Hôtel Matagami

Its clean but the decor and infrastructure is old, reminiscent of the 80s. The beds make my back stiff. Has a full tub which is nice. Water pressure is good. Many channels on the tv and wifi works. In the bar and restaurant the service is slower. Give yourself plenty of time for dining. They seem impatient to non francophone speakers. All in all. 2.5 star hotel/motel.

Friendly, welcoming, efficient staff at the counter and housekeeping. Hygiene procedures are well adhered to; the premises, rooms, and exterior are very clean and regularly kept that way. Bath tubs were recently replaced in the rooms; a wise upgrade for the clientel who wish for a large, deep bath after being on the road. The restaurant is temporarily closed, unfortunately so because the meals there are A1.

It's a great place to stay, I enjoy my night room are very nice and clean and also serving breakfast at 5am, lunch at 11am and supper till 9pm. Great food, prices and service with all the staff I met I will be staying here again on my next trip keep up the great work.

A1 service, especially appreciated Stephane! Clean and cozy 3star hotel/motel lights are a little dim, good to relax but should have the option of having them stronger in case someone is up late working on things. Otherwise cant really ask for more.

They ripped us off. They charged us for the room even though we canceled the reservation. The people are rude. They do not want to help their customers. I was not notified about their cancelation policy. It was off season and there was no reason for this despicable behavior.

Probably your best option to sleep in the area. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. There is also a restaurant that serves breakfast. If you are looking to treat after a long day on the road there is also a room with a spa tub.

Clean and reliable. Friendly and welcoming staff who are used to English clientel coming and going. Souvenirs are available to purchase at the front desk if you're looking for native crafts or Knick knacks. The restaurant is decent, although it is limited on vegetarian choices (forget it if you're vegan). Breakfast is pretty good here. Next door is a bar that's also a good place to bump into familiar faces along this road. There are two gas stations nearby, one literally beside the hotel (Shell) and one across the street (Esso). Extremely convenient.

Staying there this week. Stayed several weeks a last year as well for work. Modest Hotel with a down home feel. Does not have a pool or exercise area but does have an onsite restaurant and bar with friendly employees. Never had any issues with language. The rooms are clean and well kept. Flat screens in room and the regular items like iron and hair dryer. Room was a little cold when it was -28 outside but after running the baseboard heater for an hour or so I was too warm. it is the ONLY hotel you will want to stay at in this area.
