Hotel Maestoso

The hotel is lovely and decorated like you are in a (very nice) barn which is kind of fun & chic. However, it’s a bit of form over function: the lighting in the room, for example, is either naked bulbs which aren’t pleasant to look at or covered lights that are too dim to be of much help. We had a room with an extra bed for our adult daughter and it was rock hard with no mattress at all, just a duvet on a hard piece of furniture. Everything was clean. Water pressure in the shower was great. Food in the restaurant was delicious and beautifully prepared. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of food and good coffee. It’s nice to walk around the grounds and see the horses. We were disappointed, though, that my daughter’s riding lesson she booked a few weeks in advance was cancelled a few days before our stay, as that was our main reason for visiting.

Hotel is located in the beautiful, well mainteined forest. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are perfectly aligned with a nature and have a breath-taking view. The hotel staff also sent me the watch which I left in the hotel room. I am definitely visiting this place again.

Came with a tour group and meet my dream love hotel. The style and decoration, the spacial design and even breakfast is wonderful. Thank you so much to the great smiley crew and the great experience staying.

We were looking forward to our stay at Hotel Maestoso, especially because of its location near the famous Lipizzaner stud farm. One clear positive was the size of the room, which offered plenty of space – a big plus when traveling with a baby. Unfortunately, other aspects of the stay did not meet our expectations. The only à la carte restaurant was closed, and the buffet only opens at 7:00 PM, which simply doesn’t work when traveling with a 9-month-old child. Service also left a lot to be desired – the reception staff and partly the breakfast team did not really create a welcoming atmosphere, and we often felt like we were not truly welcome as guests. Additionally, despite being charged €20 per night for our dog and notifying the hotel in advance, there was no dog bed or water bowl provided – something we would expect as a basic courtesy in a pet-friendly hotel. The fee wasn’t charged in fact after a hint on that during checkout. Overall, the price-performance ratio was disappointing. The hotel has great potential due to its location and architecture – but hospitality, attention to detail, and family- & pet-friendliness need clear improvement.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Set in lovely grounds with beautiful trees and conveniently located right next to the Lipica stables. Hotel is a little worn at the edges but the room was very comfortable. Would recommend!

My family stopped here for lunch. The food was great, and the decor was nice. I am writing to warn off families who may consider bringing a small child to the restaurant. Despite it seeming to be family friendly (horse farm, playground, a play structure in the lobby) and despite it being uncrowded, the reception staff was not tolerant of typical toddler behavior. My husband and I traded off folllowing our one year old as he wandered around, while the other waited for food and then quickly ate, he made the occasional happy screech but no tantrums. The front desk person admonished me to control my child, saying we had been around for over an hour and that the child had been screaming the whole time. This was not the case, it was just the time it took for our food to come and he truly was not screaming. When I came back a few minutes later the front desk person was extremely defensive when I asked to speak with the manager (warning me, “don’t be rude”, and “tell the truth”) even in front of other guests, and the manager was also unhelpful, merely stating that it must have been bad. I have never experienced this before nor have I witnessed it happen to other parents, even in a situation where the toddler was crying/screaming, etc. Anyway, I’m sure this place is lovely for some but I downloaded TripAdviser and made an account to help other parents by warning, absolutely do not bring your toddler, they are not welcome here.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms spacious and confortable. I did not appreciate too much the service, especially from the restaurant and the kitchen (long waiting). It is very practical to visit the horses area

Beautiful hotel with a great horse themed room. We really enjoyed the calm night and the proximity to the stud farm which can be visited first thing in the morning. From the balcony we even spotted the stars. Breakfast was good as well. Parking is free for hotel guests.
