The reception staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made a very positive first impression. The hotel itself is nice and well kept, but the room felt quite cramped. The bathroom design, with no door, can be uncomfortable when sharing a room. The location is close to a metro station, which is convenient, though it’s a bit far from the city center. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent staff, but room comfort and privacy could be improved.

Beautiful, small hotel in a much less touristy area that is only a few short metro stops away from the main spots. Great location: lovely cafes/bars nearby, 2 min walk to metro. And the friendliest staff, especially Mus. I know the room sizes here vary, but we had a deluxe double room, which was large by Paris standards and very comfortable. We wanted somewhere cute and boutique-y outside the main tourist traps with a real neighbourhood feel that was still convenient and pretty central - this place delivered.

Whoever rated this hotel as 4 stars?? Tiny room, tiny shower combined with toilet with glass doors does not give any privacy. Sink is located in the room. The gel/shampoo bottle in the shower was completely empty, which you discover after squeezing in to take a shower before bed. |The neighborhood is safe,5 min to Alessia metro,12 min to Denfert Rocherau|The only nice thing is the balcony and the nearby cafes.

The gel/shampoo bottle in the shower was completely empty, which you find out after getting into the shower before going to sleep after the long flight. Linens are old and torn. Curtains must be drawn ,otherwise you are looking directly into the offices in the building right across. No hand towel hook, no fridge. And all of this for a mere 220 euro per night.

Room is OK. Location is good. WIFI is very bad or non existent. After complaining few times about it, our complaint was brushed off without a fix. In 2025, Internet isn't a commodity, it's essential. You would expect a 3 stars hotel to figure that out.

I had a wonderful stay at Max Hotel! The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for three nights as a family of four in December on our first trip to Paris visiting from Australia - booking two rooms.||There are a few things that we really liked about our stay. Most importantly, the service here was excellent. From the moment we first arrived we were made to feel so welcome despite us speaking almost no French. I can’t overstate how nice this was upon first arriving and throughout our stay. ||The rooms themselves are small (compared to hotel rooms in Australia) but we knew this coming in. The shower was excellent and the beds were comfortable so what more did we need really? Finally, compared to many other options this place was very affordable. £750 for 2x rooms x 3 nights was much cheaper than many other options in Paris. ||We didn’t eat from the breakfast menu so we can’t really comment on that. Location was excellent too - we felt very safe in the area and there was a great mix of everything you would hope for in Paris - bakeries, patisseries, crepes, corner deli, pharmacy, and of course the metro. There were also some convenient typical ‘fast food’ options which was good for my son who can be a fussy eater.||I am not saying this hotel is a 5-star hotel, but it is a three star hotel that I rate five stars (if that makes sense). It was a wonderful experience with super friendly staff. The boutique nature of this hotel made it feel like we were the only guests sometimes so it felt really personal too. I feel like this place is a little gem in the city of Paris and my family and I would happily stay here again on a return visit to Paris :)

Stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. It’s in a calm area with a nice view. But room was completely different from the one we booked on their website. Wanted to say a huge thanks for being able to accommodate us much earlier than check in time. Desk staff that works on Sundays were so nice and friendly, unlike others. But if you are thinking about getting a room with breakfast package, then don’t. There are not a lot of options for breakfast. There are a lot of different places nearby where you can have amazing breakfast. Including the fact that breakfasts were included in our stay, we were charged extra money when asked for a cup of tea in the evening, when feeling a little sick. That is ridiculous.

Location: In the 14th arrondissement. I'd describe this borough as residential and definitely outside the tourist crap, so you definitely get to see how the locals live. There are tons of coffee shops and eateries in the area, so you won't run out of options when you get hungry. The hotel is also a 5-minute walk to the subway, so you can easily get around the city. You wouldn't be able to walk to the core, but you can walk to Butte-aux-Cailles pretty easily. The subway line offers direct access to Montmartre without having to transfer - I was there in 35 minutes! The place: This is a small boutique hotel with modern decor and a cozy vibe. The reception area is small but I wouldn't expect to have a large group of people checking in at the same time, so it's not a big deal. There's a small dining area to the left of the entrance that they set up for breakfast, as well as a little lounge area with two couches on the way to the elevators. It's very homey! The goods: I booked a regular room with a double bed, that ended up being located on the top (3rd) floor - perfect for me since I hate having people above me! I would say that the room was perfect for one person but would be tight for two people. The room included a small table and chair, a Nespresso coffee machine with pods (I think these were actually included in the rate but I forgot to ask), and a safe. Very clean and the bed was SUPER comfortable. I found the bathroom to be a little on the small side and it was tough to move around easily but I don't usually spend my days in the bathroom so it's not a deal-breaker. My room was located on a street corner so it did sometimes get noisy but it seemed quiet late at night. Service: Friendly. Price point: This will depend on when you book and whether or not you get some kind of discount. I thought the rate was decent, but could perhaps be a little bit lower considering this borough is well enough outside the core. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it.
