Quaint historic hotel on main street just outside the old medina and Kasbah walls. Great location for exploring the blue city on foot as well as accessing the trails up to the Spanish Mosque and further up the mountain. Hotel is traditional Moroccan design with beautiful colourful tile work. Lounge/breakfast room decorated in traditional colourful Moroccan style. Bedrooms were also designed with colourful furniture. Beds were a bit hard but everything was clean and large thick blankets were provided for cooler nights . AC was available but we did not need it in early April. TV in room but we did not use. Safe available for valuables in room. Only one power outlet for electrical appliances.  Bathroom was small but functional. Great hot water and pressure. No shower door so have to be careful where to aim shower. There was no housekeeping service in the 2 nights we stayed but clean towels and toilet paper were provided when we asked. Buffet breakfast included fresh omelettes, assorted breads and pastries, cheese and beverages. Wifi cut in and out but for most part was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful.||

Rooms are hit and miss. First room smelt of sewerage before I was moved to an alternative room which didn't have a smell but had no hot water. I left with back pain due to the bed being ridiculously hard in the single room on the very top floor. Not much difference between the floor and the mattress really. Breakfast was one of the best I have had throughout my trip though with the omlette station being a highlight. Location though is difficult to beat. There are pros and cons to this hotel.

Although the hotel looks the part the facade hides a miriad of sins.|Front desk staff are rude and unhelpful and not follow up on requests. In my case the internet was not functioning, the staff member came up to have a look and advised me he will get back to me, nothing, went to see what was happening where he was rude and unapologetic and gave no options. I asked for a room change as my room was terrible anyway to which he just replied 'NO'. I queried this further to which he replied ' it's full' in very unpleasant tone.|The photos below best provide a summary of the rooms, tiny, shower with no where to hang the hand piece, tiny bed, no place for case let alone anywhere to move around.

This pretty small boutique hotel is located right beside a gate to enter the old city (Madina) of Chefchaouen. Each room is unique and decorated in Moroccan style. The breakfast buffet is fairly good for Moroccan standards. However, we ended up changing rooms three times. First room the heater would not even turn on (and it's cold in March). The second room had black mild on the walls. The third room the shower only had cold water. We gave up and kept the last room, with the cold water. The staff was very friendly, and said we could alway switch again, but they did not send anyone to check or fix any of these issues.

Really nice decor! I will definitely go back, but please fix the AC remote control, the light bulbs, and the TVs. Make sure EVERYTHING works before making a room available. Thanks!

I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We booked three rooms, but when we arrived, only two were available — they simply "forgot" the third one. As a result, our friends had to find another hotel. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. We were three people in one room but got only two towels, and no face towels at all. In our friends' room, there were flies everywhere, and in ours, the curtains were torn. The breakfast was extremely disappointing: the bread was hard, the pancakes inedible, and there was no microwave, just a slow toaster that didn’t help much — so we had to eat everything cold. Definitely not worth the price, and not a pleasant experience.

Absolutely lovely staff who were very very attentive and so kind and lovely! However my room had a bit of an odd smell — nonetheless I highly recommend

Overall not bad, great rooms at a decent price and exciting Moroccan decor. WiFi and showers Ok. But the location is excellent
