I've been to Badami multiple times. However, stayed in this hotel for the first time. Hotel is fine, staff is courteous & friendly. We checked-in at very early morning at around 4 AM. Room service is absolutely not there. Problem is that they don't have service staff at all. 1 helper boy helped us very well. Room & cafeteria - See below Location - Excellent. Badami caves are at a walkable distance from here, approx 1.5 km. Banashankari mandir is approx 5 km. Other than shared problems, this is quite a good hotel, surrounded by plenty of trees. Bonus - Riksha charge To Banshankari mandir - 30 to 50 ₹/head To caves - Walk, if you could. 10 to 20 ₹/head. To Bhutnath complex - 10 to 20 ₹/head. Aihole & Pattadakal - Depends on your bargaining skills! :)

I had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The staff were extremely polite and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast spread was delicious and had a lot of variety. Location was perfect – close to major attractions. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing stay!

The rooms are spacious, but overall they look very old and outdated. The hotel is in very poor condition—there is water leakage at multiple places, and buckets are kept near the stairs to collect it, which feels unsafe. Towels are torn and appear to be overused. Chairs in the room had visible fungus, showing lack of proper maintenance. Food quality was also just average. Overall, not a pleasant experience and the property needs serious improvement in cleanliness, upkeep, and renovation.

Convenient location near Badami Caves. We stayed in two semi-deluxe AC rooms — they were spacious, but the air conditioning definitely needs servicing. Transport was easily available right outside the hotel, which was helpful. A unique experience was seeing monkeys on the nearby trees, though they’re not aggressive unless provoked. However, the restaurant menu was quite limited, especially for breakfast, so we chose to eat elsewhere. Overall, a decent stay for the price, with room for improvement in services.

Location and surrounding environment is very pleasant. Hotel staff is very humble and helpful nature. But rooms are not maintained properly. There is need to repairs in bathrooms. Water from first floor is continuously sipping to the ground floor bathroom. Also there is scope to improve service in restaurant. There is much more waiting for ordered food to be received.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ I haven’t stayed at this hotel yet, but after going through several guest reviews, it seems like a decent and value-for-money option near the Badami Caves. The location is a big plus — peaceful and conveniently close to major attractions. Rooms are reportedly spacious and comfortable, though some guests mentioned that a few amenities could be improved or added, especially considering the pricing. It looks like the ACs may need a bit of servicing in some rooms. The food gets generally good feedback, especially at lunch and dinner, though the breakfast menu seems limited. Room service appears to be a challenge due to a staffing shortage, so guests often need to visit the restaurant directly. Still, the staff is described as humble, cooperative, and doing their best to help. Overall, seems like a good budget-friendly place to stay in Badami if you don’t mind a few small compromises.

Hotel is not new and thus its wear and tears are too apparent. Not too far from the busstand. Rooms are spacious and airy but not exceptionally clean. Bathrooms are okay, hot water available 24 hours. Bathroom supplies are of good quality. Restuarant available on the premises. Serves both veg and non veg food. Plenty of parking space.

Hotel Mayura Chalukya serves well as a peaceful and conveniently located base for exploring Badami’s caves and heritage sites. Ideal if you value space, parking, and friendly staff. However, if you expect polished interiors, speedy service, or modern amenities, it may leave you wanting. Opt for AC rooms if visiting in summer, and be prepared for some patience during check-in and dining. Recommended for travelers seeking simple comfort and easy access—but leave starched expectations at home.
