Hotel Metamorphis

Lovely hotel, great location, staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, with a lovely view of a courtyard and the popular bar just below our room. 5 minutes from the Old Town Square. Room decor was a bit dated. Great hotel for exploring Prague

I have visited Prague over 10 times and have stopped at this hotel for the majority of those times the last being in 2017. Therefore when going back to Prague this year with a party of 10, we booked here as this was my go to hotel as it had always been great with an amazing location. Unfortunately I couldn’t have been more wrong! Looks like after 2017 they have sold part of the hotel and now they have only one side. No elevator so you have to walk upstairs which can be hard if you are on the top floor with luggage as no one will help. The rooms were a very poor standard plus dated, if you wanted a coffee you had to pay! No way would I call this a 4 star hotel 3 at a push. Unfortunately I’m very sad to say I will not be going back to this hotel. Even though it has great memories for me it has just dropped so far behind. If you want a budget hotel but not budget prices with a great location this still might be for you!!

A nice hotel in a medieval building and in a very convenient location - 2 minutes from the main square. Though in summertime the bars on the smaller square the hotel is on might generate noise, but in October it wasn't a problem. Nice and helpful staff. Bit disappointed with the breakfast (served in an another hotel nearby), the breakfast room was too small to handle all the guests and food kept running out.

Lovely quirky hotel in a perfect location just around the corner from the Old Town Square. Had to go outside and across the courtyard to reach our room, all doors were accessed by a key fob. The room was lovely with a large bathroom and very clean.|Unusually you have to leave the hotel and walk for 2 minutes to a different hotel for breakfast which was fine but could be an issue if it's inclement weather.|Our room overlooked the street and unfortunately it gets very noisy especially between 11pm and midnight with revellers and then followed by rubbish trucks.|Would definitely visit again but would ask for a quieter room.

The room was well-equipped, with sufficient bath towels and toilet paper. The water pressure was strong and the drainage worked well. However, there was a slightly damp smell in the room. It would be nice if a dehumidifier or air purifier could be provided for guests. There are bars nearby that operate until late at night, but the double windows block most of the noise. For guests who are not too sensitive to sound, it should still be acceptable.The location of the hotel is perfect — only a 5-minute walk to the Powder Tower and Astronomical Clock, about 10 minutes to Charles Bridge, and around 5–10 minutes to the nearest tram and bus stops. Walking through the lively city is enjoyable, so the distance doesn’t feel long at all.Upon check-in, Mr. John kindly assisted us by carrying our luggage to the room — we truly appreciate his help.

One of the best hidden gem hotels! The rooms look very unique, staff is very friendly (special thanks to Barbara - she’s very professional and super friendly and made us feel welcome from the first second). A lot of beautiful bars and cafes are to find close by. We will book the hotel definitely again for our next visit.

What a wonderful hotel! The staff is incredible and the location near Old Town was perfect! You step out the doors and there’s a lot of restaurants and bars with a lively evening scene! We staying in room 841 which has cathedral ceilings with skylights and a small balcony that has a beautiful view of a cathedral! We really enjoyed it! There’s no elevator and it’s 85 stair steps to the room so if mobility is an issue, ask for a lower room! I’d stay here again!

After hours check in was easy. Beautiful interiors. Great location to explore the city or walk to the main train station for day trips.
