Hotel María Del Mar Lloret Costa Brava

I don’t understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars. Starting with the staff, they are friendly, thats why i give it 2 stars not 1. Rooms are small, and this is ok, but walls were so thin that i kept hearing the guy from next room coughing all night and couldn't sleep. If not the tenant from next room, you’ll hear people walking in the lobby, in summary, rooms, walls and lobbies should be more sound insulated. You know that you can install insulation to prevent sound from traveling that much, you are a 4 stars hotel right? Beds were so bad, toilette were not clean and there was some dirt on the shower. Good thing it was only 1 night at this hotel. Not recommended

Stayed one night at this hotel. Kept awake with banging doors and a wake up call at 2.35 am. My complaint wasn’t logged, the response being a shrug of the shoulders. Breakfast was chaotic and needs to be logically laid out. E.g. tea bags at one end, hot water at the other and milk half way between!

The Hotel has a nice Location, very close to the clubs and the beach. The Service is good, the staff were very nice. Some of them even speak very good german. I would definitely recommend getting a safe (it's relatively expensive at the front desk) or taking something with you to put your valuables in. The breakfast was not very good but for both the lunch and the dinner good options were available. I can recommend the half potatoes. But if you are vegan you won't really find anything to eat. The rooms are decent, some even have working ACs. Only the pillows are very uncomfortable and the walls are very thin. You pay quite high deposits for everything. The atmosphere is nice, it's easy to meet new people as you can hear everything and a lot of the rooms can be seen from the balcony. But all in all we had a nice experience and a fun time.

Reception was quite nice and the hotel staff were very kind and assisted with any problems that we faced. I came here for a school trip and our only intentions for the hotel were for sleeping and food, so I didn't mind if it wasn't the greatest. The good was very good and catered for any liking, the menu varied and overall enjoyable, there were a couple dodgy foods that probably were either not fully cooked or out of date but noone is sick yet so I don't think it wasn't the worst. The room was very much a tight area as it seems to have three bed squeezed into a room only designed for at most two, it really wasn't too much of a bother though since the only problem came to put our luggage somewhere efficient. I still enjoyed the room and it had everything I needed for my trip and the room service was nice, bathroom was a little annoying with no lock and water ending up all on the floor after a shower, fortunately it would dry up so I didn't mind it too much.

The hotel reception was nice and clean but when you get to the room it’s a bit disappointing they were quite small and we’re not clean the balcony was not safe either with the rail hanging off a fair amount. The food was okay the breakfasts were good the lunches were okay and the dinners were not great as the chicken hadn’t been cooked properly one night. but overall the food was decent and the tables were clean and well set there seemed to be a lot of schools so if you are wanting somewhere quieter go elsewhere the walls are also paper thin you can hear everything through them. The hotel is alright but you can’t beat the price. The location is very central and has many shops but can be loud at night. The fruit was atrocious though with mouldy oranges and flys on them. In my opinion it’s alright but good priced make sure you take photos of any damages or the staff will try and charge you for it. The hotel staff were ok but the restaurant staff were very cheery and nice and pleasant.

If you are going with kids, absolutely not recommended. Staff was very friendly, pool was nice, however it is mentioned that they have kids activities at the hotel,.but only from 10-12, EXCEPT SUNDAYS (Which is not mentioned anywhere...) Bedroom is comfortable, however, there is a light in the balcony that cannot be turned off, it turns off automatically at around midnight, u til then, bedroom is as clear as day since the blackout curtains don't close properly. Also, loud music that stops at around midnight or so, so be prepared to be awake until this time. Had a terrible time with 2 little kids

At first i was little disapointed... but that lasted one day! Every thing about hotel was eather great or very good!|Location is at epicenter of a place, and its wery loud but i didnt have problem with that, my kids 6years and 9years didnt even notice... Room are very VERY CLEAN, Food Was great!!! And staff perfect... I was at 4star hotels in platja del plama and alcudia Mallorca and this one is Best.|Big Thanks to Maria del Mar staff!!!
