Hotel Marine Plaza

Needs attention. The hotel is extremely well located. However, we were given smoking room and room smelt of smoke. The food in the terrace restaurant was pretty OK type nothing great. I would put it below average. They seem to experimenting with water paper packets like tetra packs. That was worst. The water had odour of paper and tasted stale. We did not like it at all.

A restaurant with lovely ambience and great food on Marine Drive, Mumbai. The location is bang on Marine Drive and makes for an ideal place to unwind after having a stroll on the picturesque promenade. We visited this place for dinner and were delighted with the overall dining experience. We chose the Pan Asian section and had soups, grilled fish, Mongolian chicken, egg fried rice and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Each item has its distinctive flavour and unique taste and we truly enjoyed the food. We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely ambience and the live music being sung by an a very good singer who was playing some very delightful romantic songs. All in all we had a memorable experience at this place. Clean wash rooms and parking facility added to the convenirnce

Prime location and very accessible. This property is smaller compared to the other premium hotels nearby but the rooms are amazing. Took an executive and a sea facing room here. The view of Marine drive bay was very good from the sea facing room. Both rooms were furnished well. We were provided complimentary snacks in the evening. The breakfast buffet had a good spread and the restaurant had a nice view of Marine drive. The roof top has a pool and a restaurant as well. Overall, had a good experience. The only weird thing I noticed was the inconsistent security check at the entrance. Some guests were allowed in without checks whereas some were checked everytime they entered.

Whatta amazing experience at this restaurant with beautiful view , The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of flavors that made every bite enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a couples . Menu has so many tempting options to eat and the food was flavourful and the presentation was stunning definitely a place to explore and I'll be returning to! 🍽️✨"

The rooms are NOT 5 star! be warned. Dirty, mouldy smell in one of the rooms, dirty shower curtains in all the rooms. dirty bathrooms. The bathrooms are typical of 2 star hotels. OLD furnishings in all the rooms. I complained of the dampness smell in one of my rooms, nothing was done about it. Water would just stop flowing while in shower in all 3 rooms i had booked. I stayed there 3 nights in India. However, Reception staff, security staff at entrance all 5 star service. Breakfast was the best from all hotels i had stayed. extremely tasty. The other 18 nights i stayed at various other 5 star hotels and they were indeed 5 star from top to bottom, at far cheaper rates. Would i stay there again? NEVER!! the management need to visit Say Surat Marriot hotel and see what a 5 star room meant to look like (and what 5 star bathrooms meant to look like). Will they actually do it? probably not. I checked the booking dot com reviews and clients are complaining about these same issues for years and they respond with the same typical response as you would expect from a management team that are only interested in money. These rooms and bathrooms are there to stay. pls do not book here. they almost 30% higher in cost in comparison to hotels that have far better facilities that actually match their star rating.

No privacy in the room, Hotel Manager Shahida walked straight into the room with guards without any knowledge. Zero hospitality and understanding within the staff of the hotel and guests are treated disrespectfully.

Neat and clean rooms, helpful and attentive staff and tasty plus hygienic food... Couldn't see anything to complain about. The Bayview restaurant serves delicious food with stunning views of the sea. We loved almost everything that we could taste from the breakfast Buffett. The pricing is on a higher side but I doubt one would find anything of this quality at a lower price at this location. Overall, a great place if you are willing to pay extra for excellent food and comfort being served at an amazing location. One possible con at this moment - the area around the swimming pool (located on the terrace) is under renovation (Oct 2024), although it still is a great experience to visit the terrace especially around the evening.

Marine Plaza is located in one of the prime locations, right on marine drive. The view from the hotel is amazing. Staffs are courteous and helpful. They do have parking space but I think it is limited. I saw my car parked out on the road in front of the hotel when I came back from walk! The bathroom had a fibre(or plastic) bathtub. It goes up and down when you stand on it. That was kind of not expected. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. Overall, I felt the only reason to choose Marine drive is its location and view.
