We just ate here and the food was epic. We live in viana and had heard from many people about their amazing food. They were right. Look forward to returning soon!

Beautiful charm hotel, right in the heart of the city, and in the vicinity of all the main attractions. Rooms are super cozy and comfortable, and the staff is amazing, going the extra mile to make you feel at home! Love it!

We stumbled across this place, we were looking for somewhere to eat at lunch. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day. The menu is very high quality (soup, main, dessert), carefully prepared, it changes every day, it comes with a drink (we chose wine, which we found above average), and all this for only 13 euros. It is a sophisticated restaurant that has a great lunch deal. We have not stayed at the hotel

The service was excellent, very kind and informative, they helped me out last minute to get a taxi fast. The two ladies at the reception are wonderful hosts. The room was really great value; location couldnt be better. Breakfast was awesome with all sorts of fresh fruit.

Family run with free breakfast. Everything was elegant and really well done. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Near the seaside. Our room was on the top floor with a large balcony area and fabulous view over the harbour, comfortable bed, nespresso type coffee maker in room. There is restaurant on the property with a comprehensive menu. Strong wi-fi but weak TV signal. Highly recommend.

This is more like a B&B or hostel than a hotel and for sure not a 4 star hotel. Hotel staff is kind and friendly. The location is good for me, only 15 min walk to shipyard. Ships agent booked this hotel, dinner included so thats also nice.The hotel is on a busy road. Rooms have thin wall’s I can hear other people speaking. Breakfast in this hotel is goooood, I can have bacon and eggs as I please. If it was not for the super good restaurant, I would have changed hotels. PS, restaurant has different ouwer, with good English-speaking floor manager, good help at reception from time to time. I have stayed here for 3 weeks.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. Joao, who is at the reception desk, is such a caring and thoughtful young man. He went above and beyond in customer service. I couldn’t find a bath tub plug in our room so I asked him if he had one. The bathrooms had been renovated recently so he thought maybe it had been misplaced. He couldn’t find one so he ran out to a hardware store to buy one! He was very helpful with directions and even looked up all the times and prices for the train for us. Also, Christina was at reception and was more than helpful. We checked out and it was raining so she wanted us to take two umbrellas with us as we walked to the shopping centre. She said just leave them with the girl at the Pharmacy store and she would pick them up later. Not too many people would do that. I could list many more examples of how kind and helpful they were.||Also all the wait staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and eager to communicate even thogh they were shy speaking broken English. ||We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would visit Viana do Costelo which is a gorgeous small city on the Portuguese coast.

Hotel Margarida da Praça is in a fantastic location across from the river and in the city center where there are many restaurants, small Portuguese stores, and cultural attractions. Everything to see and do is within walking distance. This boutique hotel is very Covid-19 safe and very clean. Talking with the staff is like talking with family; they are very friendly, recommend activities, places to dine and will make restaurant reservations for you. Don’t worry about speaking English, Spanish, or French. And breakfast, it’s typical European / continental with fresh fruit, yogurt, café, orange juice, cereal...
