The staff needs more customer service training, we had to, literally, ask them to clean our room. |Not even sure if the bathroom was really clean because it smelled very bad. |Good thing: they have this book area, coffee and microwave that you can use, a small balcony; nice. |One of the girls was really nice tho.

It is worth noting that when we stayed here, they were in the process of repainting the rooms. Therefore, there was only one room available at the time (mid Jan 2014). The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was basic but pleasant enough.||||Unfortunately, there were intermittent sewage smells from the bathroom, which can only be down to the pipes. There was also a serious lack of natural light.||||All in all, it's not a bad place to stay and the terrace (with reasonable wifi) provides a nice place to relax.

I was able to stay at Hotel Mango and it was such a great experience meeting the new management team, they have transformed this hotel to a very CLEAN and SAFE place to stay while visiting Tela!! I really liked the new rooms and if you reserve the room with AC you won't have any problem being Hot or uncomfortable. Please contact their Facebook page they are very good at responding quick and very relievable.

I have been there for 2 nights. for 18 US was good value.||Unfortunatly, the Hotel stay in the downtown area, so, there are lots of shops, and not just 1, where the daytime is REALLY loud music is producing.||||Imagine, you sitting in the nice terrace, have your laptop in front of you, and you CANNOT concentrate, because, so many different music sounds are flying through the air....||||And the room witch i had, was nice and clean, but, the van was nearly dead, so it was hot hot hot...||||But, beach and city, food and coffee was really near, like 5 min. walk.

We stayed at Hotel Mango five nights in October 2013 and paid about $25 a night. We paid $5 extra for air-conditioning. Our room with a private bathroom was small, simple and clean and included cable TV. We stayed here in conjunction with our week of Spanish language classes. The hotel is centrally located, although Tela is not a particularly nice town. We were warned against going out after dark. Next time I would pay more and stay at one of the hotels on the beach.

If you're looking for luxury you certainly won't find it here. Everything about the hotel is meant to be simple and nothing exceptional. It's in a location that's closer to what I'll best describe as commercial area. So you get quite a cacophony of noises. the noise dies down as the sunset comes around but picks right back up around 7 am with an assortment of loud music close by contributed with the hustle and bustle environment don't make for a good mix if you're looking for a relaxed night of sleep. Although the plus side is that it's relatively on the cheap side and is one of the better cheap budget ones in tela from walking around and checking out the other hotels. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation if not you might get an unkept room at walk in.also the hotel describes itself as a Spanish school but you just might have to learn in a very informal setting surrounded by the blaring music and interrupting honking now and then

Dumped here as part of a group tour. Not impressed and will be complaining on my return home. Basic rooms with ceiling fans which are practically useless and very noisy. An earlier reviewer talks about the rooms being painted in Jan 2014. Well it's now Dec and I'm not sure if it's finished what has been done has been completed by a blind man with one arm tied behind his back.
