This was our first visit to Ljubljana and the hotel was near the Polyclinic only two stops by bus from the station and four or five from Preseren Square and the bridges. |The staff at arrival were very pleasant and helpful, and our room was huge with plenty storage and a good shower room, although we had a problem with a flushing toilet which was instantly fixed. |The only real problem with the hotel was breakfast, which was very poor indeed and presented in an unwelcoming room with what appeared to be miserable, unsmiling staff. Although most staff elsewhere were very pleasant indeed, the misery seemed to extend to reception and when we left the hotel on two mornings, the young woman on duty could barely be bothered to acknowledge us. I would suggest she find a role away from contact with the public. |These were the let-downs of the hotel, and I would not recommend it because of these shortcomings despite the positives.

The nice size room with a nice clean renovated washroom, big bright windows, lacked basic amenities. We got a two small bars of soap and a small tube of body wash not a big deal for us. Our room had two single beds and a single chair couch which converted to an extra bed for our son. This bed was on the floor and did not have any sheets or pillow cases. At least we got a pillow and cover for him. We would have asked for sheets but we came back after 9pm and no one works at reception after 9pm daily. The AC was perfect. They do offer a simple breakfast on the first floor. Parking was an issue as they have a very limited number of spots. We had to park at a 24 hour parking lot across the street. It cost 40€ to park there overnight.

Location is immediately next to a hospital, but room was actually quiet. Refrigerator didn't work. Fifteen minutes walk (or €4-5 uber) to central train/bus station and to center old town. There is a grocery store nearby. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was fine and fun with pickled chili peppers and nice coffee machine. The young receptionist has forgotten how to smile. The slightly older receptionist was very helpful with restaurant orientation and such.

The only reason I can’t give this 5 stars is because we kept hearing loud generator noises in our room, randomly and at all hours. The free parking that doesn’t exist any more, (we booked our stay months ago and upon arrival were told there is not free parking available) and the “Full” under ground parking that was definitely not full. ( which we were told was unavailable because it was full)

I booked this hotel through Hotel.com thinking it was a three-star hotel, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The room I booked was supposed to have a queen bed, but instead, there were two single beds pushed together, which made sleeping very uncomfortable. The bathroom was another disaster—the glass partition wasn’t properly sealed, and the entire bathroom floor got flooded after just one shower. The reception closes at 9 PM, which is highly inconvenient. Cleanliness was also a major issue—there were stains on the bed sheets, and even blood stains on the blanket. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned either, with hair stuck to the walls and leftover shampoo from previous guests. On top of all that, the hotel is in a terrible location—right next to a hospital emergency entrance and an emergency helipad. The noise from helicopters and ambulances was constant, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. Hotel.com offered to move us to a "deluxe" room, but it wasn’t much of an improvement. The bathroom still leaked, and basic amenities were missing. The breakfast was underwhelming too, with limited and low-quality options. To make things worse, I wasn't even given a “Do Not Disturb” door hanger despite asking the reception for one. As a result, the cleaner came into the room while we were trying to rest. It wasn’t her fault—she wouldn’t have known without the sign—but this kind of basic mismanagement is unacceptable in a hotel. The only redeeming aspect was the polite amd friendly staff, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the overall terrible experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Booked via Booking.com with taxes/fees included. Still had to pay extra on location. The rooms are not clean and there are no power outlets near the bed. The air conditioning barely works. Don’t bother going to breakfast — it’s worthless. On top of that, the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage, and the whole room reeked of it. Reported it, but they said there was nothing they could do. Never again this hotel for me.

Reviews were somewhat dismal last year and so it was a pleasant surprise to find the Meksiko Hotel to be a quiet, clean, and well-run hotel.|I had a single, en-suite room on the top floor (3rd). Yes, my window faced a wall of the adjoining building but I hadn't planned on a view anyway. Hotel Meksiko is located next to Lubljana's largest hospital but I never heard a sound from there during my 4 day stay. Breakast Buffet runs from 0730 to 0930 and provides a simple but filling layout. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the room's shower.|NB: The Reception Desk closes about 2000 hrs (8 pm) and the front door is locked. If arriving after that time, be sure to request the code for the keypad lock at the front door from the hotel in advance. It's a 20' walk here from.the central train and bus stations and convenience stores and restaurants are nearby. It's a 30' walk to the central square in Old Town

The room was dirty. Bunch of Spider web and dust. I had the repair our toilet because its not working. The breakfast was a joke. There was no empty seat, so I had to stand while eating, like the horses. The receptionest was kind.
