Hotel Macia Doñana

We spent two nights in this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was very good and the swimming pool was the real highlight, which we enjoyed using very much. The reception staff were helpful and the cafeteria and bar staff were among the most friendly and obliging we have ever met. This hotel is a wonderful place to relax and chill out in a beautiful setting like Sanlucar de Barrameda. Esperamos que volver muy pronto.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was very reasonably priced - so reasonable, that I was worried ! It was clean, comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff and a lovely pool area. As many have mentioned, the location is near the local beach and a row of good restaurants. We were only here 2 nights, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is free parking available on the roads outside which are very busy, but if you are unlucky, there is paid parking on site.

Well this time my money not well spent. I was really disappointed 😞 with that hotel. They say that they are four stars and that is totaly not what I did get. The bedrooms are totally out of date or let's say renovated but in a weird way. We did have so many noises from the gest in other rooms and also from the holway. The breakfast was totally not worth it..nothing special..there was nothing to offer for people with allergies..like something alls then milk except soja milk..and confronting the desk service we just did get a bad response from the service there. Not liking it at all..bed ok to sleep in but over all not worth my money.

Wasn’t sure about this hotel! But once inside, I was hooked! The staff are amazing! Very clean, and friendly. I did not use the pool or the restaurant as the beach was just minutes away. Walk to the Paseo and turn right …. Lively restaurants and bars. Some roof terraces to enjoy at mid day: and lovely breakfast bars. Turn left to the beach bar\restaurants …. The town center is 10 minutes walk. I will certainly return. Really relaxing location.

Thank you to all wonderful staff for making our easter week stay so fantastic. Hotel beautiful clean and we enjoyed the huge bteakfast selection. We found the large outdoor area and pool fantastic for us and we were so handy for beach and only short walk to town. Definetely back next year with family in tow and our spanish relatives very impressed

The hotel is located near the beach in a very calm area but close to good restaurants. The staff is very kind and friendly, especially the restaurant staff.||The room was very good but had no balcony which is not acceptable for a beach hotel where we have 5 towels and bathing suits to dry every day. We've asked for a room with a balcony and they wanted more money on top of what we've paid for 2w. 😳 ||-> The hotel should consider rooms with no balconies for shorter stays and less people per room.||Good beds with good mattresses and sound isolation. We had always a nice sleep. 👌||The food was acceptable but nothing special for a 4 star hotel. ||No pool for kids.||Cleaning was excellent.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel, brilliantly located close to the beach. We stayed here for two nights in May, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was extremely helpful in recommending a good restaurant for our second evening.

Allocated a room was on the second floor and faced the street outside the hotels main entrance. It was very noisy as people in the street day and night were talking loudly, shouting and generally being loud! There was also a great deal of traffic noise day and night. Every evening, whilst we were out for dinner, a horrendous drain/sewage smell developed in our bathroom and made it difficult to sleep. We could not have the window open, to help disperse the smell, due to the noise! We complained to reception and they said it would be dealt with. During that day there was no smell. However, upon our return to the room late that evening the smell was as bad as ever! It appears there is a major sewage problem in the area as there was a very strong sewage smell in the streets close to the hotel. The reception staff would have changed our room and we would have accepted had it been realized the smell was going to be an ongoing problem. However, overall, a nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean and in a good position for the beautiful beach. A good point was that the hotel is extremely good regarding hand sanitizer stations all over the hotel, by all doors and in the lifts etc. Parking in the surrounding streets was impossible. A long walk to the main old town (particularly for people of senior years) for restaurants and tapas bars. The chiringuitos on the promenade close to the hotel do not serve food in the evenings and other nearby restaurants very busy and very expensive.
