Hotel Malovec

Tidy, clean and comfortable rooms. Good onsite parking available. Hotel is very easy to find and navigate. Breakfast was a little disappointing with very limited choices (especially for those with dietary restrictions) but not too bad overall.

We were doing a cycling tour and booked an overnight stay in Hotel Malovec as a convenient stopping off point when cycling from Piran. This allowed us to time to visit Skocjan Caves in the afternoon before heading off the following day to cycle to Postojna Caves.||Hotel Malovec is a well run 3* hotel with the benefit of a secure garage to store our bicycles. We booked a double room directly with the hotel by email. We felt the hotel offered very good value for money and breakfast was also very good.||The restaurant was a bit brightly lit so we had dinner at local Picerija Etna instead which was a 5 min walk away and was very good (Pizza’s, Pasta and Steak). ||We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Malovec and for EUR 90 including breakfast we would highly recommend. ||P.S. Skocjan Caves and Postojna Caves are ranked #4 and #6 in the world and cannot be missed!

Clean, safe and very clinical hotel. Rooms are good and well maintained. Breakfast, especially the coffee was disappointing. Beware rooms at the front of the hotel, they over look noise and plumes of smoke from the bar underneath. More of a business hotel than a relaxing tourist stay.

Were given room 1, a good sized room with balcony. But this balcony above outside bar area, at hotel entrance. Subsequently, very aware of smoke on our balcony, and loud conversations until 10.30 pm

Srayed in one of the family rooms. Comfortable room and very friendly staff. And the restaurant next door was amazing. Enjoyed our stay!

Stayed end of May for 3 nights (2 rooms). the rooms were large good maintained. Good location for visiting the caves and the coast. Breakfast could be better (service and products) but on days without large groups it was OK. Good parking. The service in the restaurant was unfriendly.

This is absolutely the best place to stay at when visiting the caves in Slovenia! Wonderful rooms, excellent breakfast service, and super cheap! This is better than the VIP rooms near Amsterdam ‼️

Hotel Malavec is an older hotel but had decent sized rooms and was clean. The furnishings were a little outdated, but it all worked. They had a very nice breakfast in the morning that was included. Good parking and very close to the interstate but not close enough that you heard the cars. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance in the small town. It’s a good location if you are there to see the caves.
