This place was just the perfect vacation spot. It is so close to great restaurants and sites of interest. My husband and I enjoyed walking around and knowing our hotel was't too far away from all that we wanted to see. The staff are super kind and helpful, the room was cleaned perfectly every day while we were out and about. I would love to stay here again should I travel to Quebec City.

Loved this hotel, stayed for two nights . We arrived earlier and were able to check in at noon. Check in was fast and efficient , very nice staff . ||We were in the lower level room - room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Bedding was good quality . Shower was clean and toiletries provided. ||Nespresso machine with two coffee pods and these were replaced the next day. Room was cleaned on our second day. ||The location is perfect , right in the middle of everything . Note - if you have mobility issues you will struggle - steep steps to get in to the building and if you are on the lower level steel stairs. ||We will definitely stay again .

I had such an amazing stay! Staff was friendly and location is PERFECT. I had the room with bathroom in the hall and the room was the perfect size, the bathroom was private but in the hall a couple feet from the room. There was an ac unit in room that kept it at the perfect temperature, the view was stunning!!!

Wife and I visited old quebec city for the first time. Beautiful city and happy friendly people. Not knowing the area before we booked i randomly selected here and OMG I'm so glad we did. The location couldn't have been any better. Parking garage was adjacent to the front door which was very convenient. Enter bottom of hill (1 floor) and drive up to the 3 and park there the exit door is a few meters away from hotel door. Staff was friendly and room was so cozy and romantic. Plan on staying there again on our summer visit.

Fantastic, charming and historic. It became a hotel in 1876, however, it was built in the 1600's. Exactly what we were looking for. Very clean and cozy. Nice businesses close by within walking distance, especially since it was -21°! The train station is nearby as well. Very Old Town Quebec. Also very close to Chateau Frontenac where you can get a cocktail "1943", smoked tableside by your waiter. The staff is helpful and supplies you with handknitted booties after requesting you remove your footware.

Spent one night following a cruise and loved the location. Ten minute walk to the Chateau and easy access to numerous restaurants. To go to the lower town you can walk down the hill and return on the $5 funicular. The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff to assist with luggage and directions. The room was immaculate and well maintained. One thing to be aware of is this is an older building with steps on the entry and to rooms on upper levels. If you enjoy the small hotels in Europe you will enjoy this one.

We stayed here with our two kids (7 and 10 years old) for three nights and everything was perfect. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and professional. The room was lovely, and though we were on the first floor on a busy street, it was dead silent indoors. We closed the curtains at night and slept in every morning without hearing any traffic. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the old city near restaurants, tourist sites and shopping, with a beautiful park in front of the hotel that had the added bonus of a fountain/water park that our kids enjoyed in the 90 degree heat! We would absolutely stay here again, and recommend this hotel to anyone considering it!

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit Quebec City and were all very happy with the choice. The hotel is in a historic building, so there is no parking on site, no elevators inside, it requires good walking mobility (no wheelchair or crutch access IMO, steep entry stairs to access anything), and key access after hours if you wander out in the evening. If you do drive here please use a GPS to handle the one-way streets and review the street grid in Google maps before entering the old city - it was not built for cars! They have fitted heat and A/C to the rooms but it seems that you only get the one that is enabled for the building. Not a big deal but it was irritating. There was a refrigerator that guests can use downstairs to store chilled drinks or foods, and a small rooftop terrace to enjoy on nice days. The staff were very helpful, especially about places to eat, and there are many coffee shops and eateries in walking distance. The location is on the main square of town hall which handily provides an underground parking deck less than ½ block away from the hotel. We found the location to be fantastic and coupled with the staff and older style accommodations greatly enjoyed our stay here. I definitely recommend it if you want to enjoy the old city!!!

What a gem! This bed is comfortable and staff are so pleasant. It is in an excellent location. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Very reasonably priced as well.

Yelp
The perfect spot to stay in during out trip to Quebec City. The hotel itself is captivating. The rooms were spacious, clean, and cozy. We were very pleased with staying at Hôtel Marie Rollet and would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Yelp
Location, location, location! We loved our four nights at Hotel Marie-Rollet! We had no problems with check-in or check-out. We enjoyed the free daily coffee and kind staff. Our room, #3 was a great suite! Down a handful of steps from the main level, tucked behind reception, we had a living space with sleeper sofa in addition to king-sized bed, bistro table dining, mini fridge, and microwave. Large TV too! Our large bathroom was newly updated and modern. The room was cleaned daily and we had plenty of towels and whatever we needed. It felt like we were staying in someone's in-law suite vs. a tight, cramped historic hotel room that some other locations offered. The shower grout could use a scrub/bleach pen, but we have zero complaints!!! Wifi worked fine for us, we event streamed Netflix on our iPads. The reception desk is open 8am-10pm; outside those hours, you use your house key to get in, which is attached to your room key. We loved staying in the heart of the city, a 5-minute walk to Chateau du Frontenac and everything else. We walked to Paillard for pastries in the morning, walked to La Citadelle for a tour, and had tons of restaurant options nearby. We received 20% off breakfast coupons for dining inside Chez Jules nearby, which we used once. We would stay in our room again! At the time I booked, it was a great room for a better price than the larger, traditional hotels nearby.

Yelp
Loved it. It's located in the perfect spot by the water and in the middle of the historic district. Walking distance to everything. Charming old building with new, funky renovated flats. Highly recommend. Parking is assigned in a lot across the street. Shouldn't have a problem getting your stuff there from the lot. However I will say I don't think it's stroller or handicap accessible at all.

Yelp
Pros: The hotel has a very rustic, European feel and is in a good location, the veranda is a nice touch. Cons: The free wifi did not work at all in my room. The network name did not even appear when I searched for it. Despite letting the front desk know and trying to get in touch several times, no staff would offer any answers. Speaking to the owner (or who I assume was the owner or manager) at checkout, we were scolded and told that we should have let her know, even though we had already informed reception. When we requested a discount since we received no wifi that was promised, we were immediately dismissed. She seemed to imply we were lying about the situation, even though another staff member had said there were wifi issues. Very rude and unhelpful. Overall this hotel has dodgy or no wifi, no food, no fridges in rooms (there's one in the basement for all visitors), no hair dryers, squished rooms, a tiny bathtub, and a snide owner. I would never recommend this incredibly overpriced hotel. There are many better ones in the old town.
