Hotel Metropolis

We chose this hotel for a 4 day trip to Ioannina and we were really happy with it! Amazing location right in the heart of Ioannina, on the same road as most of the restaurants and coffee places and also 2-3 minutes (walking) from the lake. Banks and atms also across the street. Our room was clean, warm and had all the commodities we needed for our stay. Room service was quick and the staff were professional, polite and really pleasant. Unfortunately we didn't try the breakfast (it was included in our room price but we were too full from our dinners to crave something so early in the morning). Thank you for your hospitality!

This traditional Ioannina hotel has had a successful makeover a few years ago and is a very good choice in the centre of the city, notwithstanding issues of traffic noise; we kept windows closed at night and relied on the efficient aircon for comfort. Our deluxe room (an upgrade) was very comfortable; particular praise for the bed! The shower was excellent plus we had a freestanding bath tub. Breakfast is served in an attractive setting; omelettes are excellent and I particularly appreciated a plate of fresh fruit. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly choose this hotel again if revisiting Ioannina, a lively town in a glorious setting on Lake Pamviotis, surrounded by mountains. I also recommend an excursion to the Perama caves, a short local bus ride away.

The perfect choice for Ioannina! First of all- super easy to reach with your car! It's located on the main road, and it's very easy to drop off your luggage or find parking nearby (we found one really close, but I know there are a few parking garages around). It's located mere few hundred meters from the city center and the old town. Everything was reachable by foot and we didn't have to move our car at all! The rooms themselves are brand new and stunning. We were given a free upgrade to a deluxe room and it was amazing! Super clean and spacious. The staff were also very very nice and accommodating. A big shout-out to Vasilis, who gave us fabulous dinner recommendations, helped with planning our day, and the next morning even got there extra early to make sure we have time for breakfast since we had to leave early!! He was so nice, he really loves his job and it was important for him that everything went perfectly. Overall- really 10 out of 10!

We spent 2 days at Ioannina, the hotel was the best part. Clean, roomy, and the staff was outstanding. With in walking distance to wherever you wanted to go. Breakfast was great with many choices of food. Recommend it highly. And I'm not someone who is easily impressed.

This hotel is centrally located, and is within walking distance to sights and restaurants that Ioannina has to offer. Don’t let the historic Art Deco exterior fool you into thinking the hotel is outdated. It is very modern inside, with a modest cafe/dining area. The rooms are spotless and very well maintained. Bonus: the staff are very helpful and super- friendly, and very accommodating ( Yassas Vasilis! We miss your welcoming morning greetings!); the continental breakfasts are very generous! They even cook custom order eggs any style, and the coffee is excellent! I strongly recommend this hotel. We could not be anymore fortunate to have found this place. Will definitely stay here again on a future visit.

We loved our 2 nights at Hotel Metropolis - beautiful quality room, excellent breakfast included, and best of all the friendly and attentive staff, especially Vassilis who took care of us and was the best hotelier ever! Brilliant location and we’d love to come back.

We come to Ioannina every year and have stayed at many places. This time, a shorter duration we wanted to stay near old town area near the bars, shops and activity so we chose Metropolis and SO GLAD we did. Incredible hotel nicely designed rooms, amazing breakfast and incredibly polite staff from check in to breakfast to just everything. Also see pics. Rich history here and refurbishment done in good taste. We absolutely will be back!

My parents and I just returned from a last minute mini trip in Ioannina and all I have to say is that we loved our stay at Metropolis Hotel! ||Great rooms - beautifully decorated - very very clean - spacious enough - comfortable large beds with good quality of mattress! ||We also loved the delicious breakfast, moreover the hospitality of staff and hosts! ||The location is also perfect ( walking distance from all famous restaurants / cafe / shops ). ||2 min walk you can also find a private parking where with a small amount of euro you can easily park your private car ! ||Thank you Metropolis team, we hope to see you again in the near future!
