Starting with the reception which was absolutely friendly and warm, whenever you encountered someone from the staff, they always had a smile on their face, the rooms very, very clean! The breakfast buffet totally lovingly and attractively arranged! The terrace and the view simply gorgeous. Summary of our short trip we will definitely come again!

Magnificent Hotel Mauro. This delightful Boutique Hotel was exceptional from the moment we stepped through the door. We received such a warm and inviting welcome from the receptionist AnnaMaria. What an asset she is to this hotel. With its prime position on the waterfront this gorgeous hotel was perfect in every way. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We felt at home. The rooms are exceptional, the beds and bedding and towels were absolutely 5 Star. The breakfast was incredibly sumptuous and abundant, the quality was outstanding. We have already been telling our friends and family, this is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Porec.

This hotel is in an excellent position on the waterfront in the old town of Porec. Having read previous reviews we chose this hotel, however our experience was not the same. Our room was large and well appointed, but there was a list of at least five things that didn't work or were faulty, the relevant member of staff had obviously not checked the room before we arrived. Although the room was very clean and comfortable, we were so disappointed by the amateur level of service. It took a young university student who was on work placement, to use her initiative and sort out all our problems. We made good use of the shuttle to the lovely swimming pools and beach area. That driver was very professional and helpful. The breakfast was truly superb, delicious fruit, a stunning spread of cold meat, cheese, bread and pastries, and eggs included. The waitress in the breakfast area was also friendly and efficient. We genuinely have a dilemma, as to whether we would return, if the organisational problems and details in the rooms have not been resolved. We loved Porec itself!

I will only comment their Bar in front of the hotel - the location is very pleasant. Some guests received a small cup of chips with their order, while others (also we) did not, even if the same drink was ordered - I don't understand this double standards. They also have a very "special" offer- for the price of a large beer (in other bars) you get here small beer. Unfortunately, I can't recommend to visit this bar.

What a wonderful place to stay in Poreč! The staff totally made the hotel feel like home for our 3 night honeymoon stay. So thoughtful, helpful and kind. The 10 minute drive to the idyllic private beach and pool area was no problem at all, and we took paddleboards which we worried would be a burden and a hassle but were no trouble at all. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was delicious, especially as you could eat and be served coffee out on the open air terrace. We loved our stay, thank you so much!

What makes hotels memorable is the people who work there. Matea, Dusan, Medin, and Dzemo deserve applause for friendly and helpful service throughout our 5 days stay in Boutique hotel Mauro. From the moment we reserved the room to the departure, your contribution to our vacation in Porec has been nothing short of fantastic. Thank you guys, you are truly special. ||||The hotel itself is very nice, spotlessly clean, nice breakfast, very good internet in the room. It is located in the heart of old town Porec with walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars. Shuttle to the beach works very well. ||||Would we come again and recommend to friends? You bet we will!

We stayed here with our friends and had the two adjoining balcony rooms at the front, which proved to be a great decision as we affectively had a balcony the full width of the Hotel.||The rooms themselves were very acceptable, even though we had a small problem with a broken flush which the hotel handled well.||The breakfast was very good and they catered for my wife’s Gluten free diet.||The front of house guys were great, with Ivan being particularly helpful.||The hotel is situated right on the front with great access to the old town. We didn’t notice any problems with noise and the air con worked very well.||There is no Pool at the Hotel, but there is free use of a private beach resort just along the coast with a free shuttle bus bookable from reception. Once there, the use of the Loungers and Parasols are free. Transport back is arranged by the resort front desk - the journey takes about 10 mins and can be walked in about 40 - a pleasant walk along the coast, passing lots of other beaches and bars.||The other beach we used was the St Nikolai Island resort - a short ferry trip ( about £5) return, and once there the choice of a number of beaches is yours, again free parasols and loungers if you take the towels from the Mauro that show you are part of the same group as the resort.||Things we liked about Porec- the restaurants ( Aba, Sarajevo, Nono for Pizza) Bars- Torre Rotunda, Lapidorium for live music, wine corner. Boat trips to Rovinj and Venice.||So I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, a great find.

Excellent hotel at perfect location. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful in every matter. Since the hotel is located in the narrow citycentre parking in front of the hotel is not possible, but the staff takes care of your vehicle and transfers it to the outskirts of town and will pick-it up again for you if needed. Nice rooms, tidy and very clean. The only slight negative point is, that there are some rooms facing the inside and therefore don't get too much ambient light (no big deal at all). The hotel offers a transfer to a nerby camping with a nice beach/pool, which is included (also for beach towels, chairs and umbrellas)... The greatest thing about Hotel Mauro is it's staff. They are as friendly and helpful as it could get. We felt like they really cared about us and not, that we are just some random guests like in many other places. We (a young couple from Europe) travelled together with friends, who had a 4-month old baby. They really took great care about families and kids.
