Good location close to the charming old town, if u need to be away from the strip and the very developed uk themed beach.||Hotel was quite cheap and a sea view with balcony would probably be ok-ish if you got a good price.||My room was absolutely tiny. Triangular shaped and looked onto a wall! They do make a slight effort with the lighting but not enough to make up for the room. Felt like the cleaner cupboard had been turned into a room.||Tiny sachets for shampoo and shower fell with a thumbnail of product in them. Tony towels. ||Rooftop pool is tiny and area is very unappealing with cheap plastic chairs. ||Food (breakfast) is absolutely disgusting. Cheap and everything has a weird sweet taste. Reception is slow and inefficient. Took an age to check in.||Moved hotel after 2 days , and for 20 euro extra a night was 300% better in every aspect. Wished I’d checked trip advisor before booking. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. ||Would only try again if it had a major facelift as the location is good.

We had a fantastic stay here for 2 nights. A lovely hotel with a great Seaview. I would certainly recommend the sea view room. Very clean , comfy beds. Check in was easy. We sat having a glass of wine in the bar area while they checked us in. Very easy and good service. Location was good for us close to shops and old town. Breakfast was adequate to start the day. We will certainly be back to stay in this hotel. Even though the hotel looked at full capacity it was very quiet and was a perfect stay for us.

This is a lovely hotel located just south of the Old Town and right on the seafront with access to the beach and promenade. A bright clean hotel. My bedroom/bathroom was large clean and comfy. There is a great rooftop pool and sunbathing area. Breakfast very good. Staff friendly and helpful.

I was surprised by the negativity of some of the reviews I read. There must have been forty items on the breakfast menu so I'd say there was something for everyone, even my wife who's a vegetarian. My only complaint is that there was an excess of sugar, but even so, there were plenty of delights. I particularly liked the chocolate cake that was very dark and flavoursome. They even had a decent attempt at 'English Breakfast'. There were four kinds of sausages served up the week we were there. Choose the Spanish ones. Our room was spacious but the balcony looked at ductwork. We could have paid extra for sea view but we tend to use hotel rooms for sleeping in. We did venture onto the roof where the view was stunning but the cold breeze soon drove us indoors. I could tell it was an old building (1934) by the remains of the brass stair rods. It appears to be in good repair but thd lifts are past their 'sell by date'. It wasn't a problem for us. Nobody tells you this but there's a huge free car park close by. The pedestrian entrance is in Carrer Uraguay and the vehicle entrance on Avenida Cuba. It's not obvious but yor persistence will be rewarded. I nearly forgot but the wide corridor leading to our room was equipped with a table and four chairs. A nice touch.

Didn’t have any issues really but to be fair we were only here for one night. Room was spotless as was the bathroom, bit hot at night but opened the patio door and it cooled down nicely. Balcony was bizarre to say the least. It was as if the hotel was built and they decided to build more rooms behind it, it was dark and uninviting. Breakfast was very good though and you literally could eat as much as you like. Hotel was perfectly situated and right by the beach, hotel drinks prices are reasonable but avoid the evening buffet which is €15 as it’s totally not worth it and overpriced for what you’re getting. Staff are very good so no complaints there. Upgrade your room to sea front if it can be in your budget. I would come back actually as not really enough for me to complain about. A+

Very nice hotel. The staff are friendly, always smiling. The only thing that was wrong with our rooms was that the balcony didn't lock but other than that it was clean and sleek. We only had breakfast included which was lovely, everything you need was there. One of the lifts wasn't working during our stay but wasn't an issue as we were only on the 1st floor. The location is great, right across from the beach, lots of bars & restaurants along the street, a 5 minute walk into the old town, 10 minutes to the blue square and probably about 20 minutes to get to Benidorm beach bars. Would recommend if you wanted somewhere a little bit quieter but the option to go into the more lively area of Benidorm.

Myself, brother & sister-in-law arrived at the Marconi establishment on the 14th December 2024 and left on the 11th January 2025 a total of 28 nights. We wanted somewhere that was not too expensive and on the beach. We got those two things no problem. What we did not expect but got, was asked to pay a charge of two euros a day for the safe, which when argued and pointed out that on the back of the key card it says ''free safe'' was cancelled. There is not any tea/coffee in rooms so we had to buy our own and then ask reception for a kettle (none provided). All meals were buffet and you could eat as much as you liked, the breakfast was a selection of pastries (at least five trays of them), hash browns (some days) mushrooms in water, baked beans in a runny sauce, fried eggs, some days proper sausages (most days tasteless little bits of tinned sausage), very rarely tomatoes, scrambled egg that looked and tasted like powdered egg, and bacon. There was not any overhead lighting to keep the food warm and to heat it one microwave was there for all the residents, the plates were cold so a HOT breakfast had to be juggled, cereal was a good selection of four along with sultanas very tasty, continental was ham and cheese plus a selection of fruit. The dinners were abysmal, repetitive every couple of days and leftover sausages and scrambled egg were also on the menu, I kid you not. The vast majority of staff were VERY friendly, one or two not so, as if they did not want us there, majority of the residents were Spanish with a few of them year round residents. We also endured for about two and a half weeks the noise of a lift replacement, the hotel (?) does not close for repairs but stays open all year. Great budget hotel if you book directly by phone and can afford to eat out for all of your meals. Try the Dining Room when in Benidorm, it's fantastic.

The hotel it self is without a doubt a perfect position. ||The Receptionist seemed harassed and took our cases into the back room as our rooms were not available to check in until 4pm.||We checked in around 5.30pm and was asked to pay the bill, I questioned the amount as it was only one night and we were staying two, however, they had already taken one nights stay and no receipt to give me...strange.||The room was clean and spacious and we were lucky to have a corner room our balcony was so much larger. Although, I was disappointed to find that the bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous guest, this I took down and gave to reception. ||We were on a Bed and Breakfast rate which was reasonable and comparative to other hotels. ||The hotel does offer a evening buffet, so as we were late returning to the hotel after meeting with friends we thought we could eat in the buffet before retiring to our room. We arrived at the buffet at 9.20pm, the looks we had from the waitress could kill, we were told we could enter but as we were not on the half board rate we would have to pay....thats not a problem, we were let in....after viewing what was left on the buffet we should have walked out, but it was becoming late and we needed to eat, so we sat down and helped our selves to a plate of salad, some dry pieces of pizza and some very dry pasta, thats all there was. To make matters worse, on departure of the restaurant, we were presented with a bill of 30 euros, apparently, its an "all you can eat" buffet at 15 euros a head. When I questioned this, I did say "did you see what we ate"? The restaurant manager just said its 30 euros and I only work here!||Had she told us that the restaurant closes at 10pm and that it is an "all you can eat" buffet.....definitely after seeing what there was.....we would have left......lesson learnt. Although I think it marred our stay at the Marconi.||The hotel is good, however, the staff in the restaurant (evening) were rude and you could tell they wanted to go home. The rest of the staff were pleasant and the breakfast staff unbelievably helpful.
