Rescheduled our trip to Istria and sacked off a couple of days in Rovinj to return to quieter Porec. Mauro Boutique Hotel was perfectly situated on the edge of the old town with harbour side views. All the staff were very welcoming, especially Tiana and Sudip who was so attentive at breakfast and always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Our room had a balcony with a sea view and was modern, exceptionally clean, well appointed and quiet. |There was a generous breakfast spread including cooked options if preferred. |Don’t be put off by the parking arrangement if you are driving. The address provided by the hotel takes you to a large, staff managed car park and a 2 minute trip in a shuttle bus brings you to the door.|If we return to charming Porec we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Mauro Boutique Hotel again.

Boutique hotel Mauro is perfectly located in the city center. Since Poreč city center has a restriction for cars, the hotel offers parking 1.5km away for 20€ a day. The hotel offers a free transfer to parking. I do not remember waiting more than 10min for the transfer. ||One of the free offers from the hotel is to go to Isabella island resort, which can be seen from the shore.||Our room 305 had a big double bed + a small bed arranged for our small daughter, who stayed free of charge. |Diversified and abundant breakfast on the terrace outside is a big plus! I would say it had all possible options for different tastes. You could also take a prosecco in the morning, if you feel like it. ||The only disadvantage is the broken elevator. It would be a challenge for people with disabilities to stay in the hotel on the upper floors.

Starting with the reception which was absolutely friendly and warm, whenever you encountered someone from the staff, they always had a smile on their face, the rooms very, very clean! The breakfast buffet totally lovingly and attractively arranged! The terrace and the view simply gorgeous. Summary of our short trip we will definitely come again!

Magnificent Hotel Mauro. This delightful Boutique Hotel was exceptional from the moment we stepped through the door. We received such a warm and inviting welcome from the receptionist AnnaMaria. What an asset she is to this hotel. With its prime position on the waterfront this gorgeous hotel was perfect in every way. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We felt at home. The rooms are exceptional, the beds and bedding and towels were absolutely 5 Star. The breakfast was incredibly sumptuous and abundant, the quality was outstanding. We have already been telling our friends and family, this is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Porec.

We stayed 5 nights in hotel Mauro and tremendously enjoyed this small boutique hotel at an excellent location. The hotel is located at a relatively quite part of the main boulevard, where no cars are allowed. Breakfast is served at the terrace in front of the hotel. Breakfast was great with a huge assortiment of high quality food and with daily variations, |Numorous restaurants and terraces around the corner. |We booked a room with sea view and balcony, which was an excellent choice. |But the best part is the staff, which is extremely friendly and forthcoming, and arranged free transfers to the beach and the parking area (which by the way is only a 6 minute walk). Iwan, the driver, was great and good company.

This hotel is in an excellent position on the waterfront in the old town of Porec. Having read previous reviews we chose this hotel, however our experience was not the same. Our room was large and well appointed, but there was a list of at least five things that didn't work or were faulty, the relevant member of staff had obviously not checked the room before we arrived. Although the room was very clean and comfortable, we were so disappointed by the amateur level of service. It took a young university student who was on work placement, to use her initiative and sort out all our problems. We made good use of the shuttle to the lovely swimming pools and beach area. That driver was very professional and helpful. The breakfast was truly superb, delicious fruit, a stunning spread of cold meat, cheese, bread and pastries, and eggs included. The waitress in the breakfast area was also friendly and efficient. We genuinely have a dilemma, as to whether we would return, if the organisational problems and details in the rooms have not been resolved. We loved Porec itself!

We spent our holiday in Poreč in the wonderful Boutique Hotel Mauro. We stayed there for 7 nights and it was a great experience! Hotel has an excellent location, in the center of Poreč, so you are very close to main streets and a beautiful lungo mare where the sunsets are simply stunning. ||The hotel has a great and very helpful and friendly staff and they are undeniably one of hotel's greatest strengths. They helped us in every way they could and made us feel very welcome. ||The hotel has a couple of pools and a beach (both pools and the beach are shared with camp Materada) but they are not really within a walking distance. However, the hotel is very well organised so You have transportation to the pool and the beach basically during the whole day (there was a break between 1 PM and 4 PM in order to help incoming guests). The pool is wonderful and perfect for a relaxing vacation. ||The room was cozy and well furnished with comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent, made from fresh ingredients and had everything you can think of with very fine homemade pastry. ||To conclude, Boutique Hotel Mauro is a wonderful hotel, with amazing staff, very well organized and ideal for an amazing vacation!||I also want to say that Poreč is a wonderful coastal town and the whole of Istria has a very special atmosphere, unlike anything I felt elsewhere. There is a beautiful sense of peace and joy there, a sense of place marching to the beat of its own drum, completely unfazed by hysteria of modern world. If you really want to relax and regain your inner joy, Istria is the right place.
