Cheap, no-frills hotel in perfect location for work, leisure. Check in and out were quick. The room is actually better than what I expected. Its not very spacious but it's clean and decently decorated. The bathroom is not very nice, though. Small and tacky. Breakfast was served in a bright and spacious lounge although it is barely enough to start off your day in the right track. There is no buffet breakfast, just a waiter offering tea/coffee and pastries. The staff are ok, just don't expect them to be cheerful and proactive. This hotel is definitely about great location for really good value: in Buenos Aires you could do much worse for 40 dollars a night!. If you are looking to spend a few nights and being close to the main attractions, this is a no-brainer. Bonus points: Wi-fi internet was stable in both bedroom and lobbby.

Walking distance from many of the tourist attractions as well as public transportation. The room was clean and warm. Shower turned hot instantly. The breakfast was good.

Nice location but not a good hotel. Our room was awful. The floor was very uneven and the furniture is very old. Very poor value for money. We booked for 3 nights but left after the first night.

The rooms were very basic, with almost no decor at all except a single mirror. That said, the bathroom was a bit nicer, the wifi was good, and the location and price were excellent. If you just want a basic place to stay and like the Monserrat neighborhood, I'd say it's worth it.

Ugh, even considering that this hotel is very cheap (especially for being fairly centrally located in Buenos Aires) it was not worth it! The rooms are very old and dirty - we didn't even take our shoes off in the room since the carpet was so dirty we didn't want to walk on it. But the killer was that there was absolutely no hot water when I had to shower in the morning before giving a lecture. Since it was very early in the morning I can't imagine they had run out so i have no idea what the problem was. The front desk staff were indifferent and needless to say I just skipped my shower the next morning. I am glad we were moving on and didn't have to stay there any longer than we did!

It advertises itself as a 2 star facility: I think this is an accurate rating. It is quite inexpensive and extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. All staff we had contact with spoke good to excellent English. Plumbing is much like Argentine homes I've visited. Located on Avenue de Mayo so there is traffic (foot and vehicle) late into the night, noticeable if you have windows on the street side open for the breeze; one must remember that the dinner hour doesn't really start until 10:30 pm in Bs AS.

(+) Excellent location. Clean and spacious rooms. Hot and cold water works well. Beautiful view from the balcony. Restaurant with cheap menu options. It has electricity generator that works during electric shutdowns (-) Wifi never worked. Reception guys told everyone “the technician guy is working on the problem” but that wasn’t true (I spent 5 days without wifi). Unclear way to apply foreign discount tax For improving: breakfast variety, old and noisy A/C equipment

I had to be in Argentina for a very brief period so my husband and I decided to take a short holiday and visit Buenos Aires. A friend of mine told me to look for a hotel on "Avenida de Mayo" street which was quite convenient for its central location. ||Period. ||There is nothing else worthy of highlight to add about this so called hotel.||Firstly, when we were doing the check-in I noticed something different from the pictures posted on their internet site. The reception picture on the site showed a bigger area, neat and appealing. The real one was packed, unappealing and even sort of messy or unclean with cigarette butts. The pictures did not belong to the actual hotel. ||Secondly, the room had nothing to do with the one I had chosen and paid for. Dark, with a very small window overlooking to a hole between buildings that allowed nor ventilation neither light entrance. We also noticed a slightly unpleasant odor resembling sewage. OMG||That night (the only one we spent there) was a nightmare. In the middle of the night the washbasin fell off its pedestal so the water started flowing all over the floor in the toilet, thus increasing the foul smell. Of course we immediately asked to change the room but we received a negative answer because the hotel had no vacancies. I wonder... ||We decided to leave the hotel but we were completely exhausted after the long flight so we waited until the early morning.||At 7 A.M. we had breakfast (nothing to be remembered) and finally left the alleged 3 stars hotel. Not even half a star!
