They all come with a minibar and a TV with satellite and pay-per-view channels. Some overlook Lake Como. Breakfast is served in the dining hall or on the terrace. Evening meals at the Imbarcadero Restaurant include local specialities and fresh fish from Lake Como. Just 300 metres from Como Cathedral, the hotel is well located for exploring the city. Just back from a lovely week. The hotels location is amazing directly on the edge of the lake. Not sure how, but we ended up with a lake view and a balcony! I have to say this made our holiday as the views were incredible.|We found the reception staff very polite and helpful. Also our maid was so nice and kept our room clean and tidy. Yes, the rooms are a little out dated but we find most Italian bedrooms the same! Breakfast was basic but good.|We never ate in the hotel restaurant it it looked very popular! However, we enjoyed many cocktails in the bar and they were delicious!|We would definitely recommend this hotel

Location is PERFECT. The room was spacious, breakfast quite basic but fresh and good. The hotel in general feels very old, not in a good way - the corridor floors, the lobby, the bathrooms, the elevators. The bathtub with a ultra-cheap, plastic curtain that either floods the bathroom or sticks to your backside = far from ideal. The windows are old and the street noise is a thing in the rooms, unfortunately.

The hotel’s location is excellent, making it very easy to explore the area. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you for the great experience!

I was with a tour group and we were beginning our tour in Como Italy. This was the hotel chosen by the tour company and rated 4 star. Apparently they never showed my tour group this room. I always go a day early and stay at the hotel because I have trouble with airline flights getting in late. So I made a reservation here for a single room for €220 that night. Well when I got in and saw this room, it looked like the servants quarters on the attic floor of a mansion. It was down a 10 foot hallway that was dark no lights to see to put your key in. There was another door in the hall for another Room. My room had a queen bed in it with about a foot on three sides of the bed. One side of the bed had no nightstand just a light hanging there. Then you had a little short hallway and that’s where they put a desk with a chair. And that went into the bathroom, which was very nice by the way. The room was dark and awful. I did let my tour company know. I will attach pictures.

The hotel was centrally located on the lake, and our junior suite was clean and bright with 3 windows. We would have liked more bathroom counter space and shower niches for our toiletries. The restaurant was convenient and the included breakfast buffet was good. Bathrobes and slippers were nice touches.

Great location but disappointing stay Pros: Beautiful exterior, view, and location. Parking available onsite and breakfast included. Cons: Very dated rooms, not as pictured. Bed linens were not fresh (had a smell to them). However staff came up to remake the bed quickly. Room was very hot at night. Expensive. Overall, we paid for the location.

The only positive about this hotel was the location (close to ferry and old town), staff were pleasant but the hotel itself is old, dirty and definitely not a 4 star. The rooms are extremely tired and run down. Bathroom tiny with small hard bath towels and a shower one person can barely fit into. |No coffee , tea or kettle in room. I was charged 5 Euro for the water( no welcome water in our room). |Breakfast was below average. |I would definitely not recommend this hotel!

We stayed 3 nights as part of a holiday to the Lakes. This hotel is very dated, with heavy old fashioned furniture and a very uninteresting dining room. The breakfast probably the worst we have ever eaten. Poor selection, scrambled eggs had an unusual soapy taste & an unappealing appearance. The coffee was also unpleasant . And waiters not especially helpful|However, the staff otherwise could not have been more helpful, especially the reception staff , and the waiters in the outdoor bar area. Our room had a very good bathroom, and the bed was comfortable.

Yelp
Expensive. Lovely views. Rick hard bed. Not luxury, barely Holiday Inn worthy. Location, location, location.

Yelp
Our room was very small, but hey this is Europe. The room was recently renovated, nice and clean. Plus we had a great view of Lake Como and the Funicolare Como-Brunate from our room balcony. We ate at the Restorante Imbarcadero connected to the hotel lobby. The service was charming and the food was good.

Yelp
The hotel is waterfront and in a great central area. The rooms are outdated and not very comfortable, but they are clean. My only issue is that they were not "four star" as advertised.

Yelp
I am shocked to see such positive reviews for this hotel. The only reason I gave it any stars is for its prime location on Lake Como and proximity to many of the shops and restaurants in the area. I wanted to love this hotel, and from the outside it is gorgeous. Yet when we arrived inside , the hotel was EXTREMELY outdated and dark, and our room looked absolutely nothing like what had been pictured online. From the small elevators (which we had to wait about 10 minutes for to leave our floor) to the horrific buffet breakfast that nobody appeared to be able to eat, our stay was very disappointing overall. Better luck going next door to the Palace Hotel, or better yet across the lake to Tremezzo, Bellagio, or Menaggio.

Yelp
Stayed a couple nights in one of the unrenovated junior suites. Though the room's design wasn't as contemporary as advertised on the website, it was spacious and comfortable; the antique decor and chandeliers added charm, and there were a couple balconies, which offered lake views. The location was stellar--just across the street from the lake and ferry, very close to great shops and restaurants, and around the corner from €2 gelato. The continental breakfast had great variety, and the on-site restaurant was reasonably priced and offered outdoor seating so we could take in the lovely view. We did have a slight ant problem, but after alerting the front desk, they were quick to have someone come up and spray.

Yelp
This review is for the restaurant only. My wife and I had dinner here tonight. We were seated around 7:30 p.m. on the upper deck patio; a great setting with an incredible view of Lake Como. We were given bread promptly and our meal and wine orders taken within a reasonable amount of time. From there on, the service got progressively worse (slower). We are used to Italian dinners and were not in a rush tonight. However, we ordered only two courses, and 3 hours for two courses was ridiculously slow. The staff spontaneously apologized to us when our main course was served, indicating that something went wrong with this part of our order. My wife had a steak with mushroom, I had Osso Bucco. My wife's steak was very good, well prepared and a good cut of meat. My Osso Bucco had decent flavor, but was a terrible cut of meat; very stringy and tough....the exact opposite of what Osso Bucco should be. It was too late, and I was too frustrated with the experience to have dessert, so can't comment on that. The check took 15 minutes to arrive..... Would give this place a begrudging 3 stars for food, and 2 stars for service. Everyone on the staff was very nice but set a new definition for SLOW. Fortunately, after stating I did not like my main course, the price of it was immediately deducted from the check. Hopefully, this review will be read by staff and will lead to improvements. At this point, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
