Hotel Maksymilian

This is a great hotel, very close to the main market square. Rooms very clean, tidy and have got everything you want. Breakfast was a makeup of continental, cooked, cereals, sweet cakes and some local Polish foods, all really nice and fresh. All staff very friendly, helpful and give good local information about what to see, where to go and great restaurants to visit. Cannot wait to return, to the hotel and Krakow.

Excellent stay at the hotel Maksymilian in Krakow. Stayed for 3 days. Room very comfortable and shower brilliant. It's location was brilliant for us to see the sights.|Breakfast good with hot food. We had an issue with our visit to Auschwitz and the receptionist was brilliant. He assisted us in a few ways. first class.

Good hotel and excellent breakfast. |Walking distance to main square. |Ask for room at back to avoid tramway noise. Staff were helpful. Across courtyard is a pizza restaurant( not part of hotel) but only open until 10 pm Wed to Sun. So no noise after that.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Maksymilian, we got there late, check in was easy and straight forward. We were allocated a twin room instead of a double as our holiday company had messed up the booking, the lady at reception rectified the matter and gave us another room, this room was lovely. The room had a fridge, TV, air conditioning, safe, tea/coffee making facilities, water, fridge, seating and a lovely bed. The room was clean with a separate sitting area. ||Although the building is old it has been modernised with excellent showers and double-glazing windows. There is also a lift. ||Reception staff were friendly, spoke perfect English and helpful on giving advice on local landmarks, the centre of the old town is about five-minute walk. Location wise it is ideal with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The tram stop is also nearby. ||Breakfast was in the basement, there was plenty of choice of cold and hot food, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, cakes and bread. On the walls you will notice pictures of the renovation work done on the hotel. ||We did not use the Pizza Restaurant within the confines of the hotel as we wanted to try Polish cuisine. ||The hotel was lovely, it should be rated higher and thank you for a great time. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel location is perfect. Room was clean and towels changed daily. Breakfast was basic but ok. The only issue could be no lift to certain rooms. This wasn't an issue for us as my son was able to carry the suitcase up two flights of stairs. Might have been a problem for elderly people.

I would just like to thank all staff at the Hotel Maksymilian for a wonderful stay last week.|The hotel is very central, basically just turn right outside the hotel and you are in the main square within 10 minutes.|The hotel exceeded all expectations.|We had a triple bedded room on the front of the hotel which was spacious,beds were incredibly comfortable and although the shower was quite small we had constant hot water.I have to give a special shout out to the room attendants who were exceptional,cleaning our room every day,fresh bed linen and towels etc..|Also the tea and coffee and free water was topped up daily.|The breakfast was included in the price with plenty of options available and were always topped up if needed and again the breakfast staff were also excellent.|I have heard some comments regarding the noise of the trams can be a problem to some if your room is on the front of the hotel like ours was and no doubt you can hear them but it certainly wasn't a problem for us.|There is also a very handy mini market across the road plus restaurants/bars and fast food nearby.|In conclusion I wholly recommend staying in this hotel you won't be disappointed.|The hotel is exceptional well run,congratulations to everyone involved

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a really good experience. The prices are great (we spent less than 500 euros for a three-bed room) and our room was spacious and well-maintained. The hotel is also in an ideal location on a street with a beautiful garden, close to the main square and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. The breakfast offers everything you could want, however it's important to note that the food isn't well-separated, and potential allergens aren't indicated. This could be a problem for people with allergies. The hotel also offers other services like massages and tours to nearby attractions at fair prices. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel because of its friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and fantastic location.

Stayed in Room 2 (Double Deluxe) for three nights in early August 2025. Clean, quiet. Spacious room with a small bathroom and somewhat cramped shower. Great location, right next to Stare Miasto. Tasty and filling breakfast.

This hotel has a restaurant. And there are happy hours (from 13:00 till 16:00). During these hours you can order from a "milkbar" page. There are soup and a main dish for 16zl. Quality of food is average. I don't recommend fried food, because oil was old. Service was good. And the last thing. The food is served on square and flat-bottom plates. If you want to know why this is bad design, than you should definitely visit the place :)
