This is a great little hotel comprised of several bungalows, pointed on a hill overlooking the surrounding village and Ranomafana National Park. Rooms were nice and clean and we found lots of different wildlife on the premises. The staff was very nice and always willing to show us different species of frogs, chameleons and geckos. Food was good and cheap, especially the Chinese soup that hit the spot!

Friendly reception and restaurant staff. Located on a busy street and close to the small village. Parking on site|Room was very clean with shiny floors and fresh clean linen. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Mosquito net but no mosquitos in room. Hot shower but no shower curtain. No TV or mini fridge|Breakfast was tea, coffee, juice, roll, butter and jam, egg of your choice.|Big uphill climb from reception to reach the rooms, ascending stone ramps and 25-30 steps. There is staff to porter your luggage. |Note:There is a room in the main building that emits noxious smoke all day due to burning ?charcoal! This smell made its way uphill and into my room.

Didn't stay here, but I did go here for food. It is quite good for vegitarian food, which is limited in terms of variety and quality in the area. This had more choices than most, and the flavours were good. It was certainly one of the better meals we had, so we went back a second time. Portion sizes are overly generous, so work up an appetite before you eat. The prices were good. Would definitely eat here again next time I'm in Ranomafana

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour and found the hotel room extremely minimalist. Bed had mosquito net, room had a fan, minimal power outlets, shower was hand held only.|Free wifi only at reception/restaurant. Quite a few stairs to get up to some rooms, but lovely view.

Located little bit outside of center of Ranomafane this place offers stay to sleep and restaurant. I didn't sleep here, but we went for a dinner. I suggest you to pick goulash versions of dish, they both were very good. Grilled steak unfortunatelly came colder then warm, it was just to thin to be called steak and to chewy. Same goes for chicken, which is obviously local chicken as it was also chewy and very skinny. If I ws the Chef I would put chicken along with various vegetables under the pot, cover with lid and put coal over it and "cooked" slowly for at least 40 minutes, so juices mix up. Then you would get chicken from which bone meat would literally slip off. This is my suggestoon only. Pommes frites were very good, and flammable banana too, and wuth 4 large beers price for 4 people was less then 110.00 Ari (25euros) 03rd.Aug.2024.

We ate in the 'HOTEL MANJA restaurant' a couple of times and the meals were much better, cheaper and tastier than at the Centrest Hotel Restaurant. Well worth a visit, and we enjoyed sitting outside whilst eating, people watching.

Stopped there for lunch. Rice and beans (with Zebu or pork) was delicious and a lot for one person. Prices are also on the lower side than other more touristic places in the village. Definitely a good option for a quick lunch.

Stayed 3 nights in family bungalows, which were great value, and superbly located.|Gardens are really pretty and from outside the front of our bungalows there's a great view along the main street and the forested hills behind.|Yes there's a steepish path to get up to them, but the payoff is the great view.|An easy short walk into town, but you're away from any noise, so location is perfect I think.|We were lucky with the weather in Ranomafana - apparently it rains a lot!|Hosts are helpful, restaurant service was good. Our roadtrip pile of laundry came back clean and dry, very reasonably priced. |(They have a VISA machine for card payment which was working at the time of our visit - this is a rarity in Madagascar!)|The restaurant verandah is a lovely place to hang out.|As well as the National Park day and night walks (Diamondra is a great guide), also recommend a trip to the thermal baths, arboretum, a kayak trip down the river and a meal at Le Grenat.
