Hotel María de la Luz

This hotel is awful. It is more like a basic hostel/motel than a hotel. The room was dirty, I checked under the bed before I left to find a bra, cup and bottle of lotion along with loads of dirt (who knows howong they had sat there, clearly it had been cleaned well!)|The bathroom had no soap to wash your hands and the towels were a state. The room is also very small, with a tiny gap by the bed to squuze through to get to the garden. It also seemed to attract loads of 18 year olds that ran around the corridors screaming all night. The hotel is open plan, overlooking the pool and courtyard, this made it very noisy constantly and lots of the rooms have windows that face the pool, so you can hear every movement of people walking past and talking.|Avoid at all costs, it is definitely not worth it!||The only good thing is the location right in the main square.

Everyone on here complaining about the state of the rooms are bunch of drama queens. They were fine.. and for the price, what were they expecting? Yes the rooms were a little outdated, but if you want luxury, then go pay more somewhere else. The location is 11/10 and the front desk was always polite and helpful. We never ate at the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 and not a 5 is the AC had a funny vibration to it which I had to smack out of it a couple of times otherwise I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel for the price I had 2 rooms for our 3 night stay My daughter had to switch rooms 2x before she got a room with an ac that worked . Hotel rooms for clean & had clean towels with room service everyday . I would have liked for them to speak a little more English . Would Definetly stay again

We didn’t stay overnight, but we really enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere.

Room smells musty. My husband was getting allergies. Furniture is outdated. Curtain is broken. Elevator and refrigerator out of service. Just saw a cockroach walking out of the closet. Not even worth it for the money. I’m dumbfounded as to why this hotel has good reviews.

Nice hotel with a charming interior hall with Swimming pool. The parking of the hotel makes the difference as parking in the neibourhood is forbidden. The hotel is in front of park the is full of exhotic birds which make it impossible to sleep in the night.

While walking around the center of Valladolid, I was interested in this hotel, so I decided to stay there for my last night in Valladolid. The hotel is located in the very center of the city and everything you need is nearby. Even the bus station to Cancun is close. In general, it is ok. I booked a room with a balcony to the city's central square and a king bed. To my surprise, the receptionist gave me a room in the courtyard. I asked to check the data and as a result, I got the correct number. Overall, the room is quite old and simple, but the price is ok. Nice view from the balcony, although I thought the bars were a little funny, which makes you feel like a beast in a cage.

It is ok. We had a double room and we had towels for one only. We didn't have cold water and we couldn't use the shower. Do not recommend

This place was ok. Did need a little more care. We called last min and were given two rooms and one was noticably cleaner and equiped with all the usual items. I guess it was not planned on being issued out? Lobby and reasturant looked pretty nice.I love this town so I can over look issues. Guy at front desk was helpful and gave us what we needed.

I had an absolutely amazing time in Valladolid. This restaurant definitely contributed to my stay! We came for the breakfast buffet, delicious. Its also in a very good location, with many of shops and beautiful things to look at.

Went to the restaurant and had a very good dinner. Of course the nachos were perfect as well as the pina coladas. Shrimp cocktail and lime soup were really good too. Nice employees and surrounding in a colonial type building with swimming pool in the center. I recommend. Only ate, didn't sleep...
