This is a lovely hotel tucked away in a quiet corner of the Old Town, just a short walk from Prague’s historic centre and Old Town Square. The building itself has pedigree, originally designed in the 1920s by Czech architectural historian and critic Karel Teige, and after a full renovation in 2019, it now combines history with sleek modern comfort.||We stayed in Room 206, which came with a small balcony overlooking the street and opposite a church. At night the church was beautifully lit, making the view from our balcony quite special. The room itself was well thought out and very comfortable—perfect for frequent travellers. Details like a sofa to hold a second suitcase, plenty of bathroom shelving, and that little balcony made all the difference. The king-size bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the small fridge, stocked daily with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, was a nice touch. Tea and coffee making facilities were also available. (Although coffee sachets etc were not provided.)||Breakfast, included in our stay, wasn’t lavishly extensive but the quality was excellent. Best of all, freshly cooked dishes like omelettes, eggs Benedict, and eggs Florentine could be ordered to your table—paired with attentive service that really stood out.||From check-in onwards, the staff were consistently warm and accommodating. Even when a billing error appeared at checkout, it was quickly and graciously resolved. ||The surrounding area also offered plenty of choices for restaurants, cafés, and mini-marts, all within easy reach.||All in all, this hotel is beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Prague. We would happily stay here again and definitely recommend it.
