No doubts! This is one of the best accommodations I have been in Montreal. The service is excellent. Copious breakfast is served in the morning. The rooms are immaculate. This is an old Victorian style building with lots of character.

It’s impossible to sleep at this hotel. The walls are extremely thin to the point where you can hear other people snoring. Anytime anyone uses the washroom in other rooms, it’s extremely loud and it takes a minimum of 5 minutes for the water tank refilling (which sounds like you’re sitting beside a large outdoor fountain) to stop making noise. When someone walks in the room above, there are banging noises as if people are dropping large boxes above. I do not recommend staying here — the staff are belligerent and unwilling to address guest concerns.

We spent three wonderful nights at this lovely boutique hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal—just a short walk from the lively Latin Quarter and conveniently close to the metro, which made getting around the city a breeze. Our room was both comfortable and chic, with stylish décor and a cosy atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile and offer helpful tips for exploring the area. It was the perfect base for our Montreal adventure, and we’d happily return.

I stayed here for one night on a quick in the city business stay. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. The building/ house is incredibly beautiful. I love historic homes and details so for me this was the cherry on top. But the room was affordable, which is why I chose it in the first place (along with a great location). Can walk to a lot of major places. The bed was incredibly comfortable. It was quiet. The robes were so fluffy (there were robes!). The ac was quiet and kept things at a perfect temperature. They have a wine bar in which I had a glass of wine in the charming lounge before heading out for dinner. They had free breakfast. Which had a ton of pastries, granola, yogurt, eggs, breads, home made jams and syrups. This was not your avg free continental breakfast. Coffee ans tea was free all the time. Same with fresh cold water. Hands down impressed. The only thing is that it's an older building. And there are stairs. But in montreal in general this is normal. Lastly! The staff. So friendly. The woman at breakfast greeting and asking each guest if thry wanted their room cleaned. Reminding them of the transit strike. Just wow. Thank you!

I had a fantastic time here. The entire hotel is gorgeous and impeccably styled, especially the lobby/breakfast area. My room was spacious, clean and had strong AC (important for those Montreal summers). The bathrooms were fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion - which all smelled great. The free breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Having a late night glass of wine in the lobby is an experience not to be missed. The staff are absolutely lovely and super helpful. I definitely want to stay here again the next time I'm in Montreal.

Hi. Perfect location for everything. Very clean and very good staff. Breakfast was good . We upgraded ( just one degree) to get a superior queen room ; you need to go up another degree to get a room that mirrors the photos. We were disappointed with our room ; with it being small and no decent view ( fire escape) . There are indeed rooms that mirror the pics but you need to pay a bit more ! Thanks for a lovely week , happy to return , but we need to pay you more 😂

This is the type of hotel one wants to visit once in a while, if possible a few times every year. As we live in Europe this will definitely not possible, but it discribes well how we feel about it. Everything to our taste! Spacious room with classic furniture, beautiful lounge/ breakfast room with unique seating in different corners and a very good choice of breakfast items. Good location, walking distance from the city centre, our favourite restaurants and the bus station. And first of all: a very friendly staff. We mention Carol one if the most friendly hotel staff we met, but the only reason we cannot mention others is that we don't know their names. Stayed in may 2025. Always slow regarding hotel reviews, often format, but this time really want to let them know we loved our stay. :-)

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and made us feel right at home. Our deluxe room was beautifully designed, spacious, and thoughtfully organized, with a bathroom that was both modern and comfortable. It truly exceeded our expectations. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
Stayed here with my partner. It was an amazing experience. The hotel takes you back in time. It has so much character and history. I'm so happy I chose this place over the newer hotels. There are no elevators so make sure you can carry your luggage up the stairs. The checkin process was smooth. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. We had breakfast every morning and it was satisfying. The area is close to metro and St Laurent where you can find Shwartz Deli! I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Yelp
Great and cute hotel. Felt like being at home and close to lots of beautiful Neighborhoods such as Little Portugal. I would stay there again

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed here for my first trip to Montreal, and it is lovely! It has a great location in the middle of the city, so we could easily walk throughout Montreal: to Mile End, to Downtown, to Old Montreal. The staff was very nice and helpful (especially Frederic!), and the included breakfast (pastries, yogurt, coffee, hard boiled eggs) was perfect before a long day out. We stayed in the Victorian room, which was very cute, and the staff always kept the room clean; I think my only complaint was that we only had a tub instead of a shower. But at least it was a big tub! I would certainly stay here again if I visit Montreal in the future!

Yelp
I stayed at this b&b a couple of years ago and it was awful. The maid (named Joanne) stole my running shoes and slippers. The staff were hostile and apathetic and the owner, Laurier Bisson, said he fully stands behind his staff. I noticed on several occasions the maids giving me the stinkeye. I did nothing and yet they targetted me. I ended up taking the owner to court. He paid the amount I claimed for into court probably to avoid a trial. He used to manage Hotel des Spectacles in Montreal. Read the reviews on that one!! Apparently there were a lot of problems there. Sounds like it carried over to Manoir Sherbrooke. Avoid this one. It's not safe!

Yelp
Very nice and comfy little hotel. Super clean, nice breakfast for European guests (croissants, bread, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, tea and coffee) Petit hôtel très sympa et comfortable. Propre et petit dej parfait pour les Européens. (Viennoiseries, pain, yaourts, œufs dures, jus, thé et café).

Yelp
This is a great little hotel with charm and ambiance. The staff are helpful, friendly and overall just wonderful. Everything is clean and well maintained. The breakfast offers a nice selection of breads and pastries, granola, yogurt, fruit and hard boiled eggs. The only reason I'm giving them three stars is that the bed was hard and squeaked every time we'd roll over. The linens on the bed were scratchy and dated and re towels were thin. As for the location, it is Withings walking distance to the Museum of Fine Arts.

Yelp
We stayed here for a winter weekend getaway and it was simply exquisite! Delicious continental breakfast was included with our stay and came with fresh, organic, and varied breads, muffins, cereals, pastries from a local artisanal bakery. The staff were so kind and friendly, especially Waleed and Frederic who gave us suggestions on what to see and do in the city and guidance on bus routes. The home itself has been preserved from the 19th century with Victorain era decor and furnishings (and lovely touches like Christie Agatha books). Another nice touch was the Victorian style cabinet in the hall filled with books and magazines for all. Our room was comfy with a clean bed and bath, free wifi, free satellite TV. The hotel is in a great location in the center of the city, a very short walk away from the metro and buses. We will definitely be returning here!

Yelp
A beautiful hotel! Our room, especially the bathroom, needed some maintenance work that easily could have been done within a couple of hours, otherwise we'd have rated this hotel 5 stars. Our room was along the main hallway downstairs so it was a little loud with people going by, so you may want to request an upstairs room especially since the floors are hardwood and people walking above you can be a bit loud at times too. Service was great! The continental breakfast was great. Within walking distance of the Juste Pour Rire Festival, Chinatown, and many other tourist sites.

Yelp
Was really hesitant at first because my brother told me the building/hotel itself is historic and old. Built in 1863 I think, and I've never stayed anywhere that old because ghosts duh. *roll eyes* lol and I swore to my brother if I stayed here and woke up to find myself in a typical cliche horror movie I would die and come back to haunt him. But on a serious note, staff is super hospitable and friendly, beds and bathrooms are clean. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel by those standards, it's more of a cozy quaint place, with a different feel than what most ppl are used to staying at hotels. Definitely don't mean this in a bad way. I think its nice, and they have a self serve breakfast too which is always appreciated. Close to the metro station, helpful staff, reasonable price. Would stay here again.

Yelp
Excellent hotel! This is a building from mid 1800s, nicely restored. Each of the desk staff have been knowledgeable and attentive. Their information about local attractions has been correct and useful. Our room is immaculately clean and comfortable. The owner is on premises daily, overseeing a well run hotel. The breakfast includes a variety of fresh breads and pastries....overall this is one of the most pleasant and interesting hotels we have stayed at. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Just stayed here for the weekend, and absolutely loved it! The room was very quaint and comfy (and had a really nice bathroom). The man at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. He pretty much gave us an idea of what to do for the night (being that this was a spontaneous trip and we had no plans), and we had a blast. He also helped my friend try and recover her phone that she left in a cab, by helping us with the taxi lost and found website thing (we don't speak any french). I loved the wine dispensing machine in the lobby... that was neat... but eventually we didn't like having to go back and forth so just asked for a bottle of wine :-D. I will absolutely stay here again, since I love Montreal and try to visit frequently.

Yelp
Darling hotel, centrally located near shopping restaurants and nightlife. Each room quaintly and individually decorated. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice variety of pastries, breads, eggs, yogurt, juices and hot drinks. My new favorite spot in Montreal.

Yelp
The outside of the building and the breakfast area is very nice. When we got to our room, i noticed that the furniture seemed kind of random. The room had a futon and a regular bed. My freind got the regular bed and i chose the futon. We noticed right away that there was one blanket for the regular bed and a small one for the futon. Thank god it was summer- if it was winter and i only had that small blanket i would've been shivering the whole night. Before a went to bed i took a shower with the complimentary soaps. There were FOUR lotion bottles and two shower gels. There wasn't even shampoo!! We figured that they mistaken two lotion bottles for some shampoo. The next morning we woke up and noticed that there were red bumps across my shoulder. I've never seen anything like it before. My only allergy is grass pollen, and I'm sure that there wasn't any on the sheets. This was a very disappointing stay. Next time we come to Montreal we are definitely picking a different hotel.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely fabulous. The room was nice, with a great big jacuzzi tub. What really set them apart was how kind the staff were, they really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I would definitely stay here again!
