Hotel Mariposas

When we arrived, we were exhausted having just completed a very intense few days of work. Hotel Mariposas, felt a bit like heaven. Beautiful surroundings, attentive hotel reception staff, and a welcome drink on the terrace overlooking the pool. We had a fabulous time, and I aim to return. Such a relaxing and positive atmosphere. Also perfectly located 10 mins walk from the most stunning beach and a 15 minute walk into town. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

The hotel is run with much of love, offers a good breakfast and has a gardener who daily takes care of the beautiful garden and the pool which is always clean. In addition to the pool the beautiful sea is only 7 minutes away. The staff is also always friendly. I would particularly like to emphasize Ivan who gave us helpful tips and was attentive all the time. We can't wait to come back! Thank you for everything.

We have just returned from a week at Hotel Mariposas – we had such a relaxing stay – the hotel gardens and pool area are exceptionally lovely – full of flowers and beautifully maintained. |We had a superior double room, which had its own terrace looking out over the gardens and pool – the room was immaculate, comfortable and stylish. |We ate lunch most days at the hotel – delicious highly recommended. Breakfast is included and had a good buffet selection to choose from. There is a bar open until about 11pm for drinks but no dinner served. Not a problem as Villasimius about 15 mins walk away has lots of restaurants. |Staff were so lovely, helpful and professional without exception – overall the hotel is well run with a focus on a calm relaxing environment. |The hotel is a 5 mins walk from Simius beach, which is a marine protection area so great for snorkelling with its crystal-clear waters and white sand – can book daily sunbeds + umbrella through the hotel for a reasonable price. |We flew into Cagliari and then got a taxi to the hotel – about 60 min drive. We didn’t need a car as happy to spend time relaxing at the hotel and Simius beach. |It’s our second stay at Hotel Mariposas and hope to return.

This place is just fabulous, the best hotel we had in our two weeks travelling around Sardinia.||Lovely pool and gardens, all beautifully kept.||Beautiful two bedroom suite with enough space for four people, overlooking the pool and gardens.||Friendly and efficient staff, the waiting staff at breakfast and lunch in particular were simply AMAZING, they know how to look after people well.||Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices.||Lunch in the pool restaurant was lovely with good choices at reasonable prices (again served by their amazing staff).||Close walk to gorgeous Simius beach. Evening walk to Villasimius for dinner and strolls, plenty of restaurants, shops, bars and stalls, not to forget the gelatos too! Our favourite restaurant was Sa Tankita, see my review in them.||We had a great holiday here and will definitely return.

What a joy. Could not have been happier to be here for our stay in Sardinia. Beautiful grounds and planting, helpful staff, great position moments from the beach and town, breakfast (as is the Italian way) lovely. I hope to come back to this (i think still family owned) gem.

The heading says it all - Excellent. A small, modest hotel, very well located - 10 mins from beach & 10 / 15 mins from town. Overall :-|Ambiance - excellent|Facilities (pool etc) - excellent|Food - excellent|Staff (at every level) :- excellent|Whilst we have (we’re now 8 days into a 10 day stay) an aircon problem - the staff could not have been nicer / more accommodating. From offers to change rooms to provision of portable aircon unit / fans. A faultless service throughout.

We stayed as a family with our elderly parents, The staff at reception on arrival were lovely and efficient and very helpful, Andrea was fantastic.|Complimentary drinks on arrival were very much welcomed after a 4 hour drive from Alghero. Thank you. |The grounds are beautiful, the swimming pool is spectacular, so clean.|The most peaceful oasis of calm in stunning grounds with the best staff and beautiful and clean bungalows.|Would highly recommend.|Definately 5 star due to the wonderful staff, nothing is too much trouble.|Well done team Hotel Mariposas.

I stayed at Hotel Mariposas for 12 nights. I was initially only booked in for 7 nights but it was just so gorgeous that I extended my stay! |The hotel is beautiful, and the hotel team are amazing - so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I stayed in a poolside room, which was super comfortable, modern, incredibly clean with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. The pool area is fantastic, with an array of beautifully tended flowers. |I was travelling on my own, and everywhere felt safe to walk around. The hotel is just a few mins walk from the town and from Simius beach. |Huge thanks to Andrea, Frederico and all the fabulous team at the hotel for a magical vacation. |I will certainly be back
