We stayed in November 2025. Great location, right on the lake, steps from the Lake Como ferries and ticket office, plenty of restaurants nearby, 5 minute walk from Como Lago train station, 10 minute walk from Como San Giovanni train station, bank with ATMs in the adjacent building, many bus stops right around the building, Duomo and shopping area within 5 minutes walk. The hotel itself is great. We had a so called ‘Classic’ room, i.e. room with no lake views. But Classic Room No. 71, where we stayed, does have a window looking out to the lake and mountains. Room was clean and spacious with a good amount of storage. No USB charging port inside the room. I asked the front desk where we could buy an adapter, the young lady graciously offered a loaner charger/adapter for use. That didn’t work for us, but just offering that was a very nice gesture. Bathroom was large and clean. The front desk people were very nice. I believe we met Farah and Al Fin. Both very helpful, professional and friendly. The day we were leaving we had to catch the 5:19 am train, so we checked out very early, around 4 am. Al Fin offered us coffee from the restaurant so many times. We went in November, and heard that the hotel will be closed from mid-December to early February. Not sure if that is the case for other hotels in the area. Please check when you make plans. The breakfast spread in the downstairs restaurant was awesome, in my limited experience a typical Italian offering of breads, cheeses, croissants, pastries, milk, coffee, fruits, meat, plus regular continental fair of eggs, potatoes, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.
