Hotel Memories Miramar Habana

We arrived with some reservations, having heard about Cuba’s current challenges and mixed reviews regarding hotel standards. However, our experience at Memories Miramar Havana exceeded expectations and left us thoroughly impressed. The service was attentive and professional, the staff exceptionally warm and accommodating, and the facilities both spacious and comfortable. While the overall standards may not align with those of more developed destinations, the charm and hospitality of this hotel created an inviting and memorable atmosphere. The culinary offerings were varied and satisfying, the pool was a source of joy for our children, and the excursions we embarked on were both enriching and unforgettable. We depart with a profound sense of satisfaction and countless cherished memories of our time here. For those seeking a destination that offers something truly unique and culturally vibrant, Cuba is an excellent choice. It promises an experience that lingers long after your journey ends—leaving you with lasting and heartfelt memories.

I have stayed at this hotel for one night because I am leaving the country, so I took the opportunity to spend my last day here before heading to the airport. I really liked the lobby and my room, which is considerably large. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very positive, and the service is excellent. I also enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Overall, I felt very comfortable, and I think it offers a good price-quality ratio. It's a great place to spend a few nights, whether for business or, as in my case, for traveling abroad. Therefore, I think it is a recommended spot.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Memories Miramar! The location is perfect, just a stone's throw away from some beautiful beaches such as Guanabo and also vibrant local attractions, like the Plaza de la Revolución or the stunning Malecon. The staff, with their warm Cuban hospitality, made every moment special with their attentive and friendly service. The hotel facilities are excellent, offering everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Lovely brekfast, plus the value for money is outstanding – you get so much quality for the price! I highly recommend this hotel

We had a great time. The service was very kind and helpful and the resturant had great varity. I loved the pool and enjoyed the well-equiped GYM. I'm looking foward for coming back next year. We also loved the rooms. The beds were very comfortable and beautifully decorated.

This hotel is very pretty! Wifi can be terrible! Works in the lobby and when you are on the way to your room it doesn't work in the Elevator and hall way but it will work in your room you have to be patient. As a Canadian solo traveler on a budget. I would Bring your own bandaid, and other personal items The first bottle of water is free the next one won't be. They dont have kettle/coffee maker in the room so bring your own if you need to. I basically starve here! The only best service I have is from the maid who works here. She made my room so beautifully nice when I was away. The service I got from the staff is decent. The lady who works at the money exchange is lazy she doesn't want to help! Went on a different day. The lady with the glasses us very helpful! The pool is dirty. Lots of dirt and dead bugs I didn't get to swim. The breakfast here has some good selections but it's always cold. So my breakfast experience here is terrible! Food here is terrible!!! I can't eat pork! Bar menu is amazing.

Nice hotel, rooms are big and comfortable. Open buffet breakfast is good with a lot of choices. Also open buffet dinner has a lot of choices. Cafes and restaurants inside good. There is nice live music also. There is pool also.

Hello||I have been coming to Cuba for work for nearly 20 years - me or my staff usually come 2-4 time per year.||We have a complete understanding of the challenges that Cuba faces vs other destinations.||The time I have spent at your hotel this week has been my most disappointing trip of the past number of years.||The issues I have are as follows:||1. Lack of English or french speaking staff. the front reception staff are fairly capable to communicate, BUT the Bar and Buffet staff have essentially no english at all - I struggled to get basic service and when I did get served I struggled to get the bill for payment. Considering 40% of the total tourism that comes to Cuba annually are Canadian , perhaps some more English or French among the staff would better serve you guests.||2. The room appeared to be clean but the strong lingering odor of perspiration or mold (?) would not leave the room even with my efforts to open the window and air the room out over many days.||3. the air condition was quite loud in my room so that it had to be turned off to sleep||4. During my stay I had to get 4 new room cards. I was told the reason was simply ‘ Complicated’ - and simply get a new room key daily||5. During Hurricane Rapheal which passed 55 km from Havana, there seemed to be confusion and no preplanning. Water was coming in from various entrances ( which I assume has happened during previous storms and should have been expected) - but nothing was done to clean that up promptly or barricade the area to ensure safety.||6. The 24 hr lounge was closed with no notice and no explanation at the time. ||7. Then 30 minutes prior to the Buffet was to open for dinner we were informed it would NOT open , and I believe we only were told that because we asked . There was no notices/instruction posted. Other guests continued to try to go to dinner for the next hr , having to then go to reception to be informed it will be closed.||6. After the Storm had passed the island and was heading away to the west at 7:30 PM the hotel staff insisted we go to our rooms for 'safety reasons' - which was absurd as the news was informing us the the rain and wind would subside quickly that evening.||The common problem of all the items above stems from the staff and management not not being able to, or not willing to, communicate effectively.||I hope this review will allow you to put improvements in place so future guests can have a better experience.||Respecfully||KP

With my wife we went in September for a couple of days and we loved it!!! All very clean and organized as well as delicious food. Very close to many attractions. The attention was fantastic, everyone was very friendly, we would certainly return to my wife. Recommended
