Hotel Maksymilian

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Maksymilian, we got there late, check in was easy and straight forward. We were allocated a twin room instead of a double as our holiday company had messed up the booking, the lady at reception rectified the matter and gave us another room, this room was lovely. The room had a fridge, TV, air conditioning, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, water, fridge, seating and a lovely bed. The room was clean with a separate sitting area. ||Although the building is old it has been modernised with excellent showers and double-glazing windows. There is also a lift. ||Reception staff were friendly, spoke perfect English and helpful on giving advice on local landmarks, the centre of the old town is about five-minute walk. Location wise it is ideal with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The tram stop is also nearby. ||Breakfast was in the basement, there was plenty of choice of cold and hot food, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, cakes and bread. On the walls you will notice pictures of the renovation work done on the hotel. ||We did not use the Pizza Restaurant within the confines of the hotel as we wanted to try Polish cuisine. ||The hotel was lovely, it should be rated higher and thank you for a great time. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed in Room 2 (Double Deluxe) for three nights in early August 2025. Clean, quiet. Spacious room with a small bathroom and somewhat cramped shower. Great location, right next to Stare Miasto. Tasty and filling breakfast.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel with an excellent location. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room and other facilities were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was sufficient and offered a good variety.

Just returned from 4 nights in Krakow staying at this lovely hotel. The rooms are spotless and there's everything you need, tea and coffee facilities, safe, air conditioning, digital bedside clock and TV. Very powerful shower and always nice and hot. The beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows.|The continental buffet breakfast was amazing there was everything and more you could ask for, there was also hot food too, scrambled eggs, sausages and a toaster.|The hotel is a 5/10 min walk, practically in a straight line to the main Square. The staff are friendly and accommodating our luggage was stored for us on the day we were leaving as we had an evening flight and they booked a taxi for us to take us to the airport.|I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again 😊

Hotel very clean and comfortable. Staff lovely and friendly. Near the main square. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Lovely continental breakfast. Tea and coffee in room. Very quiet. Staff will book excursions for you. 24 hour reception desk .

We’ve just returned from our trip to Krakow and this hotel was so lovely! It’s in the perfect location with only a 5 minute walk into Krakow Old Town and also has easy transport links just outside the hotel including the trams. Our room was basic but exactly what we needed for our stay, always kept really clean! The hotel as a whole was really clean too, not a spec of dust anywhere. Breakfast was included in our stay which was lovely, really nice to have the polish cuisine for breakfast but they also provided toast & cereals etc too. All the staff that we met were so welcoming and friendly, they especially appreciated us learning a little polish to say thank you & good morning! Even though there are trams right outside the hotel, we did not hear a thing during the night and was lovely and quiet! Beds super comfy too. Overall, a really lovely stay!

Really impressed by this hotel. Very central to Old Town. Really helpful reception staff and room lovely and large and clean. Had breakfast included which was very good selection and plenty of choice. Would certainly recommend and return

Stay was perfect at this hotel. Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable room. Tea, coffee, wifi, fridge and the strongest shower ever. We had room 101 - its at the back of the hotel so very quiet, the other advantage was not too many steps up. Breakfast was fine and plenty of it. Reception staff friendly and professional. The hotel is near the main square and the trams pass right by - as I mentioned earlier it is best to request a room at the back of the hotel. Fridge and free wifi -bonus. The tv in the room is set up to use for netflix, prime etc but I think there was BBC news (we didnt use the tv). I was very surprised at the quality of this hotel for what we paid.

This hotel has a restaurant. And there are happy hours (from 13:00 till 16:00). During these hours you can order from a "milkbar" page. There are soup and a main dish for 16zl. Quality of food is average. I don't recommend fried food, because oil was old. Service was good. And the last thing. The food is served on square and flat-bottom plates. If you want to know why this is bad design, than you should definitely visit the place :)
