay again of we return to Berlin.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I paid about 50 euros for a single room with a separate shared bathroom. I expected it to be quite bad and poor, I chose this hotel for its location. The entrance to the hotel is through a modest cafeteria. My room was on the second floor overlooking the Museum for Communication Berlin. When I entered the room, it was quite spacious, clean and well-maintained. The bed was white, I was given 3 towels of different kinds, shampoo and shower gel. The room also had a closet, an armchair and a small table where you could sit with a computer. 2 power sockets near the table were working, there was also a TV and probably another working socket next to it. The wifi was of excellent quality with a good signal. The bed was wide, great for one person. The mattress was a little too soft for my liking. The pillow was only one and also too soft and uncomfortable. Hearing in the room is strong, especially if you open the window you can hear all the noises from the street and road, better to sleep in birouches. The bathroom with toilet was at the end of the corridor, I shared it with a person from another room, there were no problems with this. The girl at the reception was quite friendly and spoke good English, but the next day there was another woman who seemed to suspect me of something and she did not speak English well, it was even difficult to clarify what they have for breakfast, but it's trifles. All in all, as I said, it was a great vacation, better than if I had stayed in a Hostel, for this money it is hard to find something better in Berlin and even more so in the city center.

🤵‍♂️The receptionist made our check-in quick, swiftly guiding us. Our 2-bedroom with a private bathroom surpassed expectations. 📍The hotel's ideal location, a short distance from the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial Jewish Cemetery

The hotel is ok. I shared a room with my 2 other friends. The room we stayed had 2 bunks and a king size double bed. The bunks were not so comfortable. The room had a shower and a bathroom which was quite enough for 3 person for 2 days. It is really close by to the attraction points and transportation is quite easy to the hotel and the city center. We were allowed to store our luggage as till 7pm which was amazing and thanks for the M68 for that availability.
