Hôtel Mercure Figeac Viguier du Roy

we choosed hotel for my birthday in Nov. The room was excellent, the breakfast was good. Staffs are friendly and kindly. The only one! Restaurant of Hotel, we took 2 surprise menus. I do'nt high recomment you to take it because the foods were in main menu with small size, the beef stew was cold, Escagot was very salty, so no surprise, you just read menu. High recomment to take Steak and desserts. And the waiter brang wine late.

This is a really nice hotel in the old town. Getting on the hotel is a little tricky but worth it. You drop off your bags and then drive your car to a secure car park a few minutes walk away. We had a large room which was expectedly dark as this is an historic building. The hotel has blended the old with the new very well. The only downside to the room was that the bathroom was quite old fashioned and basic. It needs an upgrade. There is a very nice courtyard and swimming pool. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced with pleasant service. Again breakfast was well done. Check in and check out were easy with very friendly and helpful staff. If you are Figeac then this hotel is a very good place to visit.

One of the most amazing hotels that we have stayed at. This is a must for anyone travelling in the Lot region. The hotel is remarkable, a historic building in the centre of Figeac. On many levels with surprises and delights around every corner and through every door. There are lovely courtyards, small perfect gardens, a pool, places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our room was enormous with every convenience, huge bed, fridge, spacious bathroom, and - at the time of our visit - adequate cooled air conditioning. (See note below) The restaurant is superb quality although the demi pension menu is a little restricted. The Maître d was very accommodating on this point. A superb meal with reasonably priced wine. The staff members we encountered were very professional and friendly. The parking arrangements are not ideal although normal for a hotel in the centre of a historic city. Direct vehicular access is restricted; no complaints, this is entirely to be expected and the staff go to great lengths to assist with bags that can be dropped at a brief stop at the hotel doors. The parking garage is a short (BUT be aware a very steep) walk away. Less able guests should take care. It would be helpful if the hotel made this clear on the website / booking details. I'm sure that arrangements are in place to assist less able guests. Air Conditioning. Worked adequately to cool the room during our stay. The AC is advertised on the web site / booking details with no caveats. In this case "with cooling function". However, a note in the room confirms that it is centrally controlled and may be on either heat or cool mode. Some clarity around this on the website / booking details would be useful so that an informed choice could be made.

The Figeac Mercure Hotel is an outstanding place to have dinner and stay in their medieval large rooms. The service is great and make sure you let them know you want to park your car in their secure locked parking area around back of hotel. A bit of a drive through narrow streets. Just drop bags at front and it's an easy few minutes walk down a pathway back to the hotel. Make sure you have dinner as well - exceptional

This is an exceptional hotel. Beautiful facilities, modern and spacious rooms. An excellent in house restaurant (and excellent breakfast). The hotel is comprised of several contiguous buildings that have been seamlessly combined. It also has a small chapel, lovely pool area and pretty gardens. You cannot do any better - especially at this price.

The hotel is in a medieval palace in the city centre. Our room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The Nuxe amenities were a luxurious add on.

Absolutely my best Hotel stay ever and I have stayed in hotels on 5 continents. Every one on the staff all the way to the Hotel Manager Olivier were super professional, helpful and friendly. The Building itself an old Chateau, fortress and small abbey with century old history that is awe inspiring and that is putting it mildly. Absolutely will return again.
