I couldn’t have asked for more from this hotel for my first time in Bologna. ||It’s situated just off of the Main Street that leads you to the main square and when you walk in it’s a breath of fresh air, very modern and lives up to the name boutique. The staff were all incredibly friendly and were super attentive which was wonderful!||Our room was immaculate and was looked after very well by the staff each day. The breakfast was a variety of everything that is full of deliciousness and left us incredibly satisfied each morning also!||The bar area is relatively small but it wasn’t an issue as it was never super busy which was also nice. ||Couldn’t be happier with our stay here 10/10. When I return to Bologna I will be returning here!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. Upon arrival, I was informed that the room I had booked was located 200 meters away from the main building. To avoid this inconvenience, I was offered the largest room in the main building for an additional fee. I accepted the offer, believing I was paying for added comfort and convenience. However, my experience was far from satisfactory: 1. The room was dusty, the bathtub was very dirty, and the towels were unwashed. 2. While I initially overlooked these issues, the situation worsened when, early in the morning, I was awakened by extremely loud construction noise within the building. The noise was so disruptive that I couldn’t sleep at all. I reported this issue by going to the lobby and informing the staff for the first time. After that, I called twice to follow up on the matter. Unfortunately, my concerns were dismissed. The only response I received was a reminder that my room checkout was at 11 a.m., which I was already aware of. Despite my complaints, no action was taken to stop the construction noise, leaving me incredibly disappointed. Furthermore, you should have informed me in advance about the construction noise. Instead, you offered me the largest and most expensive room in the hotel, which turned out to come with disruptive noise pollution. This significantly impacted the quality of my sleep and overall experience. I chose your hotel for a restful and pleasant stay, but my experience was far from what I expected. I hope you will take this feedback seriously to ensure such incidents do not happen again.

Arrived and checkedin on a Saturday afternoon. Big mistake checking in on a weekend b/c they block off the main street, which I did not know. I had my wife get out of the car to talk to the police. Eventually, the police escorted us to the hotel and we parked the car close to the front entrance. Then I was given directions to the bologna garage a few blocks out. I had to back out to get out of the alley and onto the street to get to the garage. After that, I just left my car there and basically just walked and explored the next 3 days and nights. The hotel room was comfortable. No issues. Breakfast was good (15 euros/ea). Service was great. Overall, customer service above par. I will stay here again when I am Bologna since I now know how to get around. Also helps when you speak a bit of Italian, which my wife and I did.

This is a review for the Junior Suite in Olive’s Court. Strange round about way with a lot of up and down stairs to get to the room. Room was spacious and had great AC, but had light switches that made no sense, a dual shower that didn’t work, and sinks that didn’t drain. Also, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing/saying. Unfortunately, not a fan of that particular room set up, but main hotel may be different.

You don’t expect to get the dodgy apartment when you book a 4 star hotel for 200 euro . We arrived to reception and found out we don’t live in the hotel but the apartment with you have to walk to. They don’t let us cancel and refund either . The apartment was at really noisy street downstairs with dirty walls, plastic glasses for toothbrush and bad mattress

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff so very friendly. Our room was lovely with a modern decor and a terrace. The breakfast was amazing and so full of choices. I loved the rooftop bar where their is a breath taking view. Our server and bartender became friends quickly. I highly recommend this hotel as I will always stay here when in Bologna.

I had a very disappointing experience with Hotel Metropolitan in Bologna. Due to the issue with CrowdStrike last month, my flights were canceled, leaving me unable to travel on scheduled dates. Despite this situation being entirely out of my control, the hotel refused to offer me a refund or even a credit for future use. While other hotels around the world were understanding and cooperative with their customers under these circumstances, Hotel Metropolitan simply kept my money and showed no concern for the inconvenience I faced. This kind of rigid and unaccommodating policy is unacceptable, especially during a time when flexibility is crucial. I would strongly advise against booking with this hotel if you’re looking for a place that values customer service and is willing to work with you in unexpected situations.

Well situated in central Bologna, small but comfortable well appointed rooms. Good breakfast, roof terrace for pre or post dinner. Great staff especially Luca on reception.
