Hotel Majestic Roma

"Opened in 1889 as the first hotel on the Via Veneto, this neoclassical property is "within walking distance of all the sights," including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Villa Borghese. Junior suites use soft shades of beige, brown, and purple on the walls. "There’s great people watching" from the terrace overlooking the Via Veneto at Massimo Riccioli Ristorante Bistrot, where the menu focuses on the tastes of Sicily, with such ingredients as mint, toasted almonds, basil, and oranges strongly represented. The Majestic Bar serves afternoon tea, champagne, and more."

Google
Great Hotel and Location on our trip to Rome. Spent a week here with no complaints. Great breakfast buffet.

Google
This hotel deserves 5 stars. It has luxury European style with amazing marble floor and walls. I stayed in suite with view of main street in Feb 2020. I am rating it at four seasons hotel level. Well deserved! The hotel location is amazing walking distance to all hot touristic spots. Even shuttle bus to Castle Romano outlet is steps away. Their lift is very antique and unique it reminds me of old style lifts. BF was very good with different choices.

My room was very comfortable. I stayed on the first floor so I had some street noise but nothing that kept me up. Very clean. Great location. Did not dine at hotel so I cannot comment. I have nothing negative to say. Enjoyed my stay.

Google
We had a terrible time there. The noise from the construction work was horrible. We had a deluxe room. Ha! Reception was very cold. But, the food in the dining room was excellent. With all that said, some very expensive jewelry was taken from our room. Of course, management said they were not responsible plus they said I should have known sooner that it was missing. Not to wait til I returned home.

Google
Gorgeous hotel! The service was exceptional and my room was extremely inviting and well kept (with a great view too). Breakfast was amazing, and the staff was always very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Google
Our room is a a superior double with a large bed, full closet, desk, and marble bathroom. It is beautiful and comfortable for 2 people. The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance to several historic sites.

Google
We had the best experience! Beautiful place, bar, terrace, room and 5 star customer service. I highly recommend this place. Our concierge did a phenomenal job guiding us and recommended the best places. Hands down ONLY hotel I would stay at in Rome. Thank you gesupe!

Google
The NOISE! I feel bad for the hotel because there is so little they can do about it. In my case, the staff's response to my complaints about the noise were egregious enough (lit., "your room is quiet!") that it's really difficult for me to have positive memories of the hotel. I was eventually moved rooms, but it took a phone call to a travel agent at 1am on a Saturday night. Gym (note: small gym) has free water, which is nice, and rooms are acceptable.

Yelp
This is now closed , in its day it was probably special but time caught up with it. Wasn't great at the end

Yelp
Hotel Majestic is old and definitely shows its age, but the wonderful service, large rooms, and extra niceties really made our 5-night stay 5 stars. Our room with king-size bed had a high ceiling, marble bathroom, wood floors, and a window that opened to Via Vittorio Veneto. Housekeeping came twice a day and as needed. Each day, 2 free waters (1 still & 1 sparkling) were provided as well as new toiletries and fresh linens. In the room, were two comfy thick bathrobes, a shoe horn, safe, umbrella, and small fridge plus a small sitting area by the windows. We had no problem with WiFi on multiple devices at the same time. The front desk, doorman, and bell service teams where top notch and spoke comfortable English. Sure the location, fancy marble floors, and elaborate vibrant decor were nice, but it was the consistent and genuinely pleasant service-oriented attitude of the staff that made Hotel Majestic most comfortable. We didn't take advantage of room service, the bar, or breakfast; however, I'm fairly confident each would of featured stellar service with smiles. A few negatives are mostly related to the age of the hotel. Noise from the street and the neighborhood was loud until about midnight. Luckily, we brought earplugs if sleeping early. Also, the bathroom had some type of leak after using the sink or shower that we quickly toweled up each night. Overall, Hotel Majestic provided us a safe, convenient, and comfortable 5-night stay made wonderful thanks to 5-star service and experience.

Yelp
Hotel Majestic was exactly what I expected, the reviews rang true with this hotel. The service is impeccable, everyone who works there treat you like a Vip. The rooms were clean and the turn down service was great. I didn't try Room service due to the fact that I was outside of the Room so much but I would definitely tell my friends about this hotel.

Yelp
This was our first stop in Italy and we hit the jackpot with hotels! This hotel is beautiful and the staff very friendly. They offered us a complimentary bottle of wine when they found out we were on our honeymoon. Every time left or came back someone was there with a smile. I can't wait to stay here again!!

Yelp
Awesome location and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Our room had italian opulance screaming from the furniture to the wall color to the window treatments. The staff was really nice at the front desk as well. Up the block was Harry's bar and right in the hotel they had a restaurant called La Veranda, where we had a great 5 course meal on the terrace overlooking Via Veneto. Huge plus about this hotel is that everything was easily accessible because the metro was down the hill on Via Veneto and virtually every tourist attraction and literally minutes from the spanish steps and the busy shopping streets with every lux brand you can think of and leather goods store galore!

Yelp
Nestled in a quaint neighborhood, Hotel Majestic is within a short walk from Spanish Steps and its surrounding commercial area. The decor is elegant with plenty of amenities that we enjoyed. The restaurant and the bar are top-notch, and the hotel staff friendly and dedicated. We highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in Rome.

Yelp
Reading reviews I expected a dated place but in a good location: It was in a good location: hotel dates to about 1899 with features you'd expect in a hotel of this age: We had a junior suite which was lovely: 15 foot ceilings ; separate living room area, three large widows, large bathroom vanity with stool lasts of towels which are replaced twice per day, large tub/ shower combo. Two closets ,safe , lots of drawers, turn down service, fruit plate and bottle of champagne waiting in our room for arrival Central air (Maybe some of the furniture had an Art Deco revival feel of the 90s but not all) if you're looking for trendy ultra modern than this isn't place for you but it felt cozy, luxurious and spacious)). Our room was not ready when we arrived and concierge took us to bar on terrace that looks over the street and instructed waiter to serve us complimentary coffee or drinks: room was ready twenty minutes later . I've never had any hotel do that in the USA and I've stayed in many fine locations . Really no complaints.

Yelp
We stayed there three nights while visiting Rome. Charming hotel in a great location. Near everything but also on a less busy street. Staff are so helpful. Decor is attractive with marble and old world charm. Clean and comfortable.

Yelp
Excellent service. Fine linens and spacious rooms. Would not hesitate to stay again. The concierge recommended a perfect restaurant the first night which we will never forget.Rinaldi Al Quirinales will be my next review and I couldn't say a bad thing about them or the Hotel Majestic. The bathrooms are marble and spotless. The carpets are new and furnishings well placed. The turn down service replaces towels, water, and soaps. Perfect. Love and miss this place.

Yelp
I began my month long trip in Europe with a two night stay at the beautiful Hotel Majestic, located on the tree-lined Via Veneto. Such a lovely way to start a holiday. The staff is wonderful and cannot do enough to please you. My room had a large balcony with a table and chairs where I could sit and look out on beautiful Roma. My bedroom was beautiful...done in Italian Moderne with white lacquered furniture. The bathroom was large with a full rainfall shower. Robes and slippers and lovely amenities were provided. The room had a safe, which is always essential when staying in any hotel. Before I would go out for diner, my friend and I would have a drink on their lovely bar terrace, where when weather permits, breakfast is served. It was raining while I was there so breakfast was served in their elegantly beautiful dining room. Breakfast is fabulous. Eggs, sausage, bacon, salamis, cheeses hams, a variety of fruits and cereals both hot and cold. Pastries and breads and coffee and tea prepared any way you wish. I could have stayed at the Majestic forever and look forward to returning for another Majestic experience. Bravo and grazie mille!

Yelp
Where should I begin with.. The welcoming was delightful, a great hospitality from the man who accompanied me into the room! Discussing the room, it had a very clean and bright appearance. It was quiet enough, despite the fact that it's facing the street *thumbs up* However... When I started settling down in the room, I saw a spider on the bed! I tried to matin my calmness, which I did, and I managed to remove it.. I reported it to the front desk on my way out, the gentleman reassured me very nicely by saying "it is good luck Madame". The spider issue thankfully didn't live on! The wi-fi had several issues, it was open to anyone. Therefore, when I started using my laptop, it began to behave strangely. It has never acted this way before, tabs opened without me even touching them, it would type random codes, and it would open and close from the desktop background to the home menu, and many other bizarre events, I either blame it on ghosts (LOL) or just to be more realistic, viruses or hackers. On my check-out day, I lost sight of the key! And a man, !!!!!!NAMED L.BONACINI!!!!! Had an unacceptable attitude! He spoke to me with a very mean tone as he said "You will have to pay for everything you have to find the key, etc" I was so offended and I said "since I managed to enter the room last night, that must mean that the key was obviously with me! So it has the possibility to either be in my bag, or in the room itself!" This is common sense :) So me and this other wonderful gentleman headed to the room to search for the key, luckily we found it! But L.Bonacini decided to "hide" due to his embarrassment (LOL) So, a few improvement could have been done, just don't have high expectancies! A. 15

Yelp
Nestled on Via Veneto, this hotel is a amazing spot for a Rome retreat. The Spanish Steps are right behind this hotel, Trevi Fountain just a 5 minute walk, and the Vatican, Colloseum and Palatino are just a 5 minute taxi ride away. Bernini Fountains can be found on every street intersection surrounding this hotel. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely go back!

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! Stayed here with our three kids. They had one room with three beds. Big room. Big bathroom. Beds comfortable. Clean. Our room was great as well. It takes a minute for the room to feel cool as it's very hot outside however they were very accommodating and gave us fans and cooling towers. Even though by the evening the room was cool and nice. The location is wonderful. Lots of restaurants around. Walking everywhere is simple and quick. We would stay here again for sure. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Yelp
First night here. Staying for two more nights. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It's historic. Room service was absolutely fantastic and the food was yummy. However this wonderful Hotel is stingy in two major areas. Area one is tissues. Seriously, I've never seen anything like it. They give you a tiny box of tissues. The box holds approximately three tissues. If you have allergies you are in major trouble. The second area is The Internet. You literally have to login with the username and password every single time you want to use the Internet here. It is ridiculous. The location is really good though. But when you stay here with your allergies and your need for Internet at home.

Yelp
We stayed at the Majestic on our first night of our honeymoon before starting a cruise in the western mediterranean. The hotel is excellent and the service was 5 stars. The hotel is spotless clean and so was the room. Spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The location is unbeatable, with multiple small cafe's and restaurants right outside the hotel's doorstep. The conceirge staff are very helpful. Everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel amongst the Leading Hotels of the World group.

Yelp
one star for the room service available all night. one star for the bartender i met, he was great. one star for the Tiramisu. 0 star for the absolute crap dial up speed internet that constantly loses signal, and have to log into all the time. (no exaggeration) 0 star for the price to value ratio. much better, cooler hotel options available in Rome. to this hotel i say, Arrivederci.

Yelp
Great location, right on Via Veneto. We booked 3 rooms and they were all great. Two were adjoined with one having an outdoor terrace large enough for 10 people and had a great view. The 3rd has a small terrace overlooking Via Veneto.

Yelp
Fantastic service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and incredibly helpful. I stayed 5 nights, and was sad to leave. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful in making reservations or recommendations for places to go to dinner. Once or twice, I swear they got me and my girlfriend into places that were definitely booked full. Everyone spoke very good English, and everyone I interacted with was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are spacious, and very clean. The only downside to our room was a faint smell of smoke, which quickly went away when the air conditioning came on, which was always so because it was very hot!
