This was a very smart hotel. Elegant, with some character, and a bit of a sexy vibe, probably fun if you're travelling as a couple, or hooking up. Personally, I was more interested in breakfast, which was really good, with a very classy presentation. They also have a snack bar on the ground floor which I believe is open all night, so you can go down and get a drink or a sandwich any time. It's not the kind of hotel with a social vibe, but its comfortable and well located.
My only minor complaint is that I followed their self-check in service precisely, it's simple, but then my key card wouldn't open my door. The lock just kept flashing blue. When I went back to the lobby, it was difficult to find a member of staff to help me, so I asked the young girl at the bar, and she did help, but was not friendly or gracious about it (there was literally no one else around for me to ask, and there were no other customers). I know I probably just caught her at a bad moment, but it doesn't feel great to be greeted by a machine, and your only human interaction is to be treated like an inconvenience. It kind of sets the tone of your stay, you know?
Anyway, basically I thought the hotel was very nice.
