Hotel Mar de Luz

Very nice hotel in perfect location - close to beach, close to city center and totally quiet. Rooms and equipment (expcet for TV, which is the best we saw in whole CR :D ) is a little dated, but still good :) Outdoor area offers multiple pools, even with whirlpool (not heated). Just consider, that this is a family hotel, not a party one... :)

This is by far the best place to stay in Jaco great staff and it literally felt like home !|I did not want to leave ? By far the best bang for your buck! Kitchenette wildlife all around not shy at all, pools bbq area and tropical plants everywhere, also secured parking. |Pura vida ! See you again soon !

Descent hotel. Decent rooms. Good location a block from the Main Street. Parking. . A/C worked well. Nice pool area. . Hot water was scalding hot but you have to run it for 5 minutes before it gets hot. I almost thought I would be taking a cold shower. Glad I shaved first . Halfway through my shave it got hot. Full breakfast included which was very good. They take your order the day before and set a time for you to get there.

Awesome hotel! Close to downtown shops and eateries and about a 6 minute walk to the beach. You can make a BBQ outside the rooms too at any of the BBQ grills and benches.

Very quiet location, staff was nice. Booked the apartment and every room had mold on the ceilings, woke up with a sore throat from in was not a good experience. Told the front desk they did nothing but take a picture. Def better options for the amount of money they charged.

My family and I stayed in one of the apartments and found it clean but outdated. The location is excellent, and the staff were responsive. We would have loved to have had separate pool towels, ice available, more kitchen supplies (such as paper towels), and shower heights that matched our own. Breakfast was adequate, but amazing for the price (6 USD). Service at breakfast was amazing. We would stay here again due to the space and the value.

A gorgeous boutique hotel, close to the main street in Jaco, a few hundred metres from the beach. Very safe and secure, lovely rooms, helpful staff, nice breakfast. The perfect spot in Jaco. And very reasonably priced too. The garden has some mature trees, and so there's wildlife on show too.

Oh my goodness! This hotel is a true gem. We went there for one night as we were visiting a couple of friends in the area. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite . informative and accomidating. We arrived a few hours before check in and our room was already cleaned so he allowed us to check in early. Parking is a tiny walk down the secluded street with a locked gate. The grounds are quaint and have seating for children too around the pool, foosball and sweet lounge area with couches outside. The grounds were well taken care of. Two pools and a jacuzzi in the center court. It is quiet and clean. Breakfast is included--you pick your meal the night before and your seating time. I didn't want to leave! Comfortable and family friendly.
