Just returned home this week with my family, after staying 7 nights all inclusive at the Magic Rock Gardens in Benidorm. On the whole we had a lovely time during our holiday making lovely family memories, but there were a few things that did disappoint during our stay. Firstly the rooms are far too small for families and a touch dated and does not have a balcony. We were located in the 1st floor in a room adapted for those with disabilities, although we didn’t require this. Myself, my partner and our 2yr old were sharing this room which had 3 single beds. On our booking prior to travelling I did request a cot for the room, which we found was not there on arrival. When asking for one at reception I was told there would be a charge of almost 7euros per day for its use which I found absolutely ridiculous, really disappointing and wasn’t willing to pay. This then left us having to co sleep with our 2yr old in 2 single beds pushed together for the 7 nights we were there. The bathroom was a wet room which had a very uneven floor. So when you showered large puddles formed in several areas across the bathroom which was hard to get rid of. The wood on bathroom door had expanded and started to rot due to how much water flooded the room when showering. Then i found myself dodging puddles of water whilst using the wall mounted hairdryer in the bathroom, trying to prevent myself from potentially being electrocuted! Moving on to the food at the hotel. There was plenty to choose from every night, however it could be hit and miss as to whether it was hot enough, but in my experience it’s like this at many all inclusive hotels. My biggest issue with the meals at the hotel was the lack of allergy information provided for each dish. My 2yr old has an egg allergy, so it can be in a lot of different foods. Every meal time in the restaurant I had to find someone from the kitchen who spoke enough English to understand what I was asking about the ingredients, this sometimes could be up to 3 people before they eventually got the chef to walk around with me and basically say yes or no to each dish which contained egg. I found this extremely stressful and challenging, and also how some nights he could eat a particular food and then the next night that same food would be off limits. It has surprised me that a hotel of this size would be so behind at providing allergen information, given how many people suffer from allergies now. I would highly recommend that the hotel take this into consideration for future guests, and maybe even have a free from section of foods. Despite the issues we had the location was great, even with the steep hill ! The staff have been lovely and the hotel itself is lovely and clean, rooms cleaned every day. Pool was a little on the cooler side but still good fun! Could do with more sun beds though as they go extremely quick! We made some lovely family memories and had great weather, but unfortunately i won’t be returning to this hotel in the future.

!!!!THERE IS NO BALCONY.!!!I have mixed options of this place if your are elderly or have a disability this is not the pace for you it’s all stairs and ramps and the lifts are like a maze and you have to wait for ever .The food was very good the room was clean the slides where dangerous but the staff where lovely and helpful amazing for kids the !!!hotel is at the top of a huge hill warning!!!! ⚠️ it’s not for the faint hearted entertainment was ok the swim up bar was amazing but the pool water was freezing as there no sun on the pool the. Entertainment complex is to small so if you want a seat get there early other wise you will have to stand::::::: there is a bar on the beach call the star where you can use your all inclusive and can have a meal there if you are ultra all inclusive got to book in advance:::::::: over all I loved it but wish there was less stairs 😆

Staff were amazing, happy to help always smiling. Room design was, interesting. 2 double beds pushed together for a family of three was an unusual choice. Restaurants and snack bars were well stocked and the €1 deposit on cups was understandable. The location of the hotel was disappointing because it was on the top of a hill, however, I understand that the hotel cannot control that and it was close to the sea. The facilities at the hotel in general were good, but the gym was disappointing. Most of the machines were down and the rack for the bar was flimsy. The lifts were quite slow but there were plenty of them.

We had a Ultra All Inclusive at Cristal Park so was able to use sister hotel facilities. These have to be book in advance as they have 2 slots 1pm to 8pm and 5pm to midnight. You can have lunch or dinner. We only used this hotel as a day visit for there facilities but from the little time we spent receptionists were very welcoming. Kids club has a soft play in there room and there last activity at 4pm and last entertainment at 10pm ( good time). The decor inside is rocky which is cool. It has a candy floss machine €5 and a few arcade games. We were able to use there pool with slides and a children's water play area. We will definitely come and stay at this hotel next time. The only downfall is that it is located on a hill, coming down is fine but going up is tiring. But good public transport around at the bottom of the hill alot of shops, restaurants and the beach. Life guards by the pool.

Went to benidorm with my family not far into August and decided to stay at magic because we've been there quite a few years ago but I think it's safe to say a lot has changed overall had a good holiday but I do have my pros and cons |Pros:|-Good, easy service swim up bar|-Lots of fun pool activities|-Good evening entertainment |-Pool open until 8pm which is later than most|-Nice hotel room, very clean with good showers and we were given unexpected adjoining rooms |-Good location in terms of being very close to a maccies, burger king, plenty of shops and the beach|Relatively fair priced |-Choose your own candy floss machine (€5)|-Very fun 360⁰ spinning vr machine with lots of different track options (about €6)|-Safe in the room|-Good morning buffet |-Good snack bar with plenty of milkshakes and ice lollies for around the pool|-Decent amount of Sunbeds but can still fill up quick|-Nice view of the beach when near the Sunbeds|-On some days they do a popcorn machine thing by the pool and it's unlimited (obviously bc it's all inclusive) and is pretty good however it is only salted popcorn |-Ping pong table near pool however the Bats are always being used|Actual inside and around the hotel is nice |Cons:|-Hill up to hotel is a but annoying but not that bad|-Trying to get around the hotel is really confusing it's like a maze because some lifts only go to certain floors and staircases are all over the place etc.|-Lifts are always full and a bit small|-Trying to get a good Sunbed is like war and you get told of for reserving Sunbeds and towels are threatened to be moved|-The drinks they poor are so strong they're |practically rocket fuel|-€20 to get 2 photos with some of the evening entertainment acts (like one with the snake from the reptile show) which is a bit much for all inclusive|-No proper arcades only a few machines|-Pool is quite cold but can be good because its very refreshing when it's hot|-The queues for drinks are very long but expected at all inclusive|-The most annoying yet crucial thing to mention is the really complicated cup system, when you go to the hotel you ah e to go up to main reception and pay €1 per cup token which you then have to go hand in to the bar and they will give you your cups (plastic) for however many tokens you have which you can either keep your whole holiday and hand them cups into the bar for them to wash and refill your drinks in and take the cups back to your hotel room each time or hand your cups back in for your tokens and then re-redeem your tokens for new cups when you want to use your cups again, not too complicated right but then when it comes to evening and night drinks they decide to take either your cups or your tokens in and five your drink in a glass and also give you some redeemable tokens that you can use to trade your glass cups back for your plastic cups again when your done wjth your drink, but that they dont take into account is how many glass cups people end up accidentally smashing and then people cant redeem they're glass tokens back for their plastic cups so how about you just stick to plastic cups 🤔😅👌 ||So in general we had a good holiday with a nice pool and room as the main pros and main cons being the drink system and trying to get between floors being like jumanji 😆

Great hotel for families. Food was better than some 4/5 star hotels i have stayed in, always something there to make up a meal. The only real issue i had was the set up with the rooms, if you like a balcony you will be disappointed and the bed set up is strange to say the least. To have two double beds pushed together for a family of three/four was a new one for me. Rooms are cleaned everyday and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location would be a five star but that hill to get up to the hotel can be a tough one even for generaly fit people.

Sadly it didnt magically rock us. Stayed for a week 2adults & 15yr old, check in was ok not much info given other than meal times but no hotel map so was few days locating where things were, AI so all branded drinks €1 for day cup & food was fine as expected from basic English to European dishes, covers most tastes. Room compact but has aircon, desk, tall fitted wardrobe, safe, drying lines in bathroom, handwash, shampoo & shower gel, powerful hairdryer. Towels & beds changed daily but didnt have a balcony which was difficult for us as like to sit out &chill. Few issues with wrist band chip not working on door & bar had to get it updated, lifts hit n miss depending on times of day. Staff friendly & generally understood us, entertainment ok mostly catered for younger audience a not enough tables/chairs for amount of guests. Pool would be fab as it has swim up bar, jacuzzi beds & tubs but it was FREEZING as barely any sun so unless u get on the upper area where ruthless slides are, sun till about 4pm ( sun worshippers it’s a no go).|Biggest problem for me as having a dodgy knee was the ramps, stairs & cardiac hill made it really hard to parts of the hotel or go down to the beach, bars, shops etc. I’ve visited Benidorm on many occasions but stayed more central & really enjoyed it but thought we try rock gardens for the slides but wasn’t worth the location.|Sorry for long review but if u made it this far thanks, just wanted honest feedback so if young fit an not too fussy then place is ideal.

At first, we were skeptical to book the hotel after reading bad reviews. Good thing we did go with our guts and booked it anyway. Our stay had been amazing especially for our children. We had a balcony with amazing view of the beach and skycrapers. The hotel was clean and all the staff were approachable and amazing. Hats off to the entertainment staff, to the kids zone Sandra and Evelyn and to the amazing kitchen/restaurant staff David and Jose David who always provide us our high chair every meal and for being so kind to us especially to our toddlers. Thank you all for making this trip a memorable one. ❤️ Although one thing, we hoped that the kids shows were moved earlier instead of 9pm onwards because it’s too late for them, and the sound system was way too loud. We can still hear it even if our room was at the front of the hotel. We also felt bad for the magician for the magic show as he was amazing but some families had to leave middle of the show because it was already near midnight. Way too late for children and parents. But all in all, it was an amazing experience! Thank you.
