Hotel Mar Azul Galapagos

I really liked this hotel on San Cristobal. The room was cleaned daily and had air conditioning. The shower was really good in our room. We did have lots of little insects roaming around our room but we didn't mind, we embraced the nature! It was always peaceful and you always had access to Bananas and bottled water. There was a table tennis table in the dining area which kept us entertained for a few hours. The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were really nice. For breakfast it would be a bowl of fresh fruit to start, then their take on a "full English" - it would be slices of cold meat and scrambled or fried egg. They'd also give you some toast, jam and tea/coffee. The hotel was in a perfect location, it would a 35 minute walk to La Loberia Beach which was great for snorkelling and about a 10 minute walk to the sea front. It was also around a 10 minute drive form the airport. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here.

Stayed one night, very comfortable and clean. nice room with 2 double beds, closets and plenty of towels. Breakfast was above average - plenty of scrambled eggs, potato cake, toast w/ jam, bowl of mixed fruit & bananas, orange juice and delicious coffee in a cute garden room. Chef came over and asked if we’d like more. Very pleasant staff - accommodating. Price was good too.

We were very happy with our two night stay here. We booked via Air BnB and were able to pay with credit card. ||The manager was very nice y amable. ||Air conditioning was a life saver, and the shower was powerful with warm water.||All we could ask for with a nice stay that didn't break the bank.

This hotel is walking distance from the airport and to the port, so it was perfect for our needs, flying in one day and setting off on our cruise the next. It was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. What more could you want?

Stayed here two nights. Room was a little outdated but clean. Unfortunately my room and bathroom also had inside windows to the kitchen so every morning I woke up at 5am when they turned on the light and started to prepare breakfast. Breakfast was good. The hotel has towels to take when you go snorkelling so you can leave the white towels in the room.

I was lucky enough to discover the Mar Azul for my San Cristobal trip. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great. But the staff was the outstanding reason to book at the Mar Azul. I was there for 5 nights, and would definitely stay again.

This was an inexpensive, clean, and well-located hotel in San Cristobal. Easy walk to our dive tour office. The breakfast was ok, too. Air conditioning was great, and we loved the eco-friendly focus at this hotel.

Reasonable price, friendly staffs & self guided tour advice, smart tv allowing you to mirror your phone, beach towels provided daily if you ask for, new air conditioner with supplementary fan to cool your room fast, no odor from shower curtain, no ants/bugs. I loved it here.
