Hotel Maltese Cross

Perfect little hotel, beautifull exterior and interior, we had spacious deluxe room overlooking Tepla river. Even though we arrived late reception was waiting especially for us till 11 p.m. But you need to tell in advance if you have a late arrival. Breakfast is on the last floor under the roof, very decent, served from 8 till 10. Location is good, on the main street, easy to find, but if you arrive by bus, it is a bit of a walk, as it is on the other side of town. Overall good value for money and good service, would recommend it.

Huge rooms, but the grout in the bathroom needed a very good scrub which made me doubt of the hotels cleanliness. The price is amazing considering Karlovy Vary is so expensive. Breakfast is great. The view and location too. Having no parking is totally inconvenient. The hotel is on a pedestrian street and offers absolutely no parking. The reception closes for the night rather early in the evening and so do all the shops in town. The only option if you get hungry after 10 pm is the lightly stocked mini-bar. The city is totally dead at night. Hence the hotel also is.||At our arrival, the reception was unattended and the front door locked. We had to ring the door bell for a long time for the clerk to come. The same clerk was also not of the best help, not being czeck, she couldn't answer our questions.

I was lucky to get a room with a view of the river and the promenade, do look for that when you book your stay there! Nothing wrong with other rooms, but the rooms facing the river seem to be larger and have morning sunshine. The hotel is well kept and the staff friendly and helpful. There's a nice 4th-floor restaurant with tables outside. Parking is a weak spot, even though the website says the hotel has parking this is quite far away.

The main reason we loved staying at this hotel is because of the excellent location, close to Grandhotel Pupp. Our two bedroom penthouse is clean and spacious. We were disappointed the room was not cleaned though and was not told in advance. The breakfast is included consisting of cold cuts, cheeses,cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. We would definitely choose this hotel again when we return.

This is without a doubt the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The room rate was incredibly low for a place so centrally located in the shopping district of Karlovy Vary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Oh, yes, important stuff ... comfy bed, clean bathroom and a merely okay breakfast that doesn't get served until 8:00 AM ... there's no where else nearby to buy coffee earlier!!! Be prepared or go drink warm water out of the springs like everyone else!!! * Very little single use plastic here!!!

Small nice hotel. We upgraded to the suit for 10 euro, which was like a basic flat. Could have nicer staff but were OK. We got what we needed. Breakfast was basic, no hot dishes, eggs and such, and you need to climb squirly stairs.

The hotel is in the centre of Karlovy Vary. Rooms are spacious and nice. Some are facing the main road, so it could be noisy during summer. We stayed three nights and during the whole time nobody cleaned the bathroom, nor change the towels. Breakfast is quite good.

Great hotel to stay at in the centre of Karlsbad. Hotel is a bit cheaper than the other hotels, but is still great to stay at (clean, nice rooms, good breakfast). If you're in budget but want to stay in the centre of Karlsbad, I do recommend this hotel. Important to know is that there is no parking spot at this hotel, you have to park a bit further (10 minute walk).
