Hotel Maria Mixteca

Excellent quality bedding/towels/pillows. All very clean. Excellent air conditioning and fan - so can be very comfortable. Be aware it's open air to the shared restaurant space. So clinking of cups and saucers start at 7:30am in case you planned on sleeping in (bring ear plugs) Some compressor noise also could interrupt your sleep. Excellent location and properly is spotless clean. Highly recommend- but bring some earplugs for the possible need.

The people working here are fantastic. They will help you with anything you need. Always friendly and smiling. The ac worked well enough to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. The rooms are clean and bug free. The beds are firm but comfortable with clean sheets. They have flat screen tv with full cable and the wifi works well. Our room was on the second floor facing the street with a small balcony. We stayed over the weekend and the street and restaurant were very noisy. I was able to sleep without to much trouble but i was awakened a couple of times by loud motorcycles outside or loud singing in the restaurant. There was also hundreds of little crow like birds roosting right outside the window at night but the sound was not totally unpleasant. The best part is the price which can only be described as dirt cheap. The hotel is situated across the street from a huge market selling all kinds of tourists souvineers and half a block down is the park surrounded by many shops and reasonably priced restaurants that are very good.

Good spacy rooms with AC and fan, big shower, comfortable bed. Daily housekeeping with 2 water bottles. Basic with a little upgrades. A kettle with coffee in the room could be great.

Even though it’s a fake town (like Cancun or Ixtapa), we really dig the slow, chill pace to everything in Crucecita (Huatulco) – nothing is open before 8am, taxis all work at fixed rates, and nobody's in any kind of rush to get anywhere.|It's particularly pleasant in the evenings, when the trinket-stalls and churro stands roll out in the zocalo, as well as usually a band or two and some costumed dancers.|Maria Mixteca is steps away from everything – although the cinema moved out of the mall next door and relocated next to the Chedraui down Chahue blvd.|The rooms are spacious and clean, the shower is large with great water pressure and hot water, and the rooms facing the street have little balconies too (same price). I really like the Spanish-feeling internal courtyard, and for the price, you can’t go wrong.|The one thing that I’ll never understand is the reliance on booking services like booking.com – I called Hotel Maria Mixteca directly ready to book a room, and they suggested I go online instead, to a service that takes a huge chunk of their income. The world is full of mysteries.

We had a great experience! Each day the room was fully cleaned by their cleaning service, and beds were given new sheets. The service was great if we had any issues. The location is unmatched, with less than a minute's walk to any restaurant or bar. Overall, I would come here anytime if you want an authentic Huatulco experience!!

Affordable, clean, and friendly service in the heart of town. If you’re only staying for one or two nights, I recommend if you’re not wanting to spend time at the beach. Close to all the shops and restaurants in town and not noisy when you go to bed.

Truly this place was fantastic. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff was friendly and hospitable, and the food in the downstairs restaurant was well made and tasty. When I come back to visit, I will without a doubt choose this hotel.

My group and I had such a lovely stay at Hotel Maria Mixteca! The rooms were very clean, had large bathrooms, proper air conditioning, and superb room service every day. The hotel is in a prime location and everyone working at the hotel was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Would love to stay here again.
