Hotel Maestoso

Super friendly and helpful staff. Set in lovely grounds with beautiful trees and conveniently located right next to the Lipica stables. Hotel is a little worn at the edges but the room was very comfortable. Would recommend!

Came with a tour group and meet my dream love hotel. The style and decoration, the spacial design and even breakfast is wonderful. Thank you so much to the great smiley crew and the great experience staying.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms spacious and confortable. I did not appreciate too much the service, especially from the restaurant and the kitchen (long waiting). It is very practical to visit the horses area

Beautiful hotel with a great horse themed room. We really enjoyed the calm night and the proximity to the stud farm which can be visited first thing in the morning. From the balcony we even spotted the stars. Breakfast was good as well. Parking is free for hotel guests.

We were looking forward to our stay at Hotel Maestoso, especially because of its location near the famous Lipizzaner stud farm. One clear positive was the size of the room, which offered plenty of space – a big plus when traveling with a baby. Unfortunately, other aspects of the stay did not meet our expectations. The only à la carte restaurant was closed, and the buffet only opens at 7:00 PM, which simply doesn’t work when traveling with a 9-month-old child. Service also left a lot to be desired – the reception staff and partly the breakfast team did not really create a welcoming atmosphere, and we often felt like we were not truly welcome as guests. Additionally, despite being charged €20 per night for our dog and notifying the hotel in advance, there was no dog bed or water bowl provided – something we would expect as a basic courtesy in a pet-friendly hotel. The fee wasn’t charged in fact after a hint on that during checkout. Overall, the price-performance ratio was disappointing. The hotel has great potential due to its location and architecture – but hospitality, attention to detail, and family- & pet-friendliness need clear improvement.

Great location with Lipica Sud Farm & extensive pretty grounds. We did the Lipica show, tour & carriage ride. Lovely spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the Golf Course. The big plus however was the staff in the restaurant. The food/ drinks were good and the service excellent. We asked for recommendations to visit locally & en route to Piran & they really could not have been more helpful. Alexander at dinner & then breakfast was a star. He offered freshly made scrambled eggs which were substantial & delicious. No other hotel during our 10 days made such an offer.|If you are planning to visit Lipica Farm I would recommend staying here in the lovely country location.

Overall experience was good, reception staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner was awful. Half of the time there was no labels to say what meat or what food was out. So any one with allergies or food prescriptions this is a massive danger. Breakfast staff (female) are very rude, this may be a culture thing in this region but being polite is just something humans should be. Only one staff member was polite, I didn’t get his name but literally was polite throughout.

Very beautiful hotel at amazing place! Very good food with good prices and everyone is trying to help!
