This is an extremely affordable place. The location was fantastic - right between the citadel and Chateau Frontenac. It’s on a quiet street. The rooftop balcony was nice. And the owners were nice. Kind of an odd check in experience. Arrived in the middle of the night, entered a code to get into the lobby, and the room keys were left unattended on a table in the lobby. Owners/staff are not on site 24/7, so if you lock your key in the room, there is a bit of a wait for someone to come from somewhere else to help. It’s hard to know what to expect from the pictures. The smell is weird - stale even with the window open. The bed was extremely old and lumpy. If I could make one improvement to take this from 3 stars to 4 it would be buy new beds. But that being said, it was a safe and relatively comfortable place to stay. Definitely the location is the biggest selling point.

Hotel staff are so kind! The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The location is excellent, you are situated very close to the heart of it all, yet just enough away to be calm and peaceful. Quebec city never disappoints, you must visit!! ⚜️

Great experience, no complaints. Very convenient location to everything we wanted to visit. Quick and easy check in and check out. Older building which is apparent but we liked the style of it.

Super budget place and you get what you pay for! Good for very short time. Location gets the most points. Rooms are ok if you're not seeking comfort but functionality :-). Breakfast not available. However microwave and basic coffee/tea provisions available. Fridge in our room was not working. No access to any support after 6 so we couldn't get any to help with the food we bought. Thankfully we only brought little food to the room. It's functional enough and with enough provision for a super basic stay. Nothing fancy. Not sure to say antique or ancient 😅😅

We were right behind the Chateau Frontenac. Just a block from the boardwalk and the St Lawrence. A great value. Room and bath was a bit tight, but I was expecting that. Very nicely decorated. Looks upscale, the rooms and thr hallways. There's a deck, but it was still a bit chilly go sit out there in mid-April. They staff it from 10am to 6pm and leave the cupboard with supplies unlocked and available.

I would not recommend. The room was so small I could barely comfortably move around in it. It was also dusty and dirty, and had a smell. The bathroom is basically a closet and was also dirty. Everything was outdated and uncomfortable. The room was hot and stuffy as well and I woke up feeling as if my allergies had been triggered. For the price, this is just not worth it. I have stayed in other places near here for the same price or cheaper and everything was much better than this, by far! The only nice thing was the view and location, but my view was even completely obscured due to the windows being completely frozen over in the morning. The house itself is quaint and the lobby and stairs have a nice old timey feel. It was easy to check in and we didn't mind dragging our luggage up the stairs. There is no parking nearby and especially for our larger vehicle, we had to unload our things and park the vehicle outside the city walls and walk. The room was very loud and there was a strange sound coming from the pipes as I tried to sleep. From this entire experience, I would not return here. I question some of the good reviews but maybe they got a better and cleaner room than I did.

Excellent location, charming character, pleasant atmosphere. Rooms are small but serviceable, our view was very nice of the Chateau Frontenac and Governor’s park. Perfect location and yet away from the crowds. Repurposed 19th upper class home still evokes the period. Recommended for shorter stay.

The owner is the nicest!! The room is extremely clean and neat. Even though it is a bit small. It is located at the very convenient spot where you can see the castle and waterfront. The bed is very comfortable. I forgot my charger at the hotel and the owner was willing to go out of the way to mail it back to me. I am super happy with my stay and will visit again if I come to Quebec city again!!

Yelp
Well located and charming stay in Quebec City. The manager "John" was gracious enough to wait for us for a late check-in. At around $200 USD/ night for our summer stay, our spacious room (with three double beds, one of which was in a separate room) was perfect for our family of four. The room itself was average -clean enough, small bathroom, fine bedding, etc- the best part is the location! It is across a small park from the famous Château Frontenac, Terasse Dufferin, and the Fronicular down to lower town.
