Hotel Maximilian's

I would say it’s good value for money, but nothing special, except breakfast. Breakfast is fantastic. Very small gym with limited facilities, sauna is open from 4 pm to 10 pm, which is not convenient, if you are one night visitor and use gym in the morning

We have been guests in this hotel for the last 7 years if not 8. This hotel is amazing. From the greeting upon checking in and until we leave is pure enjoyment the entire stay. We try to go at least 2-3 times a year. We celebrate my birthdays and christmas day with our family. Of course, staying overnight. Not only do we enjoy the excellent talent of their 'chefs' cooking but also awaiting anxiously for the next morning breakfast. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. It seems that the management does know the motto "your wish is my command" because it's all there what the guest needs to enjoy, an awesome start of the day. NOT TO EXCLUDE, the 'live' cooking in the evening for dinner and morning breakfast. It was nice to see teo familuar faces servicing us. In the evening a young man who i recognized and we spoke to acknowledge that he was in the hotel in April '25 and a waitress named Katrin M in the morning. Great service!! But, all in all the service is 👍👍. ||In addition i must say...the hotel is kept in more than 'excellent/clean condition. And we have stayed in MANY 4☆/5☆ hotels and have found some flaws. In this hotel i have not found anything. i can't shake my head in any negative way. One thing important to me is 'not' to see in the bathroom that the tub/shower needs recauking. I can't stand seeing any kind of mold. But in hotel maximilian..PERFECT! so clean...everything in order. Complimentary water bottle and bathroom amenties. ||We live only 1 hour away from Augsburg but often we just want to have a quick get away, good food, no stress 'cuz my husband Dr.P. loves it that it's a jump...skip..and a hop to this hotel and just E N J O Y! ☺️

Great staff, beautiful design and decor, amazing room, great breakfast and nice bar area. The only item I could complain about would be the firm mattress was too hard for my sore hip. The room had darkening shades, a button to open the window in the skylight which has a sunblind, all on switches. The bathroom was well appointed with nice shower products and lotion. It also included a heated towel rack. The lighting was nice because there were many options and plenty of outlets for our devices. We had a large desk area and a mini bar/ coffee machine. The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. It served our needs well.

I've stayed in Augsburg twice and both times Hotel Maximilian's has made the trip so much more enjoyable. The rooms, so far, all seem to have their own identity instead of the same artwork and shape for each room. The location can't be beat, walking distance to local restaurants like Bob's and Ratskeller and the views of the street are awesome. Parking is very easy with the garage right there and it's an easy 40min drive to Donauworth if you are there for business.

This is an excellent hotel, with welcoming and helpful staff. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. We had a two night stay at this hotel as part of a family of four. Excellent breakfast choices as well.

this is a fivestar superior hotel very excited to go there. The receptions were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working in my room 158. I went downstairs. It was 7 PM at night. She took me around to a few other rooms, which were all very warm and then I saw other fans outside the doors obviously that first floor does not work well after an unpleasant night sleep, I went down and told him I had to be moved to a room that Air conditioning worked. They put me in another room on the third floor 303. It was cooler, but it never went down to 16 Celsius as it says on the thermostat, there’s obviously something wrong with the air conditioning. The breakfast was very good although I did ask the last day for crêpes and he said he didn’t have any that day. thought you’re supposed to make what the client asked for, but I guess I’m wrong !!! it was a good location. Perfect for my needs Restaurents all around even service for buses. If you need them, I would say this is a highly recommended hotel just make sure the air conditioning works as it states that it does

I stayed at Maximilians Hotel in Augsburg from 19 July – 05 August 2025 with my two young children. Unfortunately, the experience was far below what I expected from a five-star property. • The curtains were transparent, making it impossible for my kids (who go to bed at 7 pm) and myself to sleep properly. We were waking up every day at 5 am due to light exposure. • Despite repeated requests for blackout curtains or even double layers, nothing was done. • Out of desperation, I had to cover the windows myself, which left us living in a dark room without daylight or view for over two weeks. • After checkout, I was shocked to discover an €850 charge applied to my credit card without advance notice, which I am disputing. • Adding to the disappointment, this stay coincided with my 40th birthday, a milestone I had hoped to celebrate in comfort. Instead, it became a source of stress and frustration. I have stayed at this hotel for three years in a row, but this experience was extremely disappointing and showed no loyalty to returning guests. I sincerely hope management reconsiders how they treat families and loyal customers in the future.

5 star property with very good spa excellent breakfast in a great location. The room and everything in it was lovely.
