Like so many things in life, there are pros and cons about Hotel Marisa. The good points we experienced include:||1. Location. It is directly in front of the mosque-cathedral of Cordoba. You can't get any closer to this incredible house of worship.|2. Room size. This was definitely the largest room we had in Spain. |3. Bidet in the bathroom.|4. Clean linens on bed and in bathroom.|5. Reasonably close to paid parking.|6. Close to restaurants and shopping.|7. Reception lady was super friendly and welcoming.||The things that need improving are:|1. Noise. Our room faced the mosque-cathedral, so we were wakened through the night by people talking in the street. Even with the window closed.|2. No evidence of air conditioning was seen. We didn't need it in February, but if you visit in warmer months, you will need to keep your window open. See item #1 about that.|3. Breakfast was the worst we ate on the entire trip. Meager selection, small serving sizes, so-so quality food, only 1 cup of coffee included in price.....and you PAY for this.|4. Bathroom needs an update. Toilet did not flush adequately, so it was unpleasant. Shower took a long time for hot water and needs updating.|5. Reception man was rude and unhelpful.||We spent 9 days in Spain and Portugal, and this hotel was the one we like the least. If we return to Cordoba, we would pay more to stay somewhere else.
