We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It is great location in the heart of Ubeda. The building is historic, with a beautiful central courtyard. The receptionists were friendly and efficient. The rooms were very spacious with fairly high ceilings, we had two large double beds and the bathroom was equally large. We were able to park our car at the front to unload and check in, and then find the free street parking a couple of minutes away.|Some things could be improved, the plumbing worked but was a bit tired. On the first night (a Friday) there was some noise from the street, but it wasn’t too bad, although it might have troubled a light sleeper. We had no problems with our booking but our friends were involved in a mix up that saw them charged twice, although they were promptly reimbursed, albeit in four separate payments all made at the same time.|We would stay here again, and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably price centrally located place to stay

The hotel is right in the middle of the historic centre of Úbeda. The hotel building itself is quite interesting and the reception hall looks nice as well. The room was very spacious and tidy with all the basic amenities you would expect. Unfortunately the building across a small road from my room, was going a major renovation so it was quite noisey during the day. It didn't really affect me as I spent most of my time outside. The receptionist was friendly and spoke decent English too.

Structure in an ancient building in the beautiful historical center of Ubeda.|To get there you have to walk 200 m uphill, dragging your luggage with difficulty on the uneven road pavement, as the structure is located in the pedestrian area not accessible to cars.|Beautiful view for those lucky enough to have the room overlooking the Town Hall Square. Except when, you are woken up at 5 in the morning from the garbage collection truck.|The rooms are still closed with the classic lock key. The bathrooms should be renovated and made more comfortable. Courtesy sets and towels are kept to a minimum.|Fundamental thing: the beds, which are very comfortable.|I was surprised by the lack of respect for energy savings, by systematically finding the light of the lamp on, after the cleaning and rearrangement of the room, even though I had always left it off.|Poor quality breakfast, where most of the food is packaged, and proposed the next morning, when left.|The staff is very kind and professional, but consists of a few units that alternate between one role and another within the structure.|If you return after 11.00 pm, remember to bring the access codes to be typed at the entrance.|If you want to save a few euros, pay in cash, otherwise you will have a surcharge of about 5% if you pay by credit card.|As far as price is concerned, based on my experience in other hotels of the same category in Spain, I think it's high, if we consider this is a 3-star hotel, and I stayed in the off season.||

We spent three nights here in late June, when temperatures rose to over 44 degrees celsius during the day. The hotel is a slightly faded, interesting building, but is sadly in need of upgrading. The aircon was completely inadequate and very very noisy - on the third night we found it best to open the window at 3 am - and the air outside was cooler than the room, when the air con had been working non stop for two days and nights. Beds were comfortable enough. Bathroom OK, but again, tired. Breakfast did not look interesting - so we ate that in a cafe a few doors away who serve excellent coffee and tostado. The hotel overlooks a charming square, and one of the better little places to eat is here - things get going at around 9 pm, and people were still arriving to eat at half eleven. The food here was good. We noticed that the hotel was use for dinners served on the square - all external group bookings, and the food looked good. Really odd that no one seemed to be eating who was staying at the hotel - may be wrong there but there was no attempt to interest us in the menu or invite us to try the food. Parking was left up to us - a car piled high with luggage had to be left a few streets away in public parking - no one offered to take it for us - and my husband, who was tired out after a five hour drive got lost in the maze of one way streets trying to find a place. There is a 'pool' - but it is tiny, a plunge pool. It was too hot to use it while we were there, and the sunbathing terrace is overlooked by other houses. It was all a bit lacking in charm, helpfulness, and up-to-dateness. As if they weren't interested. We have no huge issues with this place, and we enjoyed Ubeda, but if we were to return, would try another hotel.

A gem of a place, positioned in the heart of the historic part of the town ubeda. Staff friendly and helpful. You want to bring your dog? No problem. Hotel beautiful full of history. Its great value. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is it only serves continental breakfast, I preferred a full English breakfast.

This 3* hotel is located in a charming 16th century mansion overlooking the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in the heart of historical Ubeda. We had a room with delightful views overlooking the square and, with very little passing traffic, our stay was very peaceful. The room and bathroom were both a reasonable size and facilities included a small TV and minibar and the mid-week price was only €43 per night (obtained through a comparison site), which was excellent value. Hotel facilities included a restaurant and a small splash pool for the warmer months. Our only criticism was that the furniture was a little tired and the roomsafe did not work. ||Those arriving by car should note that a free park is located less than 10 minutes walk away near the Mirador at Cuesta de Sta. Lucia. Given that dining is late in Spain, visitors should also note that the hotel's main doors are closed at 11pm and access is then by means of a code provided by Reception on arrival, so make sure that you don't complete check-in without obtaining it!||In summary, this is a perfectly located and characterful historical hotel providing good value accommodation.||

We decided to stay here rather than the over priced Parador and decided we had made a great choice. The hotel was comfortable, clean and traditional. It had a lovely atrium and was classically laid out. The location was perfectly central in the old town.|It was a little noisy at night with the street cleaners washing down the plaza outside.|Car parking was not the issue that I thought it might be, I left the car at a free car park 5 minutes walk away after dropping off our luggage.|

I stayed here for 2 nights during a trip across the region and the hotel was a good base to explore Ubeda. Located in a square just off the main square of the old town, this boutique, privately run hotel is in an old building overlooking the town hall. Its also at the end of the main street of the old town and therefore perfectly located for a number of excellent tapas restaurants.||||My room was clean and comfortable, with a stunning view of the square and staff on reception were friendly. WiFi is apparently only located in the lobby, but as my room was directly above reception, I had a good signal.||||There was a problem on my second night when someone tried to enter my room in the early hours. The door was safely locked and well secured so there was no way to gain entry and it was (I believe) another guest, who mistook my floor for theirs when returning somewhat worse for wear. Our limited ability to converse in each others language meant it was impossible for me to convey this incident to the lady on the front desk that morning and I left feeling this issue was unresolved.||||Overall however the hotel is quaint and attractive and perfectly located - although as other reviewers have suggested, better signage would help as I got horribly lost on my walk from the bus station!
