Hotel Mayura Chalukya Badami

Stayed here during my Badami exploration and it was such a convenient base! The rooms were clean and had a cozy vibe, perfect to wrap up the day after exploration. The staff’s hospitality stood out they were warm, helpful and always had a smile. However, the restaurant service felt like a test of patience, it was super slow! The food was decent but a tad overpriced compared to other options nearby. If you’re in a rush or want better value, I’d recommend dining at one of the local eateries instead. Despite that, the hotel’s location and comfort make it a great choice for travelers. Would I stay here again? Definitely, but I'd plan my meals elsewhere!

The service is very poor... Only 2 or 3 staff were there to serve at the restaurant. Because of scarcity of needed numbers of causing the in taking orders and delivery of the food.... Cleaning the table is not in dictionary of the staff... Food taste is OK. The concerned responsible person/manager not seen... May be because of govt hotel. Anyway salary is coming attitude.... For the available facilities or place the staff/in charge person or manager can do lot more to develop the place and make it customer friendly place. I think lack of proper private restaurants and hotels nearby making these hotel become monopoly in this area.... In our room only one socket was working. So if you want to charge other items you need to wait for the first one get charged. Please do the needful to improve the service and environment, so that people will get benefits for what they are paying. Thank you

Rooms were spacious,but as per the price more amenities should be provided which is available in private hotels. Due to lack of staff room service is not available and one has to go every time to the restaurant to get food or beverages. Food quality was good,once in the restaurant the staff try to provide the food as fast as possible.

We booked a non ac semi deluxe room. They did not provide us check in on time,let alone early check in, they did not provide us check in on time is which is very awkward - 1PM. We left at 130 PM still we were not checked in the room. They did provide us a temporary room to freshen up which was a good thing, our time did not get wasted that much luckily. Room luckily when we got checked in was excellent! Clean, bathroom itself was very clean and bathroom was as big as the room. The service was super slow though, we called them thrice was towel and soap which they gave us after an hour. They also provide laundry service here.

“Since Badami is a small town, hotel options are limited. The KSTDC hotel is an average option at a decent price, but the service leaves much to be desired. The staff is not very accommodating—they strictly deny early check-ins, even if you’ve traveled long distances. We arrived at 10:30 AM and were refused early check-in. When we asked for breakfast, we were informed it was over, and neither coffee nor tea was available. The only positive was that they provided a temporary room to freshen up. The food is just okay, but the menu is limited, and only about 50% of the items are available. The room’s air conditioning was non-functional, and despite calling four times, no one addressed the issue. Since there are no nearby restaurants, you’re entirely dependent on the hotel for meals. Overall, it’s not the most comfortable experience but may suffice for a short stay in Badami.”

Reasonably good place to stay for Badami. The room was spacious enough for 3 adults and 1 child. The restaurant was OK, but ran out of items, and had very slow service. The location is good, only about 1.5 km from the caves and temple parking area.

Not worth it. You will get far better rooms and service at this cost. Food is served is very bad. No taste at all. Rooms are not clean, unhygienic. We had a bad experience. We had booked the rooms and cancelled the same day, but its one month we did not receive the refund yet. When we reply them through email, there is no reply from their side and not giving us the status through email as well. The head office staff is irresponsible and did not have the courtesy to reply on email.

Our stay at Mayura Chalukya Badami was good. The staff were very polite, cooperative and they knew how to treat the guests. Now coming to the room. It would have been better if the bathroom was a little smaller and that space was used for the room, then the room would be a little bigger. But the bathroom was clean. The room was clean too. The bedsheet was okay. Food was good.
