HOTEL MANOIR STE-GENEVIÈVE - Old Port Quebec

I would not recommend. The room was so small I could barely comfortably move around in it. It was also dusty and dirty, and had a smell. The bathroom is basically a closet and was also dirty. Everything was outdated and uncomfortable. The room was hot and stuffy as well and I woke up feeling as if my allergies had been triggered. For the price, this is just not worth it. I have stayed in other places near here for the same price or cheaper and everything was much better than this, by far! The only nice thing was the view and location, but my view was even completely obscured due to the windows being completely frozen over in the morning. The house itself is quaint and the lobby and stairs have a nice old timey feel. It was easy to check in and we didn't mind dragging our luggage up the stairs. There is no parking nearby and especially for our larger vehicle, we had to unload our things and park the vehicle outside the city walls and walk. The room was very loud and there was a strange sound coming from the pipes as I tried to sleep. From this entire experience, I would not return here. I question some of the good reviews but maybe they got a better and cleaner room than I did.

Excellent location, charming character, pleasant atmosphere. Rooms are small but serviceable, our view was very nice of the Chateau Frontenac and Governor’s park. Perfect location and yet away from the crowds. Repurposed 19th upper class home still evokes the period. Recommended for shorter stay.

Room and service were good. The lady in reception was nice and she suggested lots of information about city tour. Only con is the bathroom was small (based on my room experience).

What a cute and quaint and just lovely hotel in the middle of old Quebec! The rooms are surprisingly spacious. The hostess is very helpful and accommodating. Very comfortable bed. You are walking distance to just about everything and right in the shadow of Frontenac Chateau. I highly recommend.

The owner is the nicest!! The room is extremely clean and neat. Even though it is a bit small. It is located at the very convenient spot where you can see the castle and waterfront. The bed is very comfortable. I forgot my charger at the hotel and the owner was willing to go out of the way to mail it back to me. I am super happy with my stay and will visit again if I come to Quebec city again!!

I loved the age and originality. It feels like going back in time and the ideal location for an authentic experience in old Quebec City. The room is clean and decent size. Basic amenities. Quiet and comfortable. Great price for the location.

Simple clean rooms with a great location. The management is very kind and accommodating. We had a flight delay and were able to keep our luggage at the hotel and stay longer. Definitely good value for your money.

We encountered an issue with the shower, as the water was not heating up as expected. In our moment of confusion, we decided to reach out to the hotel staff for assistance. That's when we had the pleasure of interacting with Mr. Mao. Mr. Mao's response was nothing short of remarkable. He promptly arrived at our room to assess the situation. With a keen eye and extensive knowledge, he identified the root cause of our predicament – another tap that needed to be turned on to activate the hot water. It was our oversight that we hadn't noticed this tap initially, but Mr. Mao's professionalism and commitment to customer service shone brightly. We were immensely grateful for his timely assistance and expertise, which resolved our issue efficiently. Mr. Mao's dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction made a lasting impression on us. His exceptional service was a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for its guests.
