Great hotel for those who value comfort and quality service. The breakfasts are impressive – always fresh, with a wide selection of delicious options. And the sea view from the window is absolutely stunning, especially in the morning. Even during a work trip, moments like these add a touch of relaxation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient place with a fantastic location.

Had a great stay at the hotel. Great location, comfortable rooms with views of the garden and ocean, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff that treated me as a long-time guest... I felt welcome in a way experienced in the very best hotels. For parking, I'd recommend downloading the app which lets you pay for a spot (right in front of the hotel) for a modest fee. The only amenity that I missed was the gym, but this is not surprising in old-fashioned hotels.

The setting is stunning, the rooms are lovely (beds so comfy!), the balcony overlooking the garden & sea is amazing. |Food in the restaurant is better that many of the local restaurants - well worth trying - especially if you can enjoy your meal on the lovely terrace. |The location is ideal - right in Portoroz but the few steps 'removed' from the main drag makes all the different and creates a senses of calm. |Bus stops to Piran (beautiful walled town) and to Lucija (to visit the Salt Marsh nature reserve) are only a few steps from the door of the hotel.||On the downside, the WiFi is extremely poor unless the hotel is almost empty - this should be easily remedied and is mentioned in several reviews. |The fourth / final night I was there was a Friday night. The hotel was full & the noise from other rooms was horrendous. The shrieking laughs of the people in the next room - at 1.42 am - were so loud that it felt as though there were no walls.|Both issues were discussed with reception staff and basically shrugged off - this was the only real negative of the stay.

Nice hotel but needs some fresh and innovative management with a renovating capacity. Can't stay like this too long, it would be really a shame to deteriorate further. On the plus side, they at least charge considerably less than the big hotels in the vicinity. The hotel is small and is placed away from the busier part of Portorož, but still very close at the same time - so, the location is just perfect. The small park in front is a little gem on it's own and it's really nice to relax there before going out or when returning back. They have they're own parking behind the hotel so you can park your car under a roof if you want. It costs extra, but considering that you also have to pay the public parking if you park by the street, without any protection, it's worth the money and a peace of mind. They still have the old school keys to open the rooms, which is kinda romantic and all, but to my taste those heavy weight key rings are really unnecessary - you need a backpack to take the key around or better just leave and pick it up at the reception every time (which can be annoying if there is more people waiting in line there and you have to pardon etc...). It's not for the demanding client in terms of quality and star rating perception. The rooms clearly show wear, the chrome on the pipes in the bathroom is brown on the edges - so old and so roughly brushed by the cleaning staff, that it's getting a vintage worn off look which is not for everyone's taste. Etc. Overall, its strong points still out match the weak ones and I would still come back, and also understand why it has many regular seasonal customers, but it is high time to start investing and renovating.

Hotel Marko, excellent position of the hotel, beautiful ambience, the garden itself exudes greenery and excellent natural shade. extremely well organized and excellent hygiene of the facility. Food of exceptional taste, and a diverse offer. The room is spacious and practical. The staff is hospitable, homely, helpful at all times. A warm recommendation for a stay in this hotel, where peace and quiet complement the smell of the sea and pine trees.

The small cozy hotel in 3 floor building, decorated as first half of 20th century. There is elevator (!). Nice breakfast , frendly staff, clean. The room and bathroom are big enough. The sea is in 50 meter away and the beach is comfortable. The disadvantages are: weak wifi, small shower stall (despite the bathroom is big enough) and there is no kettle in the room.

We loved this hotel. The reception team are super friendly and helpful. Iztok is a fabulous member of the team, really caring about our experience and going out of his way to make sure everything was just right. The whole place feels warm and friendly, the beds are very comfortable, the showers great and the breakfast and dinner beautifully cooked and presented. We were so appreciative that everyone spoke English so well too. We have already recommended this hotel to our friends who are visiting Slovenia soon. A huge and special thank you to the reception team though, they are truly outstanding!
