This is a really nice little hotel. Its very clean and the reception staff are well dressed and welcoming. They seem to be educated in providing a correct service to travelers. The rooms seem to be very recently refurbished - and the wooden staircase that sits in the middle of the buildling - is beautiful as are the hallways. They feel light and airy. Its also on a quiet street away from the crowds and really near metro Opera. This would suit anyone needing a quiet hotel. I would definitely return to this little gem.

I absolutely loved this boutique hotel. The location was not only perfect but the staff were delightful. I could easily practise my Spanish and this is not always the case in other Europen cities where they always speak back to you in English. It was so clean and the room was beautifully decorated with large walk in shower. The breakfast was also perfect with such a big choice. The best hotel I have stayed in for ages.

Great location, clean and cozy rooms — but what truly made the difference was the service. A special thanks to Yanira, who treated me with outstanding professionalism and warmth. She made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for 3 nights, love the hotel! Very convenient location and staffs are lovely! Yamira checked us in and provided guidance for city walk. She is such a great front desk! Our house keeping lady is also very attentive.

We stayed in Room 203, a twin with a street view and balcony. It was quiet enough and felt airy due to the high ceilings. Aircon was super quiet at night and the beds comfy. We slept very well.||The staff were efficient and helpful.||We didn't take breakfast there given the huge amount of choice a quick stroll away, definitely recommend the San Miguel Market, what a food hall!!

A great hotel in the centre of the city. The Junior Suite we had was excellent. The staff were so helpful. Breakfasts were very good so overall a great stay. The Meninas hotel is part of the adjacent larger Opera hotel and the associated cafe/restaurant was really good.

This hotel is in the middle of all the tourist areas so you can walk to many places. The metro is in the plaza at the end of the block so after a long shopping day you will can get back to your hotel with no problems . The staff is wonderful always willing to help . They have breakfast for a fee and it save time from trying to figure outno where to eat. Have stayed here more than once and the service has not changed always great.

Very concerning and most disappointing hotel experience in recent memory. The sheets are dirty, the towels are dirty, the AC can only be set as low as 22C (72F), changing the room AC temperature requires calling the front desk, furniture is dirty, mold in the bathroom, and the shower head is damaged so it drips much of the water in a way that makes it unpleasant and inefficient to use. Additionally, the beds were made up as two twins instead of one single bed, which was a huge miss considering this was not communicated during booking, nor when we spoke with the hotel by phone in advance of our arrival. The greenwashing also deserves its own mention here: the reason given when the front desk declined the request to lower our room temperature was "to help the environment", as if having trouble sleeping in warm rooms means I don't support protecting the environment. So far the staff have been very dismissive of our concerns. Clearly there is a significant lack of attention to detail here. We are paying way too much for what we're getting and I have no desire to return here again.

Yelp
Home for 3 nights in Madrid. I traveled via train from Barcelona to Madrid so getting to the hotel was easy since all you can take the train from the metro. This hotel is right at the Opera stop so you only had to walk for about 2 minutes. I always got to see the Opera surrounded by so many people on my way out to start my day. You can walk to many tourist spots. There are plenty of food and bar options all within steps away. There's a convenience store just across the way. Just like my Barcelona stop, I was also in room 206. The room was spacious. The bathroom was pretty large. My window looked out to the courtyard below. I was able to get great sleep as it was l pretty quiet once the window was closed. The staff were all friendly.

Yelp
From the outside and the front desk area, this hotel doesn't look like much but the room was great. It was small but very clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint I had was that I could not control the temperature in the room. Granted, it was cold outside as we went in February and I get that they put the heat on but I woke up two nights in a row in a pool of sweat. It was so hot in the room in the middle of the night. I woke up to turn the heat down and nothing was happening on the thermostat so that was uncomfortable. Aside from that, the hotel was in a great location and within walking distance to the center of town and a bunch of small restaurants. The front desk staff was very friendly and checking in and out was painless.

Yelp
The location is great for the moderate price for hotels in the area. If you want to be near the palace and a reasonable walking distance away from many tourist locations, then this hotel is a good choice for you. However, be wary that the WiFi is pretty awful and I mean awful. I've had better connection at a one star hotel. Overall, the rooms are clean but small (depending on what your book). You pay for breakfast, which is common for many European hotels and you have a friendly staff. If WiFi is a MUST for you then I would suggest against booking here.

Yelp
After some browsing online and Yelping, we booked a couple night's stay at Hotel Meninas. It couldn't have be a lovelier start of our Spain trip. Easy to take the public transportation from the airport. Once we got to the plaza, it took some guessing to find the right street. Asked some magazine vendors but the language barrier made it quite challenging. With the help of some finger pointing and our phone GPS, we finally made our way to the hotel. Nothing fancy as far as room space but bed was comfortable, and that was our main requirement. Nice bathroom and shower. FREE Wifi, although weak in the room but pretty strong in the lobby, that was where we spent some time after breakfasts to catch up on emails and FB posts. The breakfast is worth mentioning, and also worth the extra charge for our stay. It was a nice spread with lots of choices, sweet and savory. We usually end up skipping lunch after such a hearty breakfast -- better for your metabolism to kickstart your day with a good meal, right?!! :-) If we were to come back to Madrid for a short stay passing through, we would not hesitate to stay here again, highly recommend!

Yelp
Great location, near Opera Metro. Nice quite street. We stayed in a room overlooking the street and it was super quiet. Nice down pillows and comforters, our only hotel in Spain that had down. Small rooms but comfortable. Tub and shower, nice water pressure and very hot water. Large breakfast room in the basement. It is worth the extra charge to have breakfast here. It is a huge hot buffet with everything. Nice not to worry about breakfast when traveling.

Yelp
This is a very nice small hotel near the opera and Trapsatur the tour guide place qhich makes it very easy for a tourist. I got a room for a double with two twin beds which really should've been just a single because it was too small. I can't imagine how anyone would be able to store two suitcases in this room. The closet barely fit my belongings. The staff is great and helpful since I spoke no Spanish. Overall room is very clean and so is the hotel. They weren't very good at refilling the minibar. This ended up working out for my benefit because it made me look for somewhere to buy water and juice. It turns out there's a supermarket right across the street. This is much cheaper than buying from the hotel minibar.

Yelp
This is a lovely boutique hotel in a quiet backstreet of Madrid which is so close to Opera and the Puerta del Sol you would not believe anywhere within such proximity could be so quiet! Even basic rooms have very large, terribly comfortable beds, a flat screen television, wi-fi access and the all-important air conditioning. The wardrobe was discreet and deceptively big, while the lovely writing desk and delightful stationary made me want to spend the whole of my time in Madrid writing letters to friends from my hotel room! The marble and slate bathroom was superb, with a massive and stylish shower and very large basin which could easily accommodate toothpastes, toothbrushes, flannels, soaps razors and random assorted products of two people! The vast mirror was another very nice touch, and did not seem to steam up while the shower was being used, but whether this has been specially designed I do not know. Breakfast was a generous continental buffet with cooked options available on request and a staggering variety of fruit juices. Despite being a draw for northern Europeans, the heat of August means that most Spaniards and Madrileños escape the interior of Spain, making this month an incredibly cost effective way of visiting this great city. Meninas, a four star hotel, offers very generous special offers on its website during this off-season, and is certainly not alone in doing so. For both comfort and location, this is a great place to stay in Madrid.

Yelp
I was in Madrid for one night and we stayed at Hotel Meninas. This is a boutique hotel tucked away on a side street in the heart of the Opera district. The hotel was very nice but spoke very little english. Everything there was extremely clean, crisp white and relaxing. I was glad they had an elevator as we were on the 5th floor but man I have never seen an elevator so small in my life. The weird thing about this place was to turn on the lights in the hotel room you had to insert your room key. I don't mind having to do that but no one told us this when we checked in so it was a bit confusing and ended up having to travel back downstairs to receive the proper directions. Overall, this is a great spot to stay and was very reasonable prices for how nice it is.

Yelp
Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! On the tenth day of our Spain trip we arrived at Hotel Meninas, with confirmation in hand, and were told our reservations had been canceled by the hotel, and "Madrid is fully booked". Five (5) days before our arrival, they charged our credit card, which we just reported lost/stolen in Barcelona, and a new card would not be available to us for three (3) days. When we arrived, all they would say "is your card was invalid and what if you didn't show up". (But we did and with a valid card!) They found us rooms in an old, poorly placed hotel for more money. It cost us an additional 160E for our well planned vacation. The treatment we received throughout this was poor, to say the least. We would not recommend this hotel!

Yelp
i stayed in a single room, and it was tiny. the bathroom, however, was really large, and they should have saved some of that space for the bdrm! the wifi is totally unreliable in the rooms, but it is pretty strong in the lobby.
