Hotel Mayura Hoysala Mysuru

Our family stayed at the Mayura Hoysala last month. We were given one of the newer rooms at the back to the extreme corner due to which we had no wifi signal. Perhaps a mesh may alleviate this situation. The room was decent and we faced a vacant plot which was a preferable sight. The staff effectively make up for the negatives. They were all very helpful and cooperative. The front desk for us were brilliant and very helpful. The restaurant is decent and we dined there a lot. It takes time but we were on holidays so easy pace worked for us. Indo Chinese and North Indian dishes were good. I expected a big list of South indian delicacies but was disappointed. Our only complaint was that other than the Mysore day trip, kstdc did not run any other trip as per their website. Even the double decker started and ended at the palace although it is parked at Mayura. Overall however, pleasant stay and great location.

Decent place for a quick stay. Clean rooms, limited service though. Food is good. Lot of parking space. Some time goes in waiting in the restuarant due to limited hands. Located on the main road is the main advantage as it connect easily to all parts of the city. No lavish rooms, still large rooms, provided with all basic necessities. Suggest this for a quick stay as it is worth the money, both room as well as food.

Location and rooms are good and the low level staff are maintaining well. Night time lots of disturbances and the front of the building with an icecream parlour becomes a alcohol bar in the open garden from 06.30pm onwards. An eyesore for elderly and women tourists and not safe for tourists

We had a good experience at Mayura Hoysala. The food was awesome especially the breakfast items. Good for people who want to drink as well. One thing could be improved is the rooms, and they should have electric kettle and instant coffee and tea sachets in the rooms, as it's quite standard in every modern day hotel. The hotel itself is a thing of beauty with lovely heritage architecture.

This is a state associated hotel. It has an old colonial vibe. The bed linen was clean but everything else was dirty and old. The place is run down and there were two abandoned old mattresses left leaning against a wall outside our room. Staff were very pleasant but only two towels per room even though there were four of us-two adults and two kids in the room. They wouldn’t give us more. It is right beside a very busy road so while the location is good it is extremely noisy. We left after one night as it was so run down. |We are western but an Indian friend came to stay with us and saw the rooms and left.

Won’t recommend due to these reasons- rooms were not well maintained, bathrooms were not hygienic , neither are the beds. Breakfast was below average. Positives- staffs were well mannered, lunch, dinner was good especially the non- veg dishes. Alcoholic beverages were available. The hotel is located close to palace, zoo .

The only positive thing about this hotel is its central location. Beyond that, my experience was overwhelmingly negative, and I would not recommend this place, especially for families. The Single Pro: · Location: The hotel is situated in a very convenient spot in Mysuru, making it easy to access the city. The Many Cons: · Horrible Non-AC Rooms: Please never consider a non-AC room. They are in a terrible state with clogging issues, old bedsheets, and cobwebs on the windows. They are not worth the money at all. · Poor Maintenance & Cleanliness: Even the AC rooms, while slightly better with functional washrooms, had major hygiene issues. The towels provided stank of alcohol. · Unpleasant Atmosphere: The entire hotel has a pervasive smell of alcohol. The place seems to attract heavy drinkers, and the atmosphere is not family-friendly. This was confirmed when staff at the reception/room service after midnight also smelled strongly of alcohol. · Overpriced, Low-Quality Food: The in-house restaurant is overpriced for the mediocre quality and taste of the food. · Hygiene & Staff Conduct: The issue with staff smelling of alcohol late at night is unacceptable and creates an uncomfortable feeling for guests. A Small Saving Grace: · Breakfast Alternative : Madhur Tiffans, a hotel nearby Verdict: Choose this hotelonly if the location is your absolute top priority and you are booking an AC room for a very short, budget stay. Be prepared for basic amenities, cleanliness issues, and an environment dominated by drunkards. For a comfortable, clean, or family-friendly stay, there are far better options in Mysuru, even at a similar price point. This hotel survives solely on its location advantage.

On seeing on website felt doubtful about ambience and safety as it is family trip. On arrival we were mesmerized on seeing heritage building and rooms. Ask for heritage rooms on first floor which has better privacy and view. Restaurant food also good. Non AC rooms and Dorms on adjacent usual concrete building. Only negative no Wi-Fi for heritage rooms (no idea about others) Wifi available on Reception lobby and restaurant. Jio and Vi very poor data, voice no issues. Staffs helpful. Property just 400 meters. If less luggage we can just walk on straight road. We extended our stay as loved this charming property, people and city. Ola uber rapido are cheapest. Management should not allow bar facility on garden as it dampens heritage and family feel. Better if they prohibited alcohol in premises.
